I prefer dogs, but cats are easier to take care of.

I love all animals, but for different reasons, and for different situations. Cats are good for snuggling, dogs are good for playing, birds are good for conversations (especially the ones that talk back), and fish are good for meditation. If I had it my way, I would be like Futtershy, and have lots of animals all around me. However, I have to keep it to one pet, and that is my cat.

What are you talking about? All animals are good for conversation. Not just birds. For example, Dogs tell great jokes, and fish are great for deeper philosophical conversations.
