Speechless was quiet, letting Maple to finish talking, and when she did finish, Speechless made a sound if disagreement, and when he got on to the bed, he took his notebook and again by flipping pages and pointing at words, he 'said' looking serious for a moment, "Don't blame yourself for me getting him after me." "It was only matter of time until something like this happened." He returned to his warm smile. -

Michael got surprised when Verna slammed the cup onto the table, but after he noticed the she was shaking her hand, he understood that it was probably because the cup was hot to handle, not really a problem he faced usually, he being rather resistant against temperature, but he knew it could be painful. Michael followed Verna with his eyes, not looking right at her of course, but just keeping her around the edge of his vision, just in case there was anything visual he needed to react to. Michael was aware of the awkwardness of the situation, and he was thinking about breaking the silence, but luckily for him, Verna choose to do so first. "I'm Michael, nice to meet you too." He replied, trying to sound laid-back, but it was obvious that talking with strangers wasn't his strongest quality. He then continued with generally polite tone, figuring that it would only get more awkward if he didn't say anything else, "First time at this cafe?" "I don't think I have seen you here before.". He wasn't happy with his choice of words, but he had to roll with it now. -
Why do people hate good guys?

So, always may not the be right word to use (though where I come from, saying always can mean 99% of the time), but the point still stands, they do win most of the time, so it still ruins enjoyment from them for some people, because one knows they'll most likely win in the end. -edit- what I mean with that, is that most people understand that when you say "this always happens", you don't mean that it can never not-happen, it's just that it happens most of the times. -

Why do people hate good guys?

Sure there's losses along the stories, but like you said and come back stronger. There will be scarifies yes, there will be lost battles yes, but in all stories I have seen, good guys will win in the end, not yet have I seen a story where villain gets a perfect win, where villain destroys the good guys for good. -

Though Slumberfur's attack was successful, the light brown cat surpassed Slumberfur's fighting skills, and it didn't take long until Slumberfur was thrown away from top of it, and left to stand panting, looking even more angry than before, but also.....slightly humiliated. It could be seen that Slumberfur didn't seem to have any injuries from the fight, and he didn't, because the brown cat had kept its claws inside the whole fight, but luckily there was no cat besides Jinx seeing it, so the humiliation wasn't as bad as it could be, considering he didn't need tell anyone about it. The brown cat looked at Jinx now, it was the same cat that had visited Jinx at the Camp, but there was another detail that stuck out, it seemed that Slumberfur had gotten a pretty good hit on the side of the cat, but though the wound was looking rather nasty, there was no single drop of blood anywhere, not even in the wound. Slumberfur naturally attacked again, but this time the cat blocked it and proceed to hold Slumberfur against the ground with its paw like he was just a kit. The cat hissed, but somehow managed to sound amused as it looked at Jinx "Your brother is rather laughable isn't he." It then turned towards Slumberfur who was struggling under its paw, Slumberfur couldn't understand how this cat was so strong that it held him in place with one paw "Though I have to say I'm surprised, we might have underestimated you." Then the then cat let Slumberfur go, and just padded behind a tree, disappearing as quickly as it had appeared, taking the scent of blood with it. At this point, Slumberfur looked utterly humiliated, obviously not happy about what had happened. -

Michael hated crowds, they made him uncomfortable, so he wasn't exactly enjoying the cafe being so full, but he managed it by putting his earbud back in his ear, still leaving it loose enough for him to hear what was happening around him. He stared at his coffee, holding his hand around it as he sank into his thoughts, listening the music, he blended in the crowd pretty well, he was wearing a black leather jacked and gloves, accompanied with tan cargo pants and general black leather boots, nothing special, but other than that, he was far from normal. He broke out of his thoughts when he noticed someone coming in the cafe, he looked around him, and acknowledge in his mind that until the girl that had walked in took the coffee on the go, she would most likely have to sit to Michael's table since there wasn't room anywhere else, and there wasn't really anywhere to stand either. And like Michael had predicted, she indeed came to his table after walking a bit, so Michael pulled off the earbud again, and sipped little bit of his coffee, before looking at the girl. "Uh.. sure, go ahead." He wasn't exactly a social butterfly, but he didn't mind getting a possible conversation-partner. -

Because in every single movie and story you know that the good guys will win, it gets boring when you know the ending when before it starts. And another reason is that many times the character of the good guy is either a cliché or otherwise boring, while villains have a personality and sometimes even a good point. -

It was a cold and cloudy autumn day, Michael took off the right earpiece of his earbuds as he entered a small cafe. The cafe was rather full, there seemingly being only one small table free, and naturally Michael sat on said empty table after he had bought himself a coffee, chocolate mocha to be exact. It was rather boring day for him, he hadn't done anything worth mentioning and he didn't have any plans for rest of the day either. OOC: https://mlpforums.com/topic/171934-1x1-with-gabriel-ooc/

"Don't take it personally, no kittypet gets treated here any better, though there is a legend about a kittypet who became the leader of the Thunderclan, but that's just that, a legend." Slumberfur mentioned "I just wish we could get along, at least as long as we have to." Scent of blood appeared around the two cats, and a hostile light brown cat walked from behind a tree, Slumberfur recognized the cat from his dream, it hissed "How interesting, a worthless kittypet has tainted the clan blood." "Too bad we didn't know this earlier, my friend could have killed them." the cat didn't seem to pay any attention to Jinx, and it was obvious that the goal was to anger Slumberfur, and it was working "Well, it doesn't matter, slow death fits them better anyway." The cat didn't get to continue, because Slumberfur charged at it. Slumberfur's attack was more successful than it had been with the dark cat, and the two cats were now rolling around as angry ball of fur. -

It was only after Maple's reply that Speechless realized he could have 'said' the same thing bit less...awkwardly, but well, it didn't really matter. But what mattered was that thinking about his injury, had made Speechless realize something, he had realized that he was scared, scared of the red pegasus who had been seconds away from killing him. But he smiled to hide said fear from Maple. He held his injured leg on Maple's hoof while he got up from the couch, also supporting himself by holding on the couch with his wing, and he didn't let go of the couch before he managed to get his another wing over Maple for support. When the weight moved on his legs, there was a notable increase in Speechless' shaking, enough for Maple to be able notice, most likely caused by his legs being weak from his tiredness and dizziness. -
