  1. @Illiad Easle Ædriga shook her head "No, I no want there, I no like there." there was no question about it, sure she missed her cave and the little treasure she had managed to collect, but it wasn't worth all the bad things "I now small and soft, some day I big and strong, but other dragons now big and strong, some day more big and more strong." it was a losing battle, it didn't matter what she did here, as it wasn't her size alone that was the problem, the problem was her size compared to others, sure she would become bigger, but so would those who were already bigger than her.
  2. @Blitz Boom Ruby didn't show much reaction back to the griffons, mainly showing slight smugness as she observed the guards' reactions, she enjoyed their discomfort, she liked being able to cause suffering to weaker creatures without doing anything that could cause trouble, and this was one of those times, the guards couldn't do anything to her because ultimately she had just helped Charir to catch a wild animals, a detail in their way of thinking that to Ruby proved even more just how flawed the whole morality thing was. Charir moved on top of the wagon in a way that he could see the creature pulling the wagon as the two griffons passed them and took a sniff of air to get an idea of what the creature smelled like, and he would keep following it with his eyes until they reached and angle where the wagon and or griffons blocked the view, at which point he would return to the front of Marley's wagon, still staying on top of it. "Yes straight to Ponyville, and yes, you are correct that I don't care, though I don't see why you care either." Ruby stated "As far as they are concerned, you're just someone I hired, why would my actions have any effect on their opinion towards you?" "And I know you know your way with words well enough to convince them on that if they are stupid enough to not realize it without." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Though I appreciate the offer of help, I can handle training myself, it goes for more than just kicking things, and I know how I can practice it." Scarecrow responded "And I think we could keep looking around here, I have no hurry anywhere and I can't get tired, besides, this is more important than anything I would do in the forest." He didn't comment on Lyriel's words about her history, as he didn't know what he could comment, he had offered help before, to which it had been stated there was nothing he could help with, and he lacked the knowledge to effectively comfort someone without solving their problem. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trox made a dismissive gesture with his hand "Don't worry about it, it's not a sensitive topic, it has been a while since it happened, and besides, I've been injured both before and after it." Onache's services weren't needed this time, Trox had no trouble talking about these things, and even with the hesitation he had regarding the scars, it was less about it being sensitive to him, and more about him protecting his sister, as he didn't want Sheska to be forced to remember the event's that to them had just happened regardless of how long it may actually have been, time passed differently when you were asleep. "It wasn't just an injury, you almost died." Trox patted his sister in comforting manner "Don't sell yourself short, I was in good hands, even if you were bit rough afterwards." it seemed to work, as Sheska didn't come up anything to argue with before Trox realized they hadn't answered the question "Oh, the answer to your question is no, it wasn't an accident, it was a battle, technically we won but it wasn't really a victory." he turned serious with the last words "May they all rest in peace."
  3. @Starforce Glimmer "Don't worry about the style, as long as you don't purposefully mess your mane up it should hold up just fine, the way manes and tails keep their style is almost magical." it usually took just bit of combing to get them back to right style, regardless of how crazy and weird your style was, it was odd. As she spoke, Frail would go help Sparkly to walk and would bring her into the guest room's bathroom "And like I said, I'll join you for few moments for the star watching when it's time for that." When they got to the bathroom, Frail quickly showed how the shower worked and what did what, it wasn't that different from human shower, the biggest difference being that everything was made to be easily used by hooves rather than hands. After it seemed Sparkly would manage, Frail would leave her alone and go do her own things, and if Sparkly was one to listen for hoofsteps, she would be able to hear Frail go to the door she had left the stuff to earlier, before the steps got too quiet to be heard over the shower.
  4. "I'm not too sure about that." Jenna admitted "I mean I seem to get stronger with age, but I prefer not to wait that long, and you? I don't want to downplay you but in what way would you even get stronger? only thing I can think of is physical strength, which you can train through exercise."
  5. "Yeah I know, in fact, I was well aware of it back then too, Talon just never bothered to replace it because entertainment was and is the least of their concerns." Jenna mentioned "It was interesting place to be in that regard, sources of entertainment were all quite ancient as they were not priority, while everything to do with training were top of the line and more advanced than things in the market."
  6. @Starforce Glimmer Frail thought for a second "You are free to do that as you please, I can join you for a moment or two today, but I won't be outside for too long, it has been a very tiring day." she stated, putting the dishes to dry and putting the remaining leftovers back to where she took them from. "Speaking of, I still need to put few things where they belong, will you stay here or do you want me to help you into your room? I noticed that you still have some sand on you, so you could probably use a quick shower." sand could cause discomfort if it was left in one's mane and fur for too long.
  7. @Illiad Easle "Thank you." Ædriga thanked before leaving the table after Ætheron, and she waved before exiting the house, she didn't necessarily know what these gestures were for, but she had picked them up from others and it didn't seem she was doing it wrong, so she continued doing them. "Maybe." she responded "Need time if want know if like, no can know if only see."
  8. @Starforce Glimmer "I know what all of those are, and I know what they all taste like here, I just haven't have any reason to eat them." Frail explained as she finished her own food and got up to do the dishes "I'm not big fan of eating outside alone and I can't be bothered to make anything complicated after a day of work." "But since you brought up Ice cream and cereal, cow milk or plant 'milk', I'm not really fan of either, but unlike something like meat, milk doesn't bother me, so you don't need to worry about that." her voice was back to the usual friendly and casual tone.
  9. @Blitz Boom Charir not understanding a word that was being said, kept being curious and mostly ignored the conversation, only paying enough attention to be ready in case something happened, though luckily he didn't really need to take part anyway since the others took care of talking. The griffons wouldn't be able to see any break in an act or anything with Ruby, after all, this 'pony' was ironically enough probably the most tolerating of the bunch when it came to death and brutality "We do, in fact, we last hunted today, the smaller lizard even took a small trophy from the hunt." her tone was nonchalant, but there was just enough pride mixed in that it told clearly about her not caring about the way the griffons spoke about ponies, the use of the word lizard was also purposeful, it was a way to challenge the inferiority of ponies without stating it outright. She of course believed ponies were inferior, but she had a act to keep up, and a pony thinking ponies were inferior could raise some questions. "Though I admit I don't know much about collecting hides, I prefer collecting bones." And if her words weren't enough, her actions soon proved that she had stronger stomach than the guards, as during the conversation, a crow had gotten bit too brave and went to bother Charir, and Charir got a hit in on it around the time Ruby finished her last sentence. The hit wasn't enough to kill the bird though, and instead it fell injured hitting Ruby in the head and landing in front of her, after which Ruby just looked at the injured bird and crushed its head with her hoof, which of course sent out quite a nasty sound, after which she threw the now dead bird to Charir, who looked quite apologetic when his eyes met Ruby's. He proceeded to eat the bird when Ruby looked back towards the griffons. She moved her hoof against the ground a bit to clean off the worst of what had stuck to it, good thing they were going out of the city so dirty hooves didn't really matter. She then looked at the two griffons again, with obviously fake remorse on her face and in her tone she said "Oh, I hope you aren't too sentimental about your less developed kin, I didn't consider that before ending its life" it was meant as more of a jab rather than insult, but ultimately she didn't really care how it was taken. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It made certain sense that Scarecrow couldn't truly feel the emotions he would have felt if he could, after all, feelings were very physical thing, being the work of different chemicals in the brain, and Scarecrow had neither, the chemicals or the brain., though who knew, maybe there was still a way for that feeling to return someday, his existence alone went against nature, so it wasn't out of the question that something like that could happen. "It was...refreshing, I can't say I see the appeal of kicking a ball, but at least it was different from my usual existence." "And it is positive that no trouble presented itself that would have caused problems, but it seems I need to train myself a bit on the use of correct amount of strength, it is tricky to regulate that without the usual limits." he didn't want to accidentally harm someone by being too rough --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The kobolds would try the new ones one at a time, and Sheska having the softer options, she would be the first one to go through them both "They are both good, though the first one, Honey Yum was it called? It was bit better, I don't really have any specific reason for that, but if I had choose from these two, I would more likely take that one." it was the chocolate that did it for her, even if she didn't know it herself for sure, though the honey was also big part of it, it wasn't a new taste for her per say, but the honey here was sweeter than back home, the honey and the flowers used for honey back in their Equestria had been twisted by the magical night of Nightmare moon, so they, like everything else, was that bit of more unpleasant than here. For Trox it was bit more clear why he had the opinion he had "The Licorice Bomb was better from my two, the other one wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, but the constantly changing taste isn't really my thing." it didn't mean he wouldn't take one if offered in future, like he said, it wasn't bad, it just changed bit too quickly "Maybe if each taste was around bit longer it could work better for me." "Would have loved to have access to something like the Bombs back when I lost my limbs though, they're surprisingly calming to eat." instead he had been chewing on wood and sucking ice, sure it had worked, but something like this would have obviously been more pleasant.
  10. @Starforce Glimmer "Yeah you mentioned that earlier, I just brought it up because you talked about 'fatty' foods, and as you probably know, fat comes from the same place as more solid meat, meaning that it's not welcome here either." Frail mentioned as she ate her own mixture of stuff, she wasn't necessarily big fan of the food either, mostly due to some of it being quite old at this point, they being leftovers as she had mentioned "And if you really don't care what you eat, that makes my life bit easier, but just to make sure, you do know you don't need to try to suck up to me? I'm of course not saying you're doing that, but I just want you to know that you can disagree with me, I won't throw you out because of that." her tone was kind yet there was bit of seriousness in it, not seriousness as a bad thing, but seriousness as in, she meant what she said "You need to act quite badly for me to throw you out, and even then you will most likely get a warning before that."
  11. @Illiad Easle Ædriga didn't respond to Ditzy as she didn't really know what to say to it, she wasn't used to being told so...positive things, and it felt weird to have someone empathize. She didn't want to seem like she ignored it either though, so she gave a slow nod with a smile as a response, it was weird, now that she was getting the hang of the whole smiling thing, it felt almost like smiling made her just a bit happier. For Dinky's questions, they all were easy enough for Ædriga to come up with responses, but the answers themselves weren't that easy, and her responses, all after moment of thinking, were in order "I no know" "Maybe" and "Maybe" she didn't yet know of her future, she knew what she wanted to happen, but she couldn't be sure if it would, and while yes, she now currently was staying with Ætheron and was most likely to end up to live in the forest, 'now' was longer timespan to her than it may have been to a pony foal.
  12. "I don't remember the name, it was black and white and you shot what I think were supposed to be asteroids with a triangle you controlled." Jenna explained "And I wouldn't say I was good at it, I just was the only player, there was some existing scores sure, but I think I was the first one to play it more than once."
  13. "We can't go against all of them." Jenna admitted "We need to stay defensive, and possibly hidden for now." "If we end up going against them, it has to be after they have scattered into smaller groups." it wasn't a pleasant idea, since it meant they would have plenty of time to cause harm, but even her powers wouldn't be enough to take on an entire army of beings that can survive being crushed by two buildings.
  14. @Lucid_Nightlight Until Ruby had already gone through every possible hiding place, she would continue looking for and getting rid of survivors as the coyote revealed himself and started talking, his bravery gave him the honor to be the only survivor, though it didn't mean he would be left unharmed, but that was for when Ruby was ready to leave. As to be expected, she ignored the critique put in her way, and her reaction to Miror's last statement showed just how little she cared about others' opinions, as she let out a mocking laugh "right? don't make me laugh" "Having a right to do something implies I need a permission, I don't." "I did this because I wanted to, and because the cowards I originally was after got away." "Not my fault you were too weak to stop me." any kind of rules, was it moral or otherwise, didn't matter if there wasn't someone strong enough to uphold them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "In that case we continue this conversation then." Ember stated, it was pointless to talk about payment and such until she knew what she would need to do "But do remember, gems are the most expensive way of payment as I have stated before, but it is of course up to you, all I care about is that it has direct worth to me."
  15. @Starforce Glimmer "Thanks Celestia for that, we ponies are herbivores, and based on you being able to use magic, you are physically a full pony." Frail responded "There is access to foods with fat since carnivores deserve to eat too, but you most likely wouldn't survive long by eating only that, you would also most likely get sick quite fast." "And I say this now, no meat or any other animal based food in this house, the smell alone makes me sick and it's pain to get rid of it once it sticks to something." outside the house Sparkly would be allowed to eat whatever she wanted "Salt you can have if you like that taste, I don't have it currently since I don't bake, but I can get some when I visit the shop." "There is also all kind of spices and herbs that give foods more taste, but you would need to figure out yourself how much of what suits you, I don't really use them since I rarely eat anything that needs preparation." "Bakeries are a good choice too, if your stomach can handle it that is, there's plenty of pastries and cakes and such that give you everything you need to live relatively healthy, but since there's also lot of things like sugar in them, some ponies get bellyache from eating them."
  16. @Illiad Easle Ædriga didn't take any salad, not seeing any reason to do so, plants were plants no matter how you mixed them up. The whole eating together thing in general was bit awkward for her, sure she didn't know much about social norms so she didn't worry about something like table manners, but she did acknowledge that she probably should at least try to mimic the others to not be too different, so she didn't really know how she should approach eating, cutting her food like the others was of course to obvious route, but it was more complicated when the only way to do it risked cutting the plate in half too. She ended up waiting until the others had eaten most of their fish, after which she simply grabbed her piece, took it from her plate and ate it whole. She would be the last one to take a muffin. The first question was the hardest to answer for her, counting time hadn't really had any use in her life before, so she hadn't paid attention to how long exactly she had been here, this would be clear from her tone and from the ways she looked at Ætheron after her answer, asking wordlessly him to correct or add to her answer "Many days, ten and more?" The rest were easy enough "Yes" was the answer to the second question, she didn't even need to think about it much "From far, lot sea from there here." was answer to the third one, she pointed towards north when she said it. Her answer to the last question may have been bit too direct considering who was asking, but that only showed her lack of understanding on social expectations if that was the case "I hurt lot there, if I no leave, I dead."
  17. @Lucid_Nightlight "There's a fine line between bravery and desperation, even the weakest, most pathetic creatures can put up a fight when they get desperate enough." Ruby said as she removed the leftovers of those who had been on top of her, her voice was slightly different to the usual due to the burns in her mouth, it was small enough change that most wouldn't be able to tell, but Quasi, someone who had been listening her speak for quite a while now would possibly spot the change if he paid attention to such. "Though I don't know if I would call that a fight, I didn't even really fight, I just exhaled bit harder than usual." She started then going through any buildings, piles of rubble...anything where someone could be hiding in that was around, prioritizing any spot she could feel the metal and or diamonds of a weapon or armor, if she would find someone, she would grab them and hold them as she looked for more survivors, and if she found someone else, the one she found before would be killed. The same fate would also follow if said individual put too much of a fight. She would do this until she was certain there was only one, or no survivors. If Quasi was to look for Ruby's emotions, he would find that she was colder than ever, everything she did was calculated, it didn't matter how one tried to twist it, this was an act of pure evil, but Ruby took no pleasure from what had been done, nor did she regret it, she just....acknowledged it, she was satisfied. ------- Ember stayed quiet until Sky spoke to her outside, she looked as calm as ever, but her mind was running as she thought about various things. "First, my condolences, and I mean it, ideological differences don't make his death any less tragic." she broke her professionalism for a the moment it took to say that, sympathy was clear from her voice. But as it was time to talk business, she went back to the usual "Dangerous criminal is dangerous criminal, the semantics don't matter, the price depends on the amount of work, which includes everything from getting intel to the deed itself. The price goes down if you have information ready, if it's somewhere on route to another job, among other things that make my job easier." "I need to hear bit more details to say any numbers, but as you may remember, I only accept things with direct value in Equestria as payment."
  18. @Starforce Glimmer "You just open you mouth and close it, I'll put whatever you take into a bowl so that you don't need to use your hooves or magic." Frail stated, this time Sparkly would have to get by herself, both because Frail would be eating herself, thus being busy with that, and because as she saw it, Sparkly really didn't need help with that for the reason she had stated. She was kind and helpful yes, but she wasn't personal servant level of kind and helpful. Frail 'dropped off' Sparkly at the table, and after taking out the foods, she also took out a sizable glass bowl, in there she put bit of everything, until Sparkly asked for specific things to not be put there, and then put it in front of Sparkly, she held onto the bowl with her magic, but other than that Sparkly would need to do the eating herself. She then took the loose hay and vegetables and made a mix of them for herself, eating it using her magic, she didn't see a reason to use any cutlery for something like this.
  19. "We'll see." Jenna said with a smile, though it was more a smile telling of her affection towards Oliver rather than smile of happiness "There was an old arcade machine in the training facility, it was fun enough to play now and then, but it got boring after a while, one can play the same game again and again only for so long, especially when the leaderboards are full of your own name." she wasn't particularly good at the game necessarily, she just was the only player, and it being the only game to play, the constant repetition was bound to cause her to get better and better.
  20. "Maybe getting directly involved could cause problems? If we are going with the assumption that they knew the future, if all the movies and other media is to believe, getting involved directly could change that future." Jenna suggested, though her tone told that she didn't necessarily believe this to be the truth for sure, it was just a theory at this point." "And what comes to us being the only ones, that's what I have been trying to say." the gunshots stopped "At this point it's clear nobody else is coming to help, we are the help."
  21. @Blitz Boom Ruby didn't do or say much, she exhaled a bit at Marley's comment, having expected him to say something, but that was pretty much it, she was well aware of the certain chemistry between him and herself, but she didn't necessarily mind it, it was refreshing. She didn't think much about Marley's ability to pull the wagon, as she had never really questioned it, she knew that putting wheels under things made them easier to move, and she kinda just assumed that most creatures were stronger than ponies, it may be she was wrong, but due to the difference between her real form and her pony form, her view of pony-strength was bit skewed, leading her to overestimate other creatures. The wagon being magically made lighter wasn't something she considered, but it was one of those things that if she would be told it was, she'd wonder how she didn't realize it considering how obvious of an idea it was. Ruby noticed the stallion and could tell he was coming towards them, but she wasn't worried, as she could smell the substance abuse from mile away, and thus knew that he would be easily dealt with, though it obviously never came to that since a guard got involved before that. She took enjoyment out of the guards' displeasure as she watched them check the pile of hides, and since she had nothing else to do, she focused her senses on the wagon to check if there was something else in there she could sense but may go unnoticed by the guards, she wasn't planning to help anyone of course, but she was curious, there had to be a reason why they had chosen a side entrance, and she doubted it was due to care for the feelings of ponies, griffons weren't exactly known for that. Charir meanwhile just followed the others and looked around, he turned up his nose a bit from the bad smelling stallion, but other than that he seemed to be fine. When they stopped to wait to get through the gate, he got on the roof of the wagon Marley was pulling and started looking around, his glance ultimately sticking to the stack of hides and the creature pulling it, and as was the norm, he tilted his head. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Scarecrow didn't fully agree with what had been said, but he didn't really have time to say anything about it, not that he necessarily would have even if he had time, since he realized it was a question of perspective, he only saw those ponies who didn't make it safely in and out, while these ponies most likely only knew of those who did, since those who he helped tended to be so shook up that they most likely didn't share their experiences with many, and those he couldn't help quick enough....well, they wouldn't be telling much anything to anyone anymore. "It was nice to meet you too." was really the only thing he said during the whole thing, as there wasn't really much for him to comment on, and if he was offered a hoof, he would shake it too, he had seen it done many times and knew the gist of it, though he was careful to not be too rough. He spoke to Lyriel when he believed the ponies wouldn't hear him "What I would give to feel such joy as a foal with a bunny." "It's weird, knowing that you should feel happy for something but not feeling it, though I guess the positive is that my mind is still capable recognizing it." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sheska smiled as she listened the short story, she may have been battle-hardened and such but she still enjoyed a good love story, and while there was many reasons for it, she couldn't deny part of it was due to her own desire to have a happy relationship of her own, something that she unfortunately had long ago accepted as something beyond her reach, a dream that would never come true. Trox's expression was more neutral, it was clear he was listening too, but for him it was more out of curiosity, he was of course happy for them, but he wasn't really one for the whole relationship thing, the only company he needed was a box of scrap and some tools. They didn't really have time to say anything before Pop went into the back room, but they did comment on Onache's comment "You don't like it, I can tell." one didn't need to read minds to figure some things out "I guess not everything is better here, I don't remember there being any stigma back home." They would try the candies one at a time, and they would keep all of them in their mouths for a moment before swallowing them, and they would describe shortly their opinions on them, the options being, good, aright, and 'not for me'. In general, the types of candies they liked were the ones that melted and or released their taste when they were kept in one's mouth, for example, hard candies and chocolate based ones, while candies like gummies that would need to be chewed to get the whole experience were on the other end. In between were those that were soft enough to be crushed with one's tongue and those covered in powder or something else that 'melted' in mouth. There was differences between the two siblings though, Trox liked more the ones with strong and or weird tastes that may in general be the more unpopular ones like for example salty licorice (aka salmiac) and preferred hard candy over chocolate, while Sheska was the opposite, preferring the sweet tasting things and chocolate. Things that tasted like fruits, berries, meat, blood or other such 'normal' things were liked by both, though they would state that they found them bit pointless as candy for them since they believed candy should be something that you would only get as a candy.
  22. @Illiad Easle Ædriga didn't say anything to Dinky's observation as she didn't really understand what she said, an before she could inform her about it, the arriving food took her focus away from that. she didn't really find most of it especially appealing, muffins were good enough but they weren't really food, salad was just plants mixed together, and the fish, it was her least favorite meat cooked with plants. She didn't show it though, seeming mostly curious about the things that had been served, and in the end there wasn't really anything she wouldn't eat if she had to, and she wasn't the type to refuse easy food, she hadn't yet gotten used to having a choice after all. Ætheron's comment was bit surprising to her, mostly because she hadn't even though that she would need to try everything in any context, she wasn't exactly taught for good dining manners, sure she understood that it would be rude to not take anything or to cause a mess or something like that, but the idea of doing something you wouldn't normally do, like carnivore eating plants, just to please others was unfamiliar idea. If someone didn't end up helping Ædriga, she would do her best to serve herself about the same amount of fish as Ætheron took if he took it, if he didn't, she would take about one fourth of the whole, and how well it went depended on how it was served. If it was in existing pieces of any size, she would have no trouble just picking up what she wanted, but if it was just in a big whole that one had to cut a piece out of it if they didn't want to empty the whole tray at once, then it would be more challenging for her.
  23. @Monotonality "My bad, my customer service voice just kinda slips in occasionally" Frail apologized with slightly awkward smile, it was less a front and more a habit. She was ready to act in case it looked like Sparkly needed help with staying up, she didn't make it obvious because she didn't want to seem like she didn't believe in Sparkly's ability to do it, but the poor alicorn had fallen over enough times now that Frail started to feel bad about not even trying to stop it. "Want help walking?" Frail again asked before anything, but regardless of how they would be moving to the kitchen she continued "Don't expect anything grand, I have only leftovers left and none of them are pizza or chips." those were things in Equestria too, they were just fully plant based, until of course you went somewhere where they served for carnivores too, though that was where Frail would draw the line, there would be no meat in her house, the smell alone made her feel ill. In the kitchen Frail would take out the choices, there was things from basic hay and vegetables, to a salad with berries, and enough ingredients to make few very vegan sandwiches,
  24. @Lucid_Nightlight Just informing you regarding change in character's lore, Ember now has a older sister, she doesn't know about said sister, as they had different adoptive parents, but she does now exist. Does that effect the RP? probably not, but felt like it would be good for you to know in case something happens or there's an idea that could use a character like that.
  25. @Lucid_Nightlight The add-on of diamond was a step to right direction, though it was not enough, because while it was hard enough to go through, you also needed force to do more damage than small scratch-level cuts on the surface level of the scales, and a coyote simply didn't have enough physical strength to do that. Same was true for the horn, since the horn being hard enough to go through the scales, cutting it was even harder than getting through the scales, this is why they tended to rip off or snap the horns of other dragons rather than trying to cut them off with their claws. Ruby just grinned as she was getting covered by her enemies, saying out loud in her native language what roughly translated to 'flammable idiots.' before unleashing a sea of fire that covered her and the surrounding area in flames, this was different from the fire she had used to this point, as it wasn't especially sticky, just normal fire when it came to that, but it was incredibly hot, in fact, it was so hot that any metal in it would in matter of seconds become too hot to touch, meaning that anyone inside metal armor would become a roast in few quite painful moments, and any weapons would be too hot to use without protection, and even that protection would eventually fail. She would continue spewing out this fire until nobody was left, it getting hotter and hotter each moment, so even those who may have survived the first seconds due to magical protections, would at least need to flee eventually as their weapons would get glowing hot and eventually melt. Not that fleeing would help, as Ruby would simply pick up and crush or rip apart those who survived the fire. This didn't come without a cost for Ruby either though, as her fire got so hot that her mouth's heat-resistance wasn't enough and she burned her mouth, ultimately it didn't do anything more to her than make her suffer from annoying pain for few days to come, but it was still an injury. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Ember stayed quiet as she had been this whole time, she was really hard to read when she was like this, but she would give a respectful nod to Ace if he looked at her before entering, she may have not liked soldiers, but she did acknowledge it when they did a good thing. She did wonder why they hadn't prepared with some kind of protection if they knew enough to know what was going to happen, but having the ability to 'read the room' so to speak, she kept these thoughts to herself. She didn't say anything both out of respect and to see what would happen now, because even with the emotional weight of the situation, she was still wary of Sky due to his instability before.
