  1. @Illiad Easle Ædriga just nodded, falling in thought regarding the topic, while she wanted to learn from those like Ditzy, she also wondered about the things that she wouldn't be able to teach her, especially if she was to assume that she would be taking care of her own offspring, or at least a dragon, since while she didn't doubt the ponies knew how to take care of their own, they were prey animals and lived in herds, while she was a predator from more solitary species, and that was ignoring the difference in the offspring itself, her kind at least, when they hatched, they were already rather independent, the mother's main job being to teach them to hunt and fight, among other thing relating to their survival in the real world, while for ponies the offspring was helpless for lot longer. She had kinda forgotten the whole Zebra thing as they have been going, but she did remember that something had been promised to the weird living dead pony, mostly because she could smell its scent now and then as it wandered through the forest, sometimes stopping near them at nights, but rarely still there when they woke up. She kinda felt bad for the thing, it didn't seem like he ever rested, and his smell was always alone, even a solitary creature like Ædriga realized how lonely that must be.
  2. "Yeah, seems to be standing on a roof." Jenna said still looking through the binoculars "Can't see any obvious sign of injury, so they are probably fine." on the naked eye one could see the person's shape, but binoculars were needed for any real detail "They turned around." the person moved to another roof, floating there in similar manner they had floated down from the wall, they then moved their arms to the sides, before moving them together in front of them at fast speed, as they did it, the building they had been on top of previously, along with a building on the other side of the street, were ripped apart and collapsed towards each other, crushing bunch of the hoard. "So that's what they can do." It didn't slow down the things for long though, as they simply climbed over the rubble.
  3. "Depends who you ask." Jenna said, taking one and proceeding towards the checkout "For me, yes, it's pretty cheap, for some, the quality stuff can be more than half of their monthly income." sure there was always the cheaper options, but they were also lower quality "My point being, there is cheaper jackets than the leather ones." she wasn't trying to argue, this was just her input regarding the topic. She paid for the jacket and started wearing it right away.
  4. @Illiad Easle Ædriga thought for a moment, not really sure how or what to reply, and ultimately she didn't find the right words for the first question, because while it was true her want to be a mother was partly to be better than her mother, it was also because she craved for something, a craving she couldn't put into words but she knew was related to that. "Can learn how mother?" it hadn't crossed her mind it was a skill to learn, but then again, her experience on mothers was quite limited "Ditzy good mother?" she was thoughtful for a moment again "Yes, I need learn how family here." she realized that while she was lot better than her mother now, her experience in life still had an effect on her, and she knew there was a risk that she would end up being like her mother because that's the only way she knows.
  5. @Blitz Boom Charir curiously listened as he was surrounded by new sounds, the train spooked him a bit but other than that he was mostly just curious about everything, it was good he didn't share his sister's extra sense, as he would most likely have been overwhelmed the whole time if he did. The amount of weird smells was also slightly overwhelming, but seeing the lack of reaction from the two older dragons made it bit easier to ignore. This was true for all the dragons too, even those who seemed to follow them for short moments, if Charir would have been alone, he would most likely have lost it, running away and hiding somewhere, but the same thing that caused him feel wary with Ruby, kept him calm now, because while their kind may not treat their kids well, they were quite protective of them, not because they cared necessarily, but because of their pride, who wanted to be so weak they let their young offspring get harmed? It also helped that Leviathan was very obviously protective of him, Charir may not understand the concept of caring fully, but he could tell he was being cared about. Ruby ignored everything going around, or well, at least she seemingly did, in truth she was paying attention to everything going on around them, she just used everything but her vision to do so, the difference to Charir was that she had no risk of getting overwhelmed, partly because her experience with living among ponies as a seemingly easy target had told her what could be ignored as normal pony nonsense, and partly because her general experience in life had involved lot of risk assessing. The guard would have the same treatment as everything else, Ruby just seemingly ignored him, and from Charir he only got a curious look before the young dragon looked away again. While the rich neighborhood was bit distracting with the amount of treasure added to everything else shiny in a average pony city, she had learned to ignore it relatively well, after all, it was a sense among the others, and like you could ignore a bad smell after a while, she could ignore the treasure she knew she could get to. She actually found it bit amusing any time she ended up in places like this, the rich ponies most likely have spend lot of effort and money to hide their treasures in their mansions, and here was she, a dragon who could tell exactly where they were, if there was a metal vault or other such thing protecting it, and exactly how much they had in there, she would enjoy scaring the nobles with that information, but she didn't want to deal with guards. Ruby returned the condescending look towards the ponies, after all, she was also technically speaking a rich pony, and she knew how to act like one. "Ah, the rich snobs of Canterlot, their self-importance rivals that of the worst of dragons', yet they are pathetic even for a pony." "And very disloyal, I have had harder time seducing a lone drunk than one of them, in some cases I got both of them, I could probably cause a huge scandal from just what I did personally if I cared for such." they never even asked for her name. If the gate was open Ruby would make her way to the door, and if not, she would do whatever seemed to be the way to get someone's attention to open said gate. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The park sound like the best option." Scarecrow said after a second of thinking "The market sounds bit too populated for now and our appearances fit better to a park." and for wandering, while it was most preferred to him as it was likely the option with least creatures, he knew that totally avoiding crowds would only hinder him from learning, besides, more creatures there was around, less attention one specific creature got "I also believe the market has bigger likelihood to have unpleasant creatures who may cause problems, as it is a busy area and hurry seems to make creatures act unpleasant." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Onache...persuaded the doctor to change the question, Trox moved his tail nonchalantly, it didn't look like anything but it actually had a purpose, he purposely moved it in a way that the metal part at tip of his tail was clearly visible to the doctor, he knew that the doctor would start wondering about Sheska's injury eventually again, and hoped that seeing the part would give him enough information to infer what the cause may be, because as much as he appreciated Onache's efforts to protect his sister from painful memory, he was worried about the effect of constant mind altering for the poor pony who was just doing his job. "Something that doesn't hinder normal actions and is easy to maintain, other than that it doesn't really matter what it's like." Sheska answered regarding the covering, she wasn't picky, she also didn't object to the doctor's closer examination, in fact, she was bit surprised he actually asked rather than just telling her what to do, the doctors where they came from usually just did what they needed to and you could complain later, not that anyone actually read those complaints. Sheska looked at the temporary tail-tip for a second before simply stating "Sure" as she positioned her tail so that it could be attached "It will do the trick as you said, and I have never had something so colorful before, it's pretty." it wasn't like colors didn't exist for them, of course they did, but in the Night-Realm everything was shades of blue and grey, and even if you found something that was more colorful, it was so dark everywhere that you never got to see the colors in their full beauty. Sheska was also a hoarder, it had to be pretty ugly for her to say no to having something.
  6. @Lucid_Nightlight I know Ruby's part is bit...forceful and possibly a bit passive aggressive, but this is something that has to happen now, Ruby as a character is very close to a boiling point, this war, into which she was half-forced to join, has had lot more negatives to her than positives, from Arrow's unbeatable magic and the conveniently equipped enemies, to the constant mind intrusion and literal mind control, even the most prideful creature would have trouble answering the question "why bother?". At this point if even this doesn't succeed because of everything being just convenient enough to go directly against her, she'll just quit and leave everything, including Quasi, behind, and probably end up dead. It doesn't need to be Mira, it was you who got her involved, but Ruby needs to start to be able to succeed at things if you want her to Stay in the RP, because both for the character and for me as the player, the constant failure and everything being just right to counter her is getting tiring. I can understand why nobody agrees with her, she's an a-hole and a monster, but that doesn't mean she should always be the one in the wrong. I'm not saying that Gladia shouldn't treat Ruby badly, she's clearly a evil leader so i'd actually expect her to do something to Ruby as sort of punishment or something, I'm also not saying Quasi shouldn't challenge her, no, this is entirely a 'meta' problem, in the same way as Ruby shouldn't be reminded every second post how she's part of a plan, she should have change to actually succeed at something, as an example, the current situation: In this you are partly controlling my character, you are assuming that Ruby wouldn't just push Quasi aside and charge Mira who is close enough to hear what Quasi says and respond, I looked past this because I didn't realize it right away myself. then, 3 spoken sentences later, you are implying that a whole army has moved fast enough away that there's no longer point to even try to catch them? It takes about 20 seconds to say that dialogue, so you are saying that in 20 seconds, this whole army has gone so far that Ruby who have also been sated to be quite quick for her size couldn't go after them? in reality, until they are comparable to full speed fighter-jets somehow, they wouldn't even be out of sight in 20 seconds. I'm also letting quite a lot slide, for example, if Ruby was truly in character, Quasi wouldn't have gotten past "you don't need to fight" before Ruby would have already pushed him out of the way. My problem is not with Quasi's actions, as I believe this is something he would do, my problem is how it happens. I want to see this RP to the end because I'm enjoying it most of the time, but I have to bring up these things because it damages that enjoyment.
  7. @Lucid_Nightlight Until Quasi followed Ruby, his words would go unheard, as Ruby would go after the escaping troops, it didn't matter if they were faster than her, she was a hunter, and a good one of that, when she gets a scent from you, it doesn't matter how far you run, she will find you. Those left to cover wouldn't last long in Ruby's way, especially now that she knew they purposely avoided killing her, she wasn't known for being fair after all. If Quasi did follow her, the response would be "I was told to kill, and that's what I came to do, I was not told to worry about the fort itself, nor was I told to care about safety of Fironians I wasn't told were coming." "I know they are planning something, and I have no doubt in my mind that you're working to help them, they invaded my mind, so I find it likely you welcomed them into your dreams." "I have said it many times that I don't care about this war, I have no personal stakes in it, I have my own goals, and I don't appreciate you coming in my way." "Besides, I specifically told the troops to stay back while I attack, meaning that even if it was a trap I was expected to care about, the only dragon I risked was myself, assuming my orders were followed." She wasn't going to stop until she got what she wanted, she didn't care if Mira got away, she didn't even care about her army, she just wanted to kill enough that she herself was satisfied, soldiers, civilians, she couldn't care less at this point, she was here to send a message, and she would finish her goal even if she had to fly all the way to Equestrian city to do it, even Gladia wouldn't be able to do anything about it, because even if she used magic to forcibly return Ruby back to her, she would find that Ruby wouldn't take any more orders before she got her promised blood, no matter the threats or torture that may be inflicted on her, because while many things could be said about Ruby, one thing was certain as had been shown as early as in the fight with Arrow, she was stubborn enough to cause her own death. Her target would be whatever happened to be the first place with lot of individuals she knew for sure to be working on the side of ponies, it didn't matter what species they were, it didn't matter if they were military or civilians, only thing that mattered was that there was a lot of them, and that they were allied with ponies. ------------------------------------------------ "I really don't care." Ember said dismissively "I merely expressed what I believe to be the motivation behind Fironia's attacks on civilians as a response to a question." "I did not express my opinion on if I think it's a working strategy or not, and thus don't want a speech about how great your land is." it didn't matter how Sky meant it, it still sounded like bragging.
  8. New drawing and character

    Spoiler

She's Equestrian dragon so I made her with outlines to make her look bit closer to the show's style.

  9. "It's not like any government ever has cared about the feelings of people." Jenna said as she took the normal binoculars and checked if she could see what was going on, it was hard due to the darkness but her eyes had gotten used to it at this point so she wasn't totally blind. The military's line continued getting pushed back and the flashes and sounds of gunfire started to get less intense as more and more soldiers went down or ran out of ammo, few helicopters flew in to help but that didn't do much. The mystery person would make new appearance after some minutes, as in the distance they would be standing on one of the roofs looking down on the losing battle, there was about 5 buildings worth of distance between the wall and the hoard of whatevers, so it was only matter of moments until they would reach the wall.
  10. "In some situations sure." Jenna agreed as they reached the store "If only they were bulletproof." she refused the help from a staff member, politely saying she knows what she's looking for, then making her way to where the jackets were, where she then started looking through them to find a fitting option "These are also easy to clean up in case I....accidentally pour something on myself." she almost said 'get blood on it' but reworded it since it could have sounded bit concerning to outsiders that may or may not be around somewhere close enough to hear.
  11. @Illiad Easle Ædriga shrugged "I no feel lot, I no know other way." "I no want sibling or father then, I no know what mean, I only know I and mother, all other dragons only dragons." While she never enjoyed her life at the homelands, she also never though about it being related to family in any way, since she didn't know what family was back then, having only her mother like most if not all dragons there. It was hard to want something you didn't know anything about.
  12. @Lucid_Nightlight The ballistas were too slow, and Ruby took them down while they were being reloaded. She shouted to the nearest of the dragons that had sent to help...or keep an eye on her "Make sure nobody leaves!" before facing Quasi "I don't care about the fort, I came here to kill, I also still need the head of the general." there was no warmth in her words, or anything else really, besides the literal fire and smoke of course "And if you come in my way, I'll rip off the rest of your legs, and Fironians most likely will execute you." "I may not enjoy seeing you die, but you are mistaken to think I'll sabotage my own goals for your sake." she was colder than ever, eyes burning in bloodlust and rage. She would then go after the retreating forces, either past Quasi, or through him, depending on his actions, and while she wouldn't kill him, she would injure him until he decided not to, or couldn't bother her anymore, and the fight wouldn't be anything like the first time Quasi attacked Ruby, Ruby didn't hold back this time, and would make true of her threat if that was necessary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "They do it because they know our side feels bad about it, it's psychological warfare, they may also be trying to turn the civilians against their nations." Ember commented "Especially for someone like US or whatever you call it, the war is pointless from point of view of the uninformed civilians, and seeing innocents getting attacked makes the question why are you even involved, this leads to anger which eventually shows up as protests or worse." "And either this is a trap or the Fironians are awful at keeping spies out."
  13. "There's something comfy about wearing other creature's skin as clothing." Jenna stated, waiting for Oliver's reacting before chuckling and putting her hand over his shoulders and leaning on him "Just kidding, I just like them, they are durable and don't stick out from the crowd." "And while you were joking, it's also partly for the reason you said, it works as repellent of sorts for certain type of humans when you look like you can defend yourself."
  14. "Isn't anymore, the military is blocking phone and internet connections as you may remember." Jenna pointed out "And yes I do, I find it hard to believe that the government wouldn't know about the existence of people with powers, and even harder to believe they wouldn't exploit it." "If there's any significant amount of us with powers, there's certainly a military program making some of us into super soldiers."
  15. @Blitz Boom Ruby nodded to the guards instructions, showing appreciation for the help, and while the help was actually useful, the appreciation was just an act, she was actually slightly annoyed by the guard's chipperness. The salute and welcome also got just a generic friendly gesture as a response, and when they were far enough, Ruby's act dropped and she was back to her cold self "They don't want to take the risk, they are easily flammable." "And yes, I know where it is, not that it's easy to miss, it's unnecessarily big." she didn't understand the want for a big house, especially since she was used to living in caves barely bigger than herself. "It's [insert direction] from here, though I think using the routes the guard mentioned as far as possible is a reasonable idea, so we'll taking a bit longer route." less curious ponies there was ask about Charir, easier it was to get there. She would start heading towards the house, following the more quiet side roads as far as she could. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scarecrow made a mental note to try to remember to come here before a week passed, harder thing to someone like him to do than one would think, since he couldn't tell the difference between a day and a month. "There is really only one way to practice, being around ponies, I need to know how living talk to each other and act around each other." "Even learning to move my face requires me to see what kind of expressions are expected in what situations." "I also need to get used to ponies as much as I need to get used to this look" the goal was ultimately to become as unnoticeable as possible, to be ignored like anyone else would be ignored, but that was hard if he was always ready to flee when around ponies, it would also be easier to act like a living creature if he could relax. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neither of the siblings said it out loud, but both of them wanted to point out that they weren't exactly the kind of individuals who's first things after getting away from oppressive ruler, would be purposely seek out another ruler, it didn't matter how good the rulers here was based on everyone's words, they didn't like authorities, and would need to see the hoofwork of these rulers before they were trustful enough to seek them out. "No questions or concerns, thank you." Trox stated, stretching his body and moving his cybernetics around a bit while doing a diagnostics check on them to see they were working correctly, this check wasn't visible outside in any way, it just looked like he was testing their movement. Sheska also warmed up her muscles a bit to ready them for moving after staying put so long, though unlike her brother, she had a question "I have a one question, do you have any kind of prostheses for my tail or do I just keep wrapping it with bandages?" she was referring to the fact that the bone in her tail was sticking out at the tip due to part of her tail missing, it wasn't in pain or otherwise in risk of further damage since it had healed, but bones didn't belong outside the body, and it looked unpleasant. Ultimately it didn't matter since Trox could build one if need was, but she figured it didn't hurt to ask. After that there would be no more questions.
  16. @Illiad Easle They had touched the topic earlier when Ædriga had been learning the words relating to family, but she didn't really blame Ætheron from asking it, since her communication skills were worse then and she couldn't be sure if she was understood every time even now. She shook her head "No, no sister, no brother, no father, only mother." "We no siblings, only one from mother, all times." that was the one weakness of her species, growing the population was very slow, as the process of getting offspring was slow and there was always only one egg at a time. "One dragon smell like mother, but dragon dead now, I need hurt dragon or I dead."
  17. @Blitz Boom Ruby didn't continue on the topic since they were starting to near other creatures, but she didn't fully agree with Leviathan, mostly because she knew her mother, and because as much as she didn't like it, she was like her mother in many ways, the fact that she had never seen, heard of, or even smelled who her father was also didn't help to make it more possible, since one would think that if there was any feelings between her parents, certainly the father would have wanted, and been let to see his own offspring. It also still didn't answer one question, how did they meet in the first place, the Homelands weren't a place where you just stumbled upon someone, so why would several powerful dragons meet the same dragon? Until of course she and Charir did have the same father, though that would only bring up even more questions considering their differences. Ruby made a mental not to think about this at some point when she got the chance to be in peace. She put up a friendly act as they got closer to the entrance, quite the convincing one too, it turns out she could be friendly if she just decided to. "Business and meeting with a friend." she stated, her tone best described as professional friendliness, Charir was bit put off by the sudden friendliness, even with him being able to tell it was an act. "And as I expect that the question is coming, we use this entrance because I'm babysitting someone who is better off if we avoid crowds as much as possible." Charir looked up at the guard with curiosity and wariness visible in his eyes, and if any of the guards tried to touch him, or really even came close, they would get a growl and small cloud of hot smoke, not hot enough to burn, but hot enough to be unpleasant, and Ruby would say something along the lines of him not liking strangers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I cannot feel pain." Scarecrow stated "Only real negative thing for me personally was annoyance, and even that will fade away as my memories of the event blur." in his opinion Lyriel got the worse side of the coin in that game, but he couldn't speak for her "And the letter will work, though not necessary necessarily, as long as I know where to go, I can speak for myself." assuming of course he didn't lose his mind before that, but not only was that unlikely at this point, he most likely would care to go anymore in the first place if he did. For the deity thing he just shrugged, he didn't believe it to be the case, but he couldn't really disprove it either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Onache's evaluation didn't shock the siblings as much as one may think, and would only get a dismissive shrug as a reaction, in fact, they understood where she was coming from, they may not have been certain of what kind of feeding she was talking about, but they understood how they could be unfit to that, both for their own and the feeder's safety in mind, especially considering that they were a unknown species for most in this place. "I don't think we need to make ourselves known, the guard knowing to come here tells that the word has spread already, and even if it hasn't, it's safe to assume that he has informed the princess of our presence." that was also ignoring that it had been stated that Solar has been told to keep an eye on them, implying that someone in power knows already, and while they didn't trust him, one thing they knew was true, he was serving whoever was the ruler, because they knew he wouldn't know how to live without being a servant. "I think that after we are given a word from the doctor that we can leave, assuming we don't get picked up by guards or someone else, we need to just look around and see where we are." "If the guard is telling the truth, we're probably stuck here, so we need to get used to things, not that it's necessarily a bad thing." "So I guess the plan is to go outside and see what happens." it was hard to plan anything with the little information they had. And they wanted doctor's word because as distrusting as they were, even in their world doctors generally were honest individuals, that and they could tell excuse from a real reason, so they would know if a doctor was trying to keep them there for no reason.
  18. "I found what I was looking for, didn't really pay attention to anything else." Jenna replied pointing at it "A place that sells leather jackets." "I'll buy myself a jacket and we can then see if there's anything else interesting, but there's no hurry, so feel free to look yourself what's around.". If he looked, he would find that it was what one would expect from a mall.
  19. "Good luck going around the planet trying to gather everyone in time, many of which don't speak English most likely." Jenna pointed out "Ultimately it doesn't matter how many there exists, because there's only us three here...where ever that one went, and we know only handful of individual with powers to exist for sure." "Even if there was millions like us, if only ten shows up, those millions don't matter." "Though it is surprising that the military doesn't have some kind of superhuman unit sent out."
  20. @Illiad Easle "I understand." Ædriga stated, she knew what predators and prey were as a concept, she just hadn't learned the words for them until now, though to her it may have been less scientific definition than for Ætheron and the ponies, though the idea was the same. In her eyes, there was three types of creatures, those like her kind who were on the top, the predator species without any creatures considering them as prey, those who were on the bottom, prey, herbivores, and lastly the one that Ætheron belonged to, a predatory creature. Difference between predator and predatory being that while the latter was a predator from point of view of its prey, they were also prey, a manticore also fit the latter. "You no like food smell like fur, predator eat prey, and predator no like fur fire." she had known the last things before, but she said it to make it known she understood.
  21. "You could have just asked to do so in the forest." Jenna said with a smile "Or just done it, I don't mind." it was in a way related to how modesty wasn't really a thing dragons were concerned about, they didn't see bodies like humans did, even if they acted like they did, thus asking permission to touch someone was bit weird concept to them, especially in their real form, sure there was certain things, but something like petting really wasn't one of them, especially in this case since even by human standards Oliver had already been let past lot bigger boundaries. "I'll keep that in mind next time." She walked to a info screen when they got inside, but she didn't do so to see all the choices that were in the mall, rather she was looking for few very specific one(s), leather-clothing shops to be exact, and would eventually spot one she recognized.
  22. "That's part of the reason why I think there can't be many of us." Jenna pointed out "We have lived our whole lives and not once before this have met others with powers." "Even with the most optimistic estimate based on what I managed to find during the years I looked into it, we are talking thousands of people with powers, it may sound a lot, but when you spread it around the whole planet, it's not much."
  23. @Lucid_Nightlight Ruby hadn't expected there to be anyone else, but well, even if she wasn't one to lead anyone, meat-shields could be useful "Spread out as wide as you can and be unpredictable, but don't attack directly yet." "You will draw the defenses' attention to yourselves, and further away from each other you are, more they have to split those defenses to deal with all of you. It's also harder to hit one lone dragon than a group of them, and as long as you avoid predictable moves, you will survive with no problem." it had been a great weakness in the Fironians' way of fighting she had noticed, their troops were always in a big pile instead of spreading out, making them a easy target for anything ranged. "I'll stay hidden for a moment after you have gotten their attention, and will use it in my advantage by going past the defenses while they are busy with you." she could have tried to fool them with her pony form, but since there was Equestrian troops, she figured they would know of her pony form, and she didn't have time or patience to disguise the disguise. "I'll then attack those defenses, and after that you are free to decide yourself if you can attack or if you should wait for moment longer." "And lastly, I don't know how it is usually done in your ranks, but since I have not been given instructions on that, it will be my way here. That being, if you flee or do something to hinder me, I better not see your face again, because I will kill you, got it?" she didn't really give any time to answer "Good, now go." she would take no questions or arguments, even showing true her threat if someone got too annoying Assuming her command would be followed, she would take off straight up staying out of the vision of the fort, and she would fly so high that biggest of the dragons looked like a insects from there, she then closed her wings and started to freefall, this alone would take some moments, meaning that at the point she would be visible the defenses would already have their full attention on the other dragons, not that it really mattered if she was noticed or not, because when she opened her wings again, she would fly towards the fort so low and at such speed that even a modern top-of-the-line fully automatic anti-air system wouldn't have time to lock on to her before it was too late. She quite literally crashed inside the fort with flames and smoke, and before the dust even had time to settle, she had already started her massacre, she wasn't playing anymore, and thus to add to her physical capabilities, she was also spewing sticky fire that stuck to almost everything and was very hard to extinguish, and even those protected from the flames would feel the increasing heat, because while it wasn't specially hot, it was still fire. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I have used that trick several times too, many creatures have the urge to catch whatever is going past their head." Ember stated, not nearly as impressed as Arrow seemed to be, she also blatantly ignored Sky's bragging about his nation, as to be expected, the chicken situation didn't exactly help "Sure I don't use grenades exactly, since we don't have that technology, but there's plenty of things with the same effect, in fact, they can do more." "Elemental explosions, pure magic of different kinds, poisons, acids, even some non-lethal ones like bright lights, mind affecting ones, things that make you deaf, unable to move...." she looked at Luna "...And that's not even mentioning the stuff at the black market, you should probably try to crack down on that after this is over, there's some really messed up stuff there, I have been doing my best but I'm only one creature."
  24. @Illiad Easle There was some words Ædriga didn't understand by themselves, but most she could figure out from the context, though one she had to ask about after nodding to indicate she understood mostly what had been said "Predator? what mean?" she didn't really know 'taint' 'foul' and 'odor' either, but she understood that it was something that was not wanted to happen to the food, and with her knowing what burned fur smelled like, she had a slight idea that it may be talking about that.
  25. @Lucid_Nightlight Ruby picked up the one she had just killed and took a good long sniff to separate the correct smell she could then use to spot others, she was going to ask what about non-changeling spies but then decided against it, she didn't really care. "As you wish." was the only thing she said as she turned to leave, she moved slow enough that if Gladia had something more to say, she could say it, but otherwise she didn't waste time. What came to Quasi, if he appeared to ask anything, she would only tell him that she had a job to do ant that he should stay here, assuming of course he didn't get orders of his own for some reason. She would then head north as instructed. ------------------------------------------------- As this was beyond Ember's abilities, she stayed back from the fight and just observed the situation. "Turns out technology beats a failed queen, though your highness takes surprisingly well the fact that you're looking at your own alter ego without a head." she commented after everything was over, sounding surprisingly unfazed "Though I guess this wasn't the real one anyway, there was a notable lack of evil laughter."
