    I'm mormon and I'm going to be leaving home to serve an lds mission in less than a month. Personally, I've found that as I've gone to church every week, read the scriptures, and prayed every day, I've felt the Holy Spirit giving me more insight into what the verses of scripture mean. After years of seeing God's hand in my life, I can testify that I know that Jesus Christ is my Saviour, I know The Book of Mormon is the true word of God, and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the full restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that God continues to give revelation to His prophets today. I'm not trying to shut you down ooBrony, I just thought I'd share my personal experience with the church.

    I got a bunch of medical stuff over with today. Getting seven vials of blood taken from you is not a fun experience, so I'm glad it's over.

    I've always wanted a convention in Calgary, Alberta, but to be honest, the brony community here practically died about the time I became a brony.

    I'm not sure what more I can add to this discussion. I've seen too many brony youtubers go through an inactive phase or leave the fandom entirely because of the bad experiences they've had with other bronies. I'm sure this happens out of the public eye as well. It's pretty painful for me to see people have seriously negative experiences with people over a show which is teaching nothing but friendship and harmony.

    I think Fluttershy's developed a lot since season 4, but before that, she didn't change all that much on the outside. I actually kind of like that though. I'm a pretty shy person myself and I've spent years trying to get better at socializing. Shyness can be so overbearing that it is usually the only main roadblock I think about when wanting to do anything that involves even the slightest amount of interaction with people. I think Fluttershy was learning from the lessons in the earlier seasons, it just took her a while to have the strength to actually start applying them in real situations. From what I can tell on tv, most character growth is shown through a variety of emotions and conflicts. Shyness often causes a lack of expression which makes the only apparent weakness the shyness itself. I relate with Fluttershy because I feel my own growth has been as slow as hers.

    I'm hoping for more CMC episodes. I wish there had been one or two more last season. But I'm also really excited to see what happens with Chrysalis! I've actually had thought's on what would happen if Principle Cinch's counterpart appeared in Season 7. Would she be a villain like Flim and Flam or would she be more like Spoiled Rich? Or maybe she'd be an all-out villain like Starlight. No matter how she appeared though, I'd probably both hate it and love it. (I'm more against it though, at least anything more than a cameo)

    I personally like the later seasons a bit more than the earlier one's, though Season 5 is my favourite so far. As for show quality, I most definitely see that the show has evolved over the years and I think that everyone has their own preferences on which phase of the evolution they liked best. I find the first few seasons had a feel to them that I don't see in the newer episodes and I think that's kind of sad, but I also see that if the show had never evolved, it would have completely stagnated long ago. I wouldn't like the show to be six season ones. I don't think the writing quality has changed tons, but I do think it has changed as the characters have developed and as the writers try to think of new ways to make the show interesting.

    I'm hoping Chrysalis isn't reformed and I actually don't think she will be. She has too much potential as a villain to be reformed and I think it's because of that potential that she has been brought back. Also, I don't think Chrysalis' reformation would be good for the Guardians of Harmony toy line!

    Wow! I wasn't expecting to see any replies to this topic after so long! One thing I've been able to do this year is volunteer to be part of a choir and do some Christmas performances. We've had weekly practices since September and then last Saturday we had a four hour long rehearsal! If our choir leader hadn't provided food, I'm not sure I would have lasted. lol It's been a fun choir, and people seem to enjoy hearing us sing!

    Say I wanted to start a meet-up group. How would I do it? Especially considering that the last meet-up group in my city disbanded about a year ago, before I ever had a chance to attend. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

    My first bit of merch was a Funko Twilight figure that my brother gave me for christmas in 2014. I loved it instantly, though since at the time I was still incredibly embarrassed about it, I kind of had a major freak out when I opened it in front of my family. The first pony I actually bought myself was a Big Mac Funko figure about a week after I got Twilight.

    I liked her is Season 5, but I like her even more now that she's had some more development! I'm actually excited to see her as a main character!

    Well, Starlight is a friend of Twilight and the others now, so maybe she's there just for that reason. It's true that Starlight doesn't know Shining Armor or Cadance, so maybe that's the reason why she isn't with the mane 6 when they meet Flurry Heart. From the episode synopsis, it sounds like it could be a double plot episode, where there are two main conflicts that somehow connect at the end. I think that would be really awesome!
