      Girls und panzer teach you that? its 50mm thick top armour, 20-40 was enough in most cases, I'd say the real problem is the shot trap into its engine bay ;3;

      Armour piercing bombs where a problem but the mouse isn't that much bigger than a tiger II so the problem is about the same if not less because of the greater thickness~

      One thing I would've hated in a Maus is how slow they were, air strikes, artillery and sneaky infantry could really do a number on you. I also believe the Maus was intended to be a sorta portable commanders observation post on the Battlefield, a way for them to be close and safe and give out orders as they see fit. And if the Tiger 2 was having engine problems, this thing surely had a lot of engine malfunctions.

      Engine problems? Not that I know of, only that at first it only reached 13 KM/h but with a better engine got to 20, and I have heard the maus referred to as a "Mobile replacement bunker" not so much a command post, there where command tanks though, they were known as "panzerbefehlswagen" instead of "panzerkampfwagen"
