Intetesting arguments Lunar. Tanks also are almost a symbol of power and strengh. 

I do like how after WWI, everybody was like, "Okay Germany. You have to pay for everything." And Germany went for broke printing real money worth less than monopoly money. Then when Germany got pissed off and invaded the neighbors and the neighbor's neighbors, everybody was like "HOLY SHIIIIIT!" Like, "Germany! What are you doing? Sure, we trashed your economy making you pay for a world war, but you can't just go starting another world war like that!" Not saying Germany was on the right side of history throughout the 30s and 40s, but man, the aftermath of WWI was handled with such little grace. 

I do wonder at times how Japan would've turned out if there never was a WWII. If there's no teaming up with Germany, would they have ever wanted to bomb Pearl Harbor? Would they have even fought? If there was no fighting, would there have ever been any need for the US to intervene so heavily in the Japanese government? Would Japan be making everything better than everybody else? 

Also, I wonder how Japan would've turned out had Matthew Perry and the gang never visited. Would Japan just be a time capsule? An isolated island filled with samurai and the shogunate that has more control the the emperor? 

Finally, I think it's funny that the League of Nations was President Wilson's baby and the United States never joined  

I'm a bit of a history nut XD Especially the American Civil War and the world wars. ^^

It was unnecessary punishment, mostly brought on by the French.
