 It's noticeable that the Mane Six are appearing altogether less and less in each episode (It Isn't the Mane Thing About You was a cute recent exception), and it's presumably because the writers think that their story arcs have been pretty much completed.  If so, that saddens me because a lot of shows run for many years with character development ever improving; thus the show appears to be coming to an end, as far as the Mane 6 are concerned.  What do you think?
