I see what you mean now, I believe that's one of the ongoing theories, and there's still speculation on what Rose means in her video. It's not yet known whether she meant half of steven as in through genetics (Like a kid is made up of half his mom and half his dad) or whether she actually means that she became a part of steven. Personally I'm for the latter...cause I think the freak out scene from pearl and greg that will ensue if Rose can project herself from steven's bel...

Good call, attempting to resolve whatever's with them is certainly worth a try, but stubborn refusal from them isn't worth devoting lots of energy and motivation to struggling to changing their minds, perhaps this is the best approach
