Oh I suppose they could keep us to experiment on biological modification of living things and to test chemicals involved in it. But they could do the same with other animals too, maybe jellyfish because invertebrates are complex. Or they could be grateful for us, and not want us to go for emotional sentimental reasons linked to conditioning. But that'd be detrimental. So, I guess, maybe they could, to prevent their destruction

They could try mining the earth and stuff, but we agree to have a peace treaty til we can find another planet, or we let them have the non-biological sustaining planets, and they can have the other planets, But then whats keeping them from breaking their word? Oh, right, plenty enough space in the universe for both of us, then they can also study us instead of waiting millions of years, yeah.
