  1. So I bought a honest to Celestia art sketchbook, and filled the first page with practice ink sketches and... it felt actually okay? For the longest time I was working on copy paper to cut costs but only now I realize that this approach was stalling me from doing anything, and for months. Practice is all about making a mess with quality stuff you will work with on finished pieces, after all...

Hmm, perhaps I could post my doodles, yeah. They're not THAT bad, heh.

Yeah, especially with the new grade starting this month. So you're still working in the same place, right? In that case the vacations must have been full of work days.

Hi! not bad, apparently. Haven't had much of vacation this year, spent the 2 week leave at home but, you know, I have some upcoming expenses I need to save up for. How about you though?

  4. Not sure if you're not me or vice versa. Everything (except of the degree, Warsaw location and birth date) is basically what one could tell about me.

Starting with country, going through proper literature, onto music and finishing on things like NieR: Automata and WH40k. Even the roleplaying approach.

World has means of surprising me I guess.

Heh, then I can only share my sympathies with you in that regard, for I find it quite difficult at times not to facepalm dramatically at the world around me. But I try to be positive.

Which reminds me, that my page probably requires a small touch up, since I gave up on Games Workshop after the new editions of WFB and 40k came out. And I dropped out halfway through NieR, couldn't bear to see 2B die...

  5. I'm thinking... Perhaps it's time to finally give the pony a rest. I was hoping to watch it till it ends but, there is no end in sight. And I just don't feel so interested in the show proper like I used to. Eh, we'll see, I suppose.

mh, because I cut down the rule of cool in favour of strictly sticking to what is feasible for a character who is basiically an average cirtizen. True, I made an action adventure character later on but she was still no Rambo. And I like it that way, gives them space to grow as they overcome obstacles with actual effort. Because for me, it's more about psychological aspects and character development than monster hunting or stuff like that.

Still, no harm if someone likes monster hunting, it's just how I roll.

I see. Well, as long as all the characters have roughly the same power level, or at least each has their strengths that are essential to the story, thing should be fine. Otherwise some characters will inevitbly ake over the story as they solve problems single handedly as the others watch and wait. That's why I was so into having all characters within believeable marking os power and influence when I ran rp's.

Totally OP by human standards, but then, it is hard to gauge the "power level" of a character without prior knowlendge of their setting. Played with other such entities she may be even UP at times.

Hmm... Not bad but also a bit OP. X Ray vision for instance is impossible, because the X Ray as we know it is basically a sheet on which gamma Ray's have hit as they passed through stuff. 360 joints would mean she doesn't move like humans, unless she was programmed to imitate human moves unless needed to do otherwise. Eating metal and self healing are ofc too science fantasy to begin with, unless she had a chamber to put stuff in and nanomachines slowly repaired her. But that would take forever.

Yeah, anthros are waaay more sensible as far as actually making the character interact with the enviroment is conerned. I often had to simplify my writing to blissfully omit how my character did something, since I didn't see a way they could with just hooves. Althogh ponifying other genres or franchises, or making up totally new alternate ponyverses seems to come so naturally with them...

Thing is, you ned to get into an ro group or find theright people on DC. Forums are up for grabs for any willing individual to answe the call. Lately I've been taking a peek at general purpose rp sites, but they didn't really catch my interest so far. I could branch out from pony stuff without juggling several sites and accounts. Butthat's the plan for the future, if and when I find a new rp hub for my needs.

I used to have a presence here. Mostly in Rp, then moved o requests, and lately I just log in and see an empty notification feed. Most of the cool people I met here already left without a word, and looking for new ones is always a chore for me. Hence my prolonged near inactivity. Perhaps a new RP would make a difference though, and I am working on the basic concept of it.

That's... a more direct way of putting it, yes. Personally, I blame the fandom for keeping me around for so long, By which I mean the tons of quality art primarily.

I've had this feeling with House M.D. once Season 7 rolled in. Like the show writers didn't know when to stop, and continued to pull off increasingly ridiculous story arcs until they poured gasoline over it all and tossed the lit match to really finish with a bang. I suppose season 3 of Hannibal was a bit like thattoo, but with a twist of "are you entertained?!" - shoving graphic images all over the place, as if asking the viewer whether they actually enjoy seeing that stuff.

MLP is more of the former case, in my opinion, with the added weight of Hasbro relying on it to sell toys and make lots of money. So, as long as the cash flows, they may not reboot the show at all, and continue spewing more episodes for the glory of the corporate overlords.

Yeah, when I've read the mid-season hiatus is over, I was like: "Already? Damn, now I have to watch it again..." 6 years of being an avid fan sound like long enough. Although, I often wonder over going back to the roleplay section in here, rp is much more fun than any video game, because I make the story and rules. Sadly, all these rp's die so fast.

Hmm, I think I see what you mean, everyone has to start somewhere. But I would advise to look into starting your own Charity at some point in the future, since it helps to both get funds and trust of donors. Still, the goals you set are totally worth the effort and I do hope you will get some tangible results, and soon. Still, I can't help but think if I could help in some way...

Yes, that is one of my concerns - a potential donor wants to be sure their funds will be quickly spent on a tangible goal, like paying for the surgery of Mr Smith. That, and each country has it's own rules governing charity. So you may actually have to make a foundation to process donations, or suffer penalties. Jail included. So I suggest checking these regulations.

For once, the fundraising is done by an individual, not a charity. Which is okay if the funds go to said person or their family but here the goal is to provide funds for strangers, and that raises the issue of transparent spending. Which in turn asks who and how will get these funds for treatment. Putting together a website and getting at least 2 people you want to help right now will increase the odds of people actually donating.

A commendable idea, really. And that's coming from a public health specialist. However, I also see a few shortcomings that may discourage potential donors which, in order to make your project succeed, will need to be addressed at one point or another. That being said, I'm of course open to sharing my impressions in hopes of making your project more successful.

A museum? That's interesting. What kind of museum is it? Also, I thought that only old people and school trips come to places like this, since everyone seems to be content with using Wkipedia these days... Eh, I can't recall when was the last time I actually went to a museum. Sad reality of modern life.

Wait, the heating is on?! Sounds like a story from the old bus model we used to have in Warsaw. The air conditioning was always broke and when they turned it on, all they did was up the temperature even more... That being said, central heating being on in June is really odd, especially in an office building.

It's not your fault that nowadays, discussions are basically made of exchange of monologues with little actual interaction. Just because people don't seem to pick up the topic doesn't mean it's not worth to try.
