  1. yeah especially since hasbro made mlp more suitable for people with social anxiety like with teennick and toonkritic was a brony analysis reviewer who was grooming minors though skype but i rather not go into details you just have to look it up on youtube or just google it but here's a few videos to start you with
  2. ik but i started it the thread with something more specific than most threads on this website with this topic well i think with the fact that i am a diehard fan in multiple fandoms like the disney fandom, sonic fandom, nintendo fandom, etc. i always switch from one fandom to the next not just sticking to one even though the hiatuses of mlp just like most edgy otakus/weeaboos at least in the united states
  3. yeah same thing with me you could easily get addicted to the fan content of the show and this is coming from a person who prefers to stay away from alcohol, harmful drugs, and tobacco and go for more safer alternatives like soda and video games
  4. sorry if my terminology is terrible but is that contraction is why there are so many cringey anti-brony videos on youtube since the brony vs anti-brony flame war started because i always been into the brony community more for the fan content than the show itself with some having the dramatic elements alot of anime and anime-influenced shows have that i enjoy in cartoons like my little portal and ponies meet world yeah i was'nt sure if it was going to go the same route as the sonic fandom after fim ends or the same route as the ppg fandom with well-produced origional fan content being obscure with the biggest one i know of that i enjoy is the ppgz webcomic
  5. ty i needed some brony veterans or at least more knowledgeable bronies to help me figure this out since i don't go on much forums just mostly just social media and websites like newgrounds and gamejolt if those websites are even considered social media also i seen some threads about the reason there are less viewers is because more bronies are using laptops or phones instead of tvs to watch episodes of mlp? it also didn't help that there are actually bronies who are intolerant to mlp r34 content
  6. well i been big into anime-influenced as well anime in my preteens in the 2000s that are action-comedies that aired on cn, nickelodeon, and saturday morning shows like the tmnt 2003 reboot so my perspective of the brony community is coming from a outsider pov so nostagia kinda factor in why i got into the brony community in the first place when i was losing hope in animation plus with the fact that i am a introvert my whole life is also another reason of my lack of knowlege of the brony community among with other fandom communities than there's also the fact that i am not interested in most pre-2000s western and eastern animation especially television shows like the smurfs and the flintstones so i have no interest in any of the mlp cartoons before fim
  7. ok the thing is that the brony community is really the first fandom i actually get big into since i started using social media around 2011 and joining around 2015 during the end of season 5 so my experience with fandoms are very limited especially with the fact that the internet is totally different world compared to irl
  8. as many of you already know the brony community have'nt been so great lately since the toonkritic scandal and as a concerned brony with hfa(high functioning autism) i want to know if the brony community is dying or there is just less brony celebs as there was during the start of the brony community?
  9. am i the only one who honsty do not think starlight glimmer is a good character and should've never been in mlp because of the fact that she pretty much went from a dictator to not being a dictator this is why i think trixie lulamoon should've been twilight's student instead of starlight glimmer or sunset shimmer because trixie lulamoon is more relateable than those two it ain't just some blind hatred for a character i want that character away from the show she is ruining it for me
  10. why don't we just go by what wikia says because the brony fandom don't really a internet website like wikipedia because often the majority of a fandom agrees on labels just like genres hell even brony is a furry label it's just music today you are either a pop fan or alternative fan http://bronies.wikia.com/wiki/Bronies_Wiki which will be less confusing
  11. i agree with you the best fans are the most loyal fan i don't want the fandom becoming some sort of graveyard we need to stop think of this as promoting stereotypes if most haters are gone like the fandom believes this should apply to all fandoms if you love pony content as you say than learn to adapt a more alternative way of thinking you guys are worrying more about the casual fans who most likely will leave the fandom one day look at it as pony marketing because if you don't you are just making for bronies leave the fandom you all do realize by not looking it at a more mainstream marketing look it as a midstream marketing for brony content because i notice that not all bronies become fans not promoting brony music to others because to bronies like me i want a mix of mainstream media and underground media and there will be bronies who will be whining over the fact that they can't find more brony content look at it the same way as other loyal fandoms this is one of the reasons they stay loyal to the fandom moderism is not as great as it was in the 90s and 2000s but you have to use a more mainstream approach for bronies to stay loyal to the fandom which is called post-modernism post-modernism ain't just underground music it's mainstream music as well the brony fandom is even being referred to as midstream among the alternative community which is what fan work is not mainstream music if it was than you would hear more of a variety of brony music instead of just brony edm because sooner or later this show will end and there will be less bronies because the majority of bronies are brought though the fandom though fan work mostly fan music while with me it would be brony video games like mlp: the bonds of friendship we do not need plus you all do realize that there are such thing as alternative culture not just alt music which alternative is mainstream experiential media so the brony community needs to focus more on the loyal fans than the trendy fans because i am sure that you all do not like mainstream media you are more worry as how the brony stereotypes than the brony community that's why i lost faith in mainstream media before i joined the fandom and that is why there are a variety of fan work in the fandom and just sticking with one genre of media can be very repetitive it's time for the alt-fans and the loyal fans to save the fandom this is not the bronism this is anti-bronism if anything it would be less anti-bronies who are cringe since most of them are young adults and pre-teens who believe in stereotypes which is consider elitism so by doing this you flaming the fandom and with the fact the fandom could be portrayed as heartless most bronies these days are focusing on independent media not mainstream media by not following the brody code you are killing the fandom and as we have learned since the fandom started that stereotypes cause hatred against bronies we need to look past the brony fandom as black and white because if we don't look past that the whole brony fandom will die because mainstream music is based on modernism and we all know the bronies are a subculture of furries think of marketing brony media the same way as furry media than bronies will be able to find the more obscure brony media the bronies need to make this a cross-gen fandom just like the starwars fandom and the disney fandom and the best way is turned the brony fandom into a anarcho-fandom because most fans that's not made of multiple fandoms ain't based on one show that's like saying the otaku fandom is going to die i should know i was a otaku before i got into the brony fandom so pretty much we need a more supportive fandom to keep the brony culture alive that's why fandoms are made not because of marketing bit because of the fan themselve because if you check out the younger generation you plus if we actually listen to what he says the brony fandom can involve into a brony multimedia culture just like the furry fandom and that what the brony code is to united all bronies together no matter what because i thought it was based on togetherness not over fear of cyberbullys because cyberbbullys are just like bullys as in they are too stubborn to see others opinion and if anyone still confused look at the article on bronies wikia alt brony but they don't really use something like bandcamp so the best way to search for stuff you can find in the fan art section of pony articles
  12. well since i am a very alternative brony who have seen both good things and bad things on the internet including politics and elitism i am a mix of both like most sjws -
  13. hey everyone is there anything you think is cringe about character you both consider as best pony and favorite pony with me it's twilight being a perfectionist more specifically her acting like a grammer nazi around the end of season 2 now if hasbro did'nt turned her into a grammer nazi i would have no problem with her grammer nazis are as annoying as these brony trolls that say love and tolerate

  14. i forgot to mention which of my favorite genres i enjoy the most which is alt metal because i think alt metal is more experimental metal music than everything else metal because most other metal music justtake influences from punk not anything outside of punk with funk metal having funk elements and rap metal and nu metal having hip hop influences which is great for someone who enjoys variety in metal and alt metal have more variety of influences than you would hear in most metal genres outside of metal and this is coming from somebody who favorite band of all-time is green day and i find that other rock music influenced by punk is more experimental than metal but don't have a very heavy raw sound and alt metal is pretty much the only rock music that have that kind of sound which i think alot of devoted metalheads hate when metal have influences outside of punk and this is coming from someone who is a teenager and have seen alt metal get the most backlash of metal music for various reasons with the metal online community this is why most alt metal bands aren't getting the mainstream attention they deserve and hope i am not the only one that feels this way about the metal community and it's the same with everything alt rock not just alt metal with other rock genres getting more praise than alt rock i hate how the rock community is bashing on alt rock instead of just complaining about alt rock actually listen to underground alt rock bands not just mainstream alt rock bands i have seen how alot of underground alt rock bands sound as great as mainstream alt rock if not better than mainstream alt rock i listen to alt rock because i am enjoy it not to look cool i even hate music fans like that it's just as bad as being a music elitist if you actually give a damn about rock music you will realize that everything alt rock is the most underrated rock genre to exist not anything metal or punk and this is coming from someone who used to be a rock elitist before joining the fandom
  15. oh ok yeah i ain't really bother by spoilers especially since unlike most people my introduction into mlp was the game the bonds of ffriendship by flutershyponypal which strangely was also was released when i lost hope on modern mainstream western animation since i kinda find the kind of humor that existed during the early 2010s on cn was pretty much it was cartoons for scene kids(looking at you adventure time and regular show) because if you seen how scene kids talk online is how the characters would talk and the only good ones were on nickelodeon and disney channel was shows like tuff puppy, spongebob, fairy oddparents, and probably a few other shows and pretty much older cartoons and anime gave me what i wanted in animation and never really watched much of the anime that was english dubbed and was happening at the time mostly stuff on vod that was free not cost money because i am one of those older gen z kids who been into animation since my preteens around the time i reach my teens i noticed that most of the cartoons i enjoyed in my preteens was gone so i was kinda a animation elitist back than i don't really look deeper for something i want on television and if it's not older animation it was probably animation i like it would be web animation which isn't like that terrible goanimated videos that i found out because of my sister being a fan of it which i totally do not understand why and if my parents had a enough money to get a better package than the basic i would actually be watching animation on television as i did back than so yeah i one of those older gen z kids that do not like the younger gen z kids as much because of how my personal taste in animation is different than theirs just like the younger millennials hate 2000s television animation it kinda works the same way as music fans oh and sorry if you think this is a wall of text i just type as much of stuff in a post as i talk which is alot and i think there are grammer nazis within the brony community which i do not like grammer nazis
  16. i think with the school thing is a bad thing i joined the fandom for the mane 6(except for pinkie pie and rarity) not characters that i believe will steal the mane 6 spotlight if this school thing is happening i don't want my favorite show to be like this the reason majority of the fandom got into the fandom will be gone if this will happen than it's a good sign that the show needs to crash and burn >:(
  17. here's some great metalcore and metalcore-influenced music that won't have earraping screams by a metalcore band that don't know how to do great screaming in their music and is worst than what is screamo according to wikipedia not metal bands that are mislabeled as screamo by both the fans of these bands and some metal elitists(i am looking at you metal archives) like thursday, story of the year, and hawthorne heights and this coming from some who is open-minded and don't want to listen to music that will earrape me and this is coming from the someone who is from the generation that enjoys this earraping music instead of something like avenged sevenfold, skillet, disturbed, and five finger death punch those are good modern metal bands not these earraping metalcore bands some you might like others you won't based on what your opinion on glam metal and nu-metal bands that combines either of those two genres with metalcore because i know how vocal the metal elitists are and probably most vocal metalheads online that aren't like young adults and more like middle-age metalheads but i am not sure if these are the majority of middle-age metalheads or not since the middle-age glam metal fans and nu metal and alt metal fans aren't as vocal(at least that is what it seems like online) and the middle-age metal elitists who raise their child to be metal elitists or some stupid other reason that younger metalheads think that "all good metal needs to be brutal as possible if it's not it's metal for posers" metal elitist mentality like this closed-minded metalhead youtuber called killbot&gorgoratack!!! amongtheherd princewhateverer metal core pony black veil brides blessed by a broken heart unlock the truth
  18. well since i grew up on my father's and aunt's generation of rock music(especially since i got into rock music when my aunt's generation around the time it was in a decline in the mainstream when i was in my pre-teens which was around the mid 2000s-early 2010s and my aunt was in her late teens-early 20s during that time) i would have to go with alt rock(pop punk, britpop, grunge, new wave, post-punk, pretty much most alt rock music from the beginning to today's alt rock) and alt metal(funk metal, grunge metal, rap metal, nu metal, industrial metal, post-metal, progressive metal, post-grunge) with my aunt's generation with listening to the best rock radio station to ever exist in ohio and overall 100.7 wmms and also i grew up on kidz bop and some of the songs that kidz bop did were from my aunt's generation of my music now with my father's generation it would have to be glam metal and traditional metal thanks to the radio station that i mentioned that since it's a active rock station, vh1 classic, and pop culture just like with 90s & 2000s alt rock/metal and probably pmvs, amvs, and covers of rock songs of their generation not really much from my generation since my knowledge of my generation of rock music is very limited(especially since i only was exposed to it around a in middle school and was never really pay attention to it until i became a devoted music fan which i do enjoy metalcore, deathcore, indie rock, and kawaii metal but other than that not much about what my generation of rock music fans listen to do that is mainstream rock or started in the 2010s) so i don't really have nostalgia for my generation of music as i do with my aunt's generation and father's generation of rock music
  19. All I said was that I grew out of it and that nowadays I find it too bland nowadays. I didn't call him any names or throw any insults at him. yeah i think they are some of the pop punk fans that think they got insulted for something like this which is idotic especially since one of the earilest pop punk bands are melodic hardcore which means they were making melodic hardcore punk with pop punk before sum 41 the pop punk band that is influential to easycore so the descendants is as much a predecessor of easycore as sum 41 but you shouldn't really get upset over a fact that someone who left the brony pop punk community but if there was pop punk elitists you would be called a poser for leaving the community because the music is too melodic just like you would get called a poser for leaving the hardcore punk community which if you did leave the pop punk community than i think you are a pop punk poser for a stupid reason like that and that you don't like melodic hardcore and post-hardcore including emocore just like if you left the hardcore punk community for being raw i'll call you a hardcore punk poser and that you don't like oi, anthro-punk, and street punk and i'll would say you are as bad as a scene now if you are only tired of the music because of how much of the music you have listen to it and want to move on to a different music community than i wouldn't have a problem with it as long as you don't do it to look cool in your circle of friends because in my opinion people should be listening to a both melodic and raw music because both melodic and raw music are great and those who only listen to one or the other are i am just applying this definition for any closed-minded music fans because this is the best way to describe closed-minded music fan who only listen to raw or melodic music not both including a genre or subgenre that is a combination of raw and melodic music
  20. yeah i kinda agree with how metalcore is the thing right now with mainstream metal back than it was nu-metal which i feel is a way better genre than metalcore and that metalcore should've just stayed underground in the first place we don't need screaming bands that sounds inferior to the genre and i seriously don't understand how it's mainstream when it's less radio-friendly than glam metal and nu-metal(the only good mainstream metalcore bands that don't scream poorly in their music now bands like bullet of my valentine and sleeping with sirens and probably some of the easycore bands) but the majority is earraping screaming they are mislabel as in by the metal community i seriously hope nu metal that ain't influence by metalcore or glam metal actually replace metalcore as the most popular metal genre since glam metal already had a revival and pop punk had a revival in the 90s and replace grunge as the most popular genre outside of metal among with post-grunge outside of metal there's still great pop punk bands hitting the rock charts and some electronic rock bands like fallout boy, neck deep, green day, hawthorne heights, and imagine dragon who started out as part of the genre that pretty much replaced post-punk/new wave(which ironically was replaced by a genre that also had a revival) as the most popular rock genre outside of metal which is indie rock and thankfully we still have good metal bands hitting the rock charts as well like disturbed, papa roach, in this moment, avenged sevenfold, and five finger death punch with some of those bands that i mentioned have made great mainstream rock back when i grew up in the 2000s in my pre-teen years which you could say i am still growing up since i am only an adult by age of consent standards with entering my 20s since the age of consent in ohio is 16 the earliest somebody can be consider the age of consent in the united states and is the same in most states i am not sure where you live is the age of consent which could be the uk since you say you hate british mainstream music than american mainstream music and most people hate pop music from the country they are from than a country they aren't from like k-pop and j-pop from what i seen in the comment section on youtube videos comparing western pop to eastern pop(k-pop & j-pop) probably the same with other genres as well i also don't really know if it's the same in other countries or just the united states with what's popular right now in rock music since my knowledge of mainstream modern rock music from outside the united states is more limited compare to mainstream rock music from the united states most of the mainstream rock music from outside the united states is pretty much bands that existed or still exist since the 60s-80s pretty much classic mainstream rock bands from europe i know scandinavian rock music is big and the only other european band would be asking alextrania from the uk with metal and outside metal i have even less knowledge of the closest is american and european bands that been making music since the late 90s/early 2000s like radiohead and i know grunge had a revival with all except one of the big 5 of grunge making music today and i think some post-britpop bands are popular like coldplay i don't even know if any of the bands of the original new wave and post-punk movements still putting out records that is still hitting the charts especially when some of them pretty much on indie labels and the closest thing to post-punk that i know is emo/post-hardcore bands other than the new wave and post-punk nostagia bands you mentioned which i don't put a / between them because i know some of the bands aren't both while the killers are and artic monkeys aren't and i seriously don't have a problem with musicians that started from a music competition as long as the quality of their music is great even some of the best rock bands started from a battle of the bands like nwobhm band grim reaper which any nwobhm fan should check out also sorry if this is too long(and probably think it is a wall of text if you think it's too long) i am just one of those people who loves to talk alot sometimes but i guess that is what happens with a open-minded person who is devoted to a variety of music and will rage when a music elitist says a subgenre of music is not part of it over stupid reasons when it is part of that genre just like i'll be raging at rabid anti-bronies for their behavior and is a die-hard brony who loves everything from this fandom both sfw and nsfw with some exceptions
  21. wow underground music made you hate mainstream music once i started listening to more underground music i still enjoy mainstream music so pretty much i love both mainstream and underground music now no matter what genre just like my aunt who is a pegasister and who is in her late 20s so much older than most pegasisters in the fandom with most of them being in their teens-early 20s at least from what i seen of the brony community on the internet
  22. i agree with you on u2 and i only have heard a few coldplay songs so i can't agree or disagree with you on if it's a bad album or but i disagree on pablo honey that's like saying stone sour is bad for being as chad kroeger puts it "nickelback-lite" which is also not true if anything which is a metal band not a alternative rock band that is a poor man version of a band it would be the german band accept being scorpions-lite at least when they started putting out music after listening to their first few albums trying to see if they made any music i would like i gave up on that band and what's wrong with a album sounding edgy just because it's sounds edgy don't means it's a bad album i would even go to the point to say it's one of their best best albums they ever made which is a great way to start their music recording career and alot of the best modern mainstream rock songs have a great edgy sound to it i haven't really listen to much zebrahead which sounds like a name of a motorhead/zebra(the glam metal band named zebra not the name of a animal) cover band but they sound similar to sum 41 maybe one of the bands that were influential to easycore like sum 41 which i haven't really listen to a sum 41 album fully just some songs from here to there to see how their music is like from album to album but from what i heard of sum 41 songs i haven't heard a sum 41 song i didn't like so i will have to disagree with you on that
  23. wow i was the same rather it be alternative metal or alternative rock like pop punk bands like green day and blink-182 and rhcp outside of metal while listening to stuff like hard rock, progressive rock, soft rock, and glam metal pretty much everything that was melodic and mainstream in the 70s and 80s with rock music and like i mentioned i was mostly sticking in this world of rock music before i joined the fandom which i mentioned here also if you are one of those bronies who love to have their favorite pony in their profile picture(the pony on the left of my profile picture) than we share more things in common than just music history which most bronies in the fandom also seems to have come from a rock music history as well
  24. i haven't really watch it but i have seen some clips of it and it seems it's as dramatic as a disney, dreamworks, or a blues sky studio film and most anime or a anime-influenced show or film like avatar the last air bender, tmnt 2003, and teen titans 2003 which is great for a animated film it's even better than everything gen 4-related official animation for the fact the show and everything eq don't really get much dramatic like a shows what both the show and eq should be like so yeah it's as great as what the fandom put outs which i seriously don't know why big western animation companies rarely make dramedys animated shows with action and romance like what's done with live-action shows and eastern animated shows
  25. before i just listen to mostly classic and modern mainstream rock(for modern mainstream rock it was mostly stuff like grunge/post-grunge,pop punk, and nu-metal outside of that would be other modern mainstream rock that was popular during the late 90s/2000s would be probably rhcp after they stop being a funk metal/alt metal band and became a funk rock/alt rock band with the only rhcp song would be californication since before i join the fandom i only knew a little bit of mid 2000s-mid 2010s mainstream rock music since i joined the brony fandom around the time made in manehatten aired because of that i was unaware of the death of nu metal and pop punk that happen at the time since i gotten into rock music around the time american idiot was released and was only a casual listener of rock music and music overall) than after i became a brony i got into electronic music and dance music now i pretty much love most music with clean vocals(including certain music genres i used to hate) since i always have a preference for clean over unclean vocals there's certain genres i also got into after joining the fandom with unclean vocals but not all which alot of brony fan music affected my taste in music and i still have a preference for rock more specifically melodic rock music and always love melodic metal more than metal that ain't melodic and melodic rock outside of metal
