  1. Copper looked over at Draco and nodded to him. He did have some fun going solo as a mercenary, but now, he thought, it would be the perfect time to join a guild and further enhance his strength. "Yes, I do want to join your guild." he said simply. "After seeing this whole tournament thing, I wanna push myself to greater heights." During the entire sequence of actions before this, Copper gave a nod of respect back to Onyx, as well as watched the reunion of Jade and Tricis. It reminded him that he needed t otalk to his parents some time soon. He hoped they were okay, as they were getting old.
  2. @dragon4111 @Literally Snails @Dynamo Pad @reader8363 Copper was silently walking with his team back to the medical building, a little ahead and beside of Jade and Draco. He had what seemed to be a determined look on his face, and it was obvious what he was thinking about. After this entire skirmish with Jade and Rokata, he wanted to push himself even farther than what he had fighting Onyx. He had a slight twinge in his stomach that told him that there were far stronger opponents out there... Unrelated to the entire thing, he looked at Draco and Jade. "Need help?" he asked the fellow mercenary. "Oh and... is there any spots open in your guild?"
  3. @Unicorncob @Literally Snails @Dynamo Pad @reader8363 @dragon4111 When everything was said and done, Copper had just reverted to normal, looking very stunned. He slowly walked up to Jade in the Arena Circle... what was left of it anyway, his expression changing from stunned to proud. He placed a hoof gently on her shoulder and said, with a bright smile, "Great job, Jade. You're an amazing fighter."
  4. @Literally Snails @Unicorncob @Dynamo Pad @reader8363 That was the final straw. From Rokata looking too insanely overpowered, to Draco losing his life to said monster, and now Jade has finally lost her mind... it was now or never. He had no other option but to turn into a Super Pony. (This is how he transformed into the form I'm going to explain below this link.) He remembered hearing stories of generations of Super Ponies, there only being one in each generation, fighting to protect something they cherished. He also remembered a group of ponies in this generation doing everything they could to become one, but they had no idea on how to do it. Copper, here, has realized the key to form. Anger. Anger at Rail for setting up this pointless tournament, anger at Rokata for killing innocent lives, and now anger at Jade, for completely losing control of herself. All of that, was the result of an ear-piercing scream that literally shook the heavens, and that no one, not even Jade, could ignore. If they looked back, they would see a panting Copper Strikes, but his usual blue fur wasn't there, instead it was pure yellow, and his mane was spiked up. "Jade... don't be like Rokata." he simply said.
  5. "You're an absolute dumbass, Rokata." Copper's voice echoed throughout the arena, with authority and clarity. He stood on his hind hooves as he continued speaking, defiantly even. "You used to be a pony, yes, but look at yourself now. You've become nothing but a puppet to a corporate entity who isn't even as powerful as you are! All this shows out of you is that you're the weakest pony in this ENTIRE stadium!" He put a heavy emphasis on "Entire" just to make sure Rokata heard. "You're far, FAR weaker than even the spectators in this crowd, and no matter how much power you flex, you cannot deny the truth. You've become a side-show, a gimmick, a mockery of who you were. You were taken advantage of because of your own stupidity... and I bet that you will be left for DEAD as soon as Rail gets his way. Is that what you want?" He let the words hang for a long period of time, just to see how Rokata would react.
  6. @Literally Snails @Unicorncob "..." There seemed to be an off-putting atmosphere coming from Copper, but of course Jade and Rokata wouldn't feel it since they're the strongest ponies... Strongest... He sighed, knowing he couldn't do anything in his current state. Why did he even agree to come here to begin with? What was his original goal? To kill Rail? He would still do that, no doubt, but to think he was witnessing this stupid and pointless fight made him even more furious than ever. And it was made worse that he couldn't do anything, and as an Merc who wanted to be the best that he could... it hurt his pride.
  7. @Literally Snails After everything that had transpired, Copper simply stood exactly where he was, his fur turning darker because of the smoke, even more annoyed. He looked over at Quill to say, "That body's very powerful, yes, but it's damaging his body from within. If Jade can figure that out, her strategy might change."
  8. @Literally Snails @Unicorncob @dragon4111 @Dynamo Pad @reader8363 He expected this all too well. Copper had a hunch that Rokata was going to have an explosion of power, much like one particular enemy he had faced months ago. He didn't even flinch when the explosion of power happened, he expected it that much. He growled loudly, sensing the kind of power Rokata has. Even his limit broken state, which he did use for a short moment against Onyx, couldn't keep up with this... whatever this was. He was getting angry, but felt a pop from his body. The demon side of him was slowly transforming him, and as soon as he realized it, he started suppressing it quickly. He didn't need that form yet, not now. He needed to wait until the exact right moment.
  9. @Literally Snails @dragon4111 @Dynamo Pad @Unicorncob @reader8363 "Not much of a surprise there." Copper's voice carried itself throughout the arena, enough to where both Rokata and Jade could hear him. He looked over at Topaz and said, "I suppose both teams have to clear out the expanded Arena circle, yes? If so, we'll move to the stands if necessary." Then he turned his attention back to Jade. "Jade, whatever those things around your hooves are that are holding you back, use whatever code you were given and go full force from this point on. But be careful. As you saw with me, you can only withstand your own heat for so long if you haven't fully mastered it. If you overheat, it's game over."
  10. @Unicorncob @Literally Snails @reader8363 @dragon4111 @Dynamo Pad "Hmm..." Copper was observing the fight from his team's side, having felt he had regenerated enough energy to protect his team in case something bad happens. He could most likely lose the energy he had gained if a powerful attack came in their direction, but at least now he can defend the team. "Jade seems to be waiting for the right time to strike at full force," he said to his team. "She needs to be careful, though. If she waits too long, I fear Rokata could snap on her."
  11. Copper looked up from his meditating spot to look at Jade, having overheard what she was asking. "Something's telling me that they're planning on pulling a fast one on us, which is why I'm in my current position now, slowly regenerating my energy, in case something bad happens and I have to defend the team."
  12. Copper grumbled a bit. He didn't trust Rail at all, and something told him that something bad was about to happen. With that, though, he returned to his team's side of the Arena and sat down on the ground. From there, he wrapped himself in an indestructible shield, and afterwards the light orange aura from earlier returned. Now he was focused on returning back to full strength. He hoped he wouldn't have to use any of his strength, but the feeling of being pulled a fast one was still in his mind.
  13. @Dynamo Pad @Literally Snails @reader8363 @dragon4111 @Unicorncob Of course it was a set up by Rail. Copper didn't know it from the time he checked Tricis's pulse, but he had a slight feeling it would when Rokata told him he was fine with being disowned. Now that Rail confirmed it, he was more pissed than ever. And to top it off, he had a sinking feeling that Rail was gonna pull a fast one on Team Lotus. He slowly made his way onto the Arena Circle and pointed at Rail. "I'm gonna tell you something right now," he stated. "If you try to pull a fast one on us, not only will your reputation be destroyed, but not even Rokata can save you from my wrath. But I will say this... you have a bounty on your head from someone who used to work for you. If you do keep your promise, then there won't be a bounty for me to collect because you agreed to give up your life, and because of my honor code, I cannot accept the reward."
  14. "Okay, bro," Copper smiled as fully shut down the wounds on Dynamo. Afterwards he had noticed the tears on the unicorn's face, and then he hugged him. "I'm sorry for your loss," he said. "She could've been a good friend, I know she would." He knew better than anyone that when tears were sprung on Dynamo, there was a potential friend of his lost. With that said, he just noticed his hoof engulfed in a light orange aura, and then saw his whole body like that. "Looks like it's time," he said as he released Dynamo from the hug. "The process may be slow, but I should be able to restore my energy at some point, that way I can defend the team from anything stupid that might happen."
  15. @Dynamo Pad Copper looked at Dynamo for a brief moment before nodding. "Y-yeah. Sorry bro, just got caught up in the stuff." He casually picked up his friend and walked back to his side of the Arena circle, where he laid the Unicorn down and healed him like he did Rose. "There, that should patch you up for now." he said.
  16. @Dynamo Pad Copper was ecstatic, jumping up and down in excitement when he heard Dynamo won. He was so proud and... He stopped the moment he saw Rokata smile and Dynamo. He quickly bolted to beside his best friend and said, in a more joking manner than serious, "What's the smile for? You know your biggest threat is yet to take the arena, right?" He returned to a more serious manner when he continued, "I will not allow my best friend to turn to the dark side."
  17. "Here's some knowledge I've learned from History class in high school. 'The thing that we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down.' There is absolutely no reason for you to stay down when everything is on the line. You may not see it, but the team is depending on YOU to stay alive. And besides, Starlight isn't even in this arena, let alone the stadium last time I checked, so she's perfectly okay. We didn't lose Frost because of you, either. "You're not a failure, Dynamo. You have a purpose in this world, and that is to WIN. So I suggest you get the hell back up, and prove to me that you're a competitor. You remember those videos we watched of professional gamers doing all this crazy crap, right? And you're a gamer too, right? So you had better get up, and show that you're the absolute best gamer in the entire world!" The last sentence was in a yell that would hopefully bring Dynamo back to his senses.
  18. "Do you really believe that? That was the most basic evil illusion out of all illusions I've ever known. I don't like saying this, but you're far too gullible. That's why Selene picked you to fight her in the finals. She knew you would be the easiest to break with her illusion magic. You have to stop doubting yourself, bro. We both had doubts on achieving our black belts in Sensei's class, but we did it with flying colors. You can beat Selene. I know you can."
  19. It was like some spiritual connection between the two ponies, as they had been best friends for years since Karate. Fate had some words and allowed Copper to help his brother from another mother. "Get up." Copper's voice was close to Dynamo, in fact, he was right next to the unicorn spiritually. "I'm not letting my best friend die in a place like this. I'm helping you out. I'm not fighting her, but I'll be guiding you to victory. I know you can do this, bro. You supported me when I thought I couldn't win against Onyx, and I'm returning the favor."
  20. @Dynamo Pad @Literally Snails "No... this can't be happening..." Copper was in an absolute panic. He didn't want to see his best friend die. Not like this. He was shaking, in fear and rage, mostly because he knew he couldn't do anything. Tears were springing from his eyes as he bellowed out, in a roar that would dwarf anything the crowd could muster, and certainly have Dynamo hear. "DYNAMOOOOOOO!" That tone would tell anyone in the arena that he would never forgive Rail or this tournament if Dynamo died.
  21. @Literally Snails @Dynamo Pad @Unicorncob @Canteen_the_unstable @dragon4111 @reader8363 "...Wait, who is he talking to?" Copper had to look up at the arena circle for a moment to try and understand what he was trying to process. Though the crowd was making it quite difficult to hear, he could swear he was hearing his best friend talk to someone. The moment he had a good idea, he had to take a step back in fear. "No... Dynamo," he stammered.
  22. @Unicorncob @Canteen_the_unstable @Literally Snails @reader8363 @dragon4111 "Enough." Copper's stern tone of voice would try to silence both Jade and Canteen, and would be loud enough for all of his team to hear. He was concentrating supremely hard, his body engulfed in an aura which resembles the color of a typical rock. "Before you ask, I have the ability to see with my body, due to me having fought an enemy similar to the one Dynamo's fighting. I'm going to relay the information as I go along, and so far, it's not looking good for Dynamo. While it looks like they're just standing still, I can clearly see fighting within the circle."
  23. @Dynamo Pad @Unicorncob @reader8363 @dragon4111 That almost... ALMOST did Copper in in terms of absolute anger. At the current position on his team's side of the Arena, everyone would see the visible rage that had consumed the blue pony. He started grunting, his teeth grinding in his fury, on top of a golden outline surrounding his body. Multiple cracks of lightning emerged from the sky, heard by everyone. He didn't want to see Dynamo die... but he knew he couldn't do anything. That made him even more furious, and the pressure exerted from him was far greater on its' own than even Team Rokata's combined pressure when they first arrived here in the finals. Thankfully, a cooler head won over, and in the wake of an almost certain transformation, the yellow outline disappeared, the lightning stopped, and the pressure was no more to be seen. It was as if... he was crying? If he was it was so silent that nobody picked it up. He had his cloak's hood over him so it was more difficult to tell, but keen eyes could see him cry.
  24. @Literally Snails @Unicorncob A grunt was heard from Copper as he saw Rokata destroy the Tenebris in one fell swoop. The fact that there was someone so powerful as he was made him pissed off on the inside. He knows he could beat Rokata, as he had faced similar enemies before he came here, all of which with the same intent to kill as this one. Speaking of which, he had just taken a look at Rail, and remembered why he had agreed to come here to begin with. A lone survivor of last year's Dark Tournament, who had also conveniently worked with Rail before he managed to escape once he had learned the truth, tipped the Earth Pony off about Rail, and set a rather large bounty for his head. If he was going to collect said bounty, Copper needed Jade to kill Rokata, so that no one could stand in his way. He'll worry about that later, as for now, he simply nodded at Rokata in respect before hopping off the Arena. @Dynamo Pad @dragon4111 "Hold on, I got this," he stated to Dynamo as he put a hoof on Draco's chest. He enveloped himself in the same green aura he used to heal himself up with, and began the process of stopping the blood loss on Draco.
  25. @dragon4111 @Literally Snails @Unicorncob @Dynamo Pad To think that something that sounded out of character at first would make the most sense to everyone in Lotus's team. That would be for Copper hopping onto the Arena Ring and getting in front of Draco to defend his fellow mercenary via a Mercenary's Code of Respect. "You're not fit to fight now, Draco. If this gets out of hoof and Tenebris somehow gets away from Rokata, I'll be the one fighting." It looked like he had fully recovered from his battle with Onyx, but on the contrary, he had bruises all around where the scrapes would normally be. If the announcer got up and saw the situation, he would say, "Topaz, before you say anything, is there any rule against defending a fighter when their match is over? Because that's what I'm doing."
