More tags = more traffic, have relevant ones too, but it would also show up on other videos as related if the tags are relevant to that video even if the video isn't relevant to it.

Yes but that is not always the case, many times it will not put your video in someone's related videos because someone else may have relevant tags AND a relevent title which usually puts it ahead of yours. I've tried using irrelevent tags, they will at most get me 10 more views from getting in someone else's related videos and then they get burried under...well... properly tagged videos.
