  1. It would be. Yep. xD

Or not... Maybe... Urghh... I'm confused now ._.

Lol, it's alright. I am the one who was confused. No offense, but I looked at your picture and thought you were a girl. That's why I thought it freaky that you'd be sitting there topless with your brother, with his arm across your chest. o_O

  2. Haha, No. xD

It was a very hot day, I don't know he just seemed to want to take a picture with me, I had my shirt off since it was hot, He wanted to be like me (Yeah, don't even know.) and yeah... Seems weird when you look at it. xD

Alright. Sure looks like you're wearing nothing at all up top, though. o.O

Unless that's what you meant by you not wearing a shirt. ._.

  3. In the Old Testament: I'd go with either 1 Maccabees or Sirach, if I were deciding on a single book as a whole; although there are notable stories all throughout the Old Testament.

In the New Testament: Luke-Acts (both written by Luke) I like for it's impressive coverage of the life of Jesus/Apostolic history as far as historiography is concerned. The imagery and visions of Revelation are also great to read.

The Letter of James - Martin Luther's least favorite book of the Bible - is also noteworthy.

  4. I'd also note that 'Gott ist tot', as Nietzsche put it, isn't quite as literal as the professor is making it out to be. 'Gott ist tot' was meant to represent the death of religion and the rise of secular culture, it doesn't mean that God is literally dead. Irrelevant to the movie, yes, but it bugs me. If you're staunchly atheist, wouldn't you say he is a myth, rather than he is dead? That and he's teaching philosophy. If he has payed any attention to Nietzsche's work, he'd understand that he's not using it correctly.

Keep in mind that the first thing he states in the trailer about God is that "There is no God." The sense in which he says God is dead looks to me to be identical to the Nietzschean use of the phrase. I take it the theme/question of God 'being dead' is going to be the big one throughout the movie. :P

  5. It looks interesting. I haven't watched many Christian movies, though, so I don't know where this lands in the mix and I don't know what to expect of it.

If they could handle the topic in a good theatrical manner, I will be very impressed. At the very least, I will take some cynical enjoyment from the emotion-laden criticism this movie will no doubt get from the less-than-believing community. :P

  6. Which conception of the multiverse are you referring to?

I've been under the impression, and I believe the impression is based on good reason, that "multiverse" refers to the theory postulating simply that multiple universes exist in either a finite or infinite amount; not that every conceivable or imaginable scenario is actually instantiated in a universe, which is much more akin to the "possible world" of philosophy or the "alternate universe" of science fiction.

In the case of either the finite or infinite set of universes, it is not necessarily the case that within those sets of universes every possible scenario is instantiated.

Although, there is one conception of the multiverse that I can't quite name off the top of my head that is based on a certain interpretation of quantum mechanics and has to do with some physical entity having the chance of existing in any possible location in space, or something of that sort. But even this conception, which is highly questionable in itself, does not on its own model necessitate that "any" possible scenario is actually instantiated.

  7. Alright people. I once told myself that I would never post a picture of myself on any site on the internet. But since I've been here for so long and you've people have become my family... Okay, second family, I think you should know how I look like.

  8. Need to get your picture taken with him as well, and that's gotta be posted on the site somewhere. Then, yes. And, who knows. If I'm feeling generous.

Edit: Wait, my mistake. That "last picture" I mentioned was posted by Fox in this thread, which I mistook for the original post. :P

Edit again: Crap, this was supposed to go to the end of my previous post. :V

  9. I look like such a spazz in the first picture

I know the feel. Look at me in the last picture Fox's post. I don't know what the hell kind of facial expression is even on my face.

I assume/hope that I was goofing around for the one moment, and not that my face just happened to do that. >_>

  10. Oh boy.

    1. Halo 2
    2. Halo: Combat Evolved/Anniversary Edition
    3. Halo 3
    4. Halo 4
    5. Halo 3: ODST
    6. Halo: Reach
    7. Halo Wars

Halo 2 - I loved the campaign. The broadened story was intriguing. The physics of the game ran a lot smoother than CE. I never got to play multiplayer, though.

Halo: CE/CEA = A classic, but not my favorite. There's a ton in it that would pass for mediocre if it was released today, but for 2001 it was amazing. I never got to play its multiplayer either, though.

Halo 3 - A decent way to end the trilogy. I was disappointed that they dropped much of the Arbiter's story. I got to play multiplayer and I consider it mediocre.

Halo 4 - Fun to play. A ton of improvements over Reach, particularly as regards the innovations Bungie made. 343i got them to fit much better into the overall gameplay. The largest downside to the story I found to be the presupposed knowledge of the Halo books. I enjoy the books but I would have hoped to get something that can stand alone in how it presents the story. The multiplayer is my favorite of the series. My stats :V

Halo 3: ODST - A nice spin-off. The quasi-open world gameplay implemented and Firefight were nice editions. I don't know what the hell is up with grenade throwing in this game, though. It takes some adjusting to handle your guy flinging his grenade in the air.

Halo: Reach - Overall, I consider Reach a good game, but so far as my expectations went, this was the most disappointing Halo game I've ever played. The characters were annoying. I don't understand why they would give 4 out of the six main characters really gross sounding accents, and give your character either a generic male or female voice. It didn't feel much like a dramatic battle, either. More like you killing aliens while the rest of the planet sits on their asses. Multiplayer was fun, but as I mentioned somewhere above, Bungie's innovations didn't run very smoothly. Also, when Kat got a round through her head, I couldn't help but think "FINALLY!". I shed no tears for Noble Team.

Halo Wars - A mediocre RTS, but surprisingly fun.

Halo: Spartan Assault - LOL Windows 8. Still haven't played it.

  11. What you're referring to are profile comments.

Click on their profile, go to "profile feed", and - if they have it enabled - there should be a bar to write a message.

Only they are notified about it. Others can find it and comment in it, but it's not publicly posted in the 'recent status updates' tab.

  12. I didn't intend to write about my Bronycon experience because I'm (1) extremely lazy, (2) self-conscious about sounding cheesy, and (3) not confident in my writing skills.

I've changed my mind, since it would be really dumb to have an amazing time with friends and not share a bit of it with anyone.

    Where to begin...

First, I must say that the convention was well timed in my life. I really needed a break from the usual cycle I experience day-after-day. The day I left for the convention I was in a particularly sour mood. Imagine not caring if you died on the train-ride there. Yeah...it was that bad.

The ride there was pretty frustrating, since I felt sick and the train car smelt like old cheese. Amtrak wifi doesn't work for crap, either.

After leaving Amtrak, my dad and I waited for the little tram/wannabe-train that they had there.

There we met a certain Rob from the U.K., who is the creator of the Mine Little Pony mod for Minecraft, apparently. An interesting fellow, but I let my dad do all the talking.

Eventually we made it to the hotel. I left my dad at the end of the massive registration line while I went to call people and see where they were. No one answered except Chigens and Zoop. Chigens was still on her way. I have no idea what Zoop's whereabouts were because all I got from him was some random sounds and the occasional "who the hell are you?". He hung up after I started making some weird sounds in return. Meanwhile I was still in a bad mood. This wasn't exactly helping. :P

Eventually Marco finally answered his freaking phone! That, or he called me back. I can't recall. Then came the first time during the trip that someone tried to give me directions and I had no idea where they wanted me to go. "Go along the side of the convention center" doesn't help very much when the convention center has four sides and entrances all over it.

Marco's fun to screw with (in an entirely non-sexual way, of course), so of course when he came into sight I asked him if he could see some banner hanging over the street, and to use that as a landmark to direct me where to go. Maybe asking him to just stare at it wasn't the best of plans. He turned around and realized I was coming up behind him.

Together we met the first group I joined at a fountain near the harbor. Apple Bloom, Skullbuster, Feld0, Marco, and some others were there. We messed around a bit before Marco and I took off for the registration room.

As a general note, I tend to follow Marco around, and call his phone whenever I need help with something (during convention time). I don't know, he's just fun to do that with.

So anyway, Marco and I went to the hotel on the 2nd floor (where they had the registration room/lines). We looked around for Zoop for quite some time. I wasn't sure exactly what Zoop would look/dress like, so we had some difficulties. There was, though, this bald guy on the registration line in a white shirt and glasses who I had a really strong feeling was Zoop. I'm one of those people who would rather postulate that someone just happens to look exactly like someone I know, rather than risk approaching them and it turning out not to be them. I did catch some of this on camera, where I literally film Zoop and jokingly suggest to Marco that it is Zoop. Marco and I went around for an unnecessary amount of time before finally leaving the registration room. And there was that bald guy again sitting on one of the couch-things they have out there. It was just too perfect to not be Zoop. So I got the idea just to call Zoop's phone number and see if the bald guy I've been staring at reaches for his cell phone to answer a call.

And...turns out it was Zoop! Zoop, Luminescence, and...Skygunner I think was also there. There were some really long stares from Zoop and some random intense laughter from Lumi and Zoop in response to Marco's question "How was your trip?". Zoop explained in his post in this thread why that was.

Later, Chigens finally arrived! My gosh, Chigens has a slender body. @_@

Chigens was my convention-buddy (I think that's an understatement ;) ) so we were together more than not.

[i was going to continue going over stuff according to day, but I can't remember the exact chronological order of stuff, and other stuff I recorded.]

So, anyway, its was tons of fun. There were lots of hugs. Lots of shenanigans. Lots of laughs.

    There were many groups hugs.

Chigens got the most hugs from me. Fox, who I met at the event (who's an awesome Canadian :P) got the second most.

I think I'm really off-track now. I'll make another post if I try to go into more detail on what we did during the event.

Here's some more random footage. I'm sure there's some funny material in it but I think it's more unedited than the previous videos.
