Yeah, the unicon organizers are trying to be quiet about it (don't know if anyone in the organization was involved, but they definitely screwed up with whoever they entrusted handling/raising/investing of the money).

Poor guys. Probably gonna be hard for hem to get a successful turnout next year.

If they can even organize it at all (VAs will probably refuse to return). I like what EverFree Radio is saying, that there need to be less conventions. Never been to one myself, but it does indeed seem like there are too many, and sometimes they're not always professionally run or organized, and there's far too much of a chance of something like this happening.
