    *sigh* Voted today. Feels good getting to exercise such an important right and civic duty. As a staunch conservative, I am hoping that Republicans manage to retake control of the Senate. I'm not an optimist or anything, but perhaps at the very least we can bring an end to this insufferable gridlock in Washington if that happens.

      Oh trust me, I'm not crazy about Woodrow Wilson either. Teddy Roosevelt was kinda crazy with executive orders as well, but I have such a hard time disliking the man because, well, he was awesome, at least personally. For crying out loud, the man delivered a speech after being shot! BAD ASS!!!

      Yeah. Just remember, the first progressive was a republican. Not saying everyone running on the GOP ticket is "just-as-bad", but some are.

       

      And since Obama (now, truly) has little/nothing to lose...

      I think the last good president we had was Kennedy of course even he wasn't entirely perfect but did try to do the right thing which is unfortunately why he got a bullet in his head. My favorite president hands down is George Washington though, he didn't trust political parties, wanted to avoid entangling alliances and didn't want us to be the police of the world. The closest person to that that has run recently was Ron Paul.
