Well, my Sectionalism and Civil War class is going to be absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Interesting fact I learned this morning in the first class (really tiny tidbit of info, but still, very interesting), apparently, in the 19th century, the N-word was not considered a racial derogatory term, but rather a class derogatory term, and was applied to the Irish about as often as it was applied to blacks. Who knew?!?!
