  1. R.I.P. Stan, and thank you. Excelsior.

  2. *gasp* Diabolical! The horror, THE HORROR!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jy-0ZwgeSvc
  3. Well, that ending was terrifying. But, at least Chancellor McRacist isn't a racist anymore. All around, hardly the best season finale ever, but it was still very entertaining and wrapped up Season 8 quite nicely.
  4. It's the faceoff of the century, Pint-Sized Turd vs. Chancellor McRacist.
  5. OK, what did that pint-sized little turd do to Glim-Glam??? And I swear she's probably trying to get the Mane 6 stuck in Tartarus too. More intriguingly, it would appear that Cozy and Neighsay do not, surprisingly, have the same agenda, which I kinda like. It would be easy, narratively speaking, to just have Cozy Glow be a lackey of his, but I get the distinct feeling that's not what's going on.
  6. Very interesting conundrum presented here, and I can't wait to see what Tartarus looks like after all this time!
  7. Season finale time, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhh!!!!!!! :muffins: :-D :ticking:

      Woohoo

I'm not so sure about watching the finale. This season has been really inconsistent. :yeahno:

  8. Sooooooooooo... was this the MLP equivalent of this? Nah, I'm just kidding, this episode was nowhere near as powerful as that. Honestly, this episode kinda felt redundant. "Dragon Quest" all the way back in Season 2 pretty much covered everything this episode did minus the parent plot, and frankly I thought that Spike was more effective in that episode seeing as he had a bit more agency in making his own decisions (something that episode made a point of emphasizing). Here, while the Smoulder bits were great, she also had to be the one to knock sense into Spike, which made him look a little more stupid and gullible than he is. Like, I get the whole "parental manipulation" aspect of the plot and the lesson that a "parent/parent figure" whose "feelings" for you are that conditional isn't really someone who cares about you, BUT like I said, this lesson was covered years ago and done better, so while this episode was fine, it just felt redundant is all. Not bad, but not particularly great either. Just OK.
  9. Gosh, this guy's a dick. He's like Bowser mixed with the bumness of Bob from King of the Hill. I really hope his comeuppance is worth the wait.
  10. OK, so, is the show canon now that, like, the only dragons who get REALLY big the ones with giant hoards? Because I can accept that since they did establish all the way back in Season 2 that in this universe, dragons do get bigger if they collect more and more stuff, BUT that said, it's kind of been an unanswered question ever since Ember first showed up (given how big her dad is). So... if we're going by that logic, I guess the "normal" adult size for dragons is more like what Ember, Sludge, and Garble, etc., are, that is, of course, assuming they never start a massive hoard. Otherwise, I suppose it's safe to assume they'd get larger than that, much larger.
  11. Spike having an 'embroidery zone' makes me so, so, SO happy.
  12. Morning ya'll!  Who's ready for some new MLP this morning?  Can't wait to join ya'll and have a blast watching some more of our equine friends!

  13. Join me in 15 minutes, folks, for a reading of "This Day Is Going to be Perfect" and "Princess Celestia Gets Mugged," along with a short comic reading and possibly reader requests if time allows, in the Golden Oaks Library Discord channel!

  14. until
This Tuesday, I will perform readings of a couple of BronyWriter's comedies from 8 PM EST to 9 PM EST, including the one-shot "This Day is Going to be Perfect" and the multi-chapter fic "Princess Celestia Gets Mugged." I will be more than happy to take requests as well if anypony has any suggestions.
  15. Ah, Autumn Blaze was a ton of fun. What a great new character, awesome moral, and a phenomenal performance from celebrity guest VA Rachel Bloom. Very solid episode all around, definitely slice of life MLP at its best.
  16. OK, best song of the season so far right there. THAT was amazing. Also, very appreciative that this lesson seems particularly aimed at the present state of online Internet culture/basically what any difference between anyone these days does to public discourse. Very, very, VERY appreciative.
  17. Ohhhhhhhhhhh boy... that train pony's been living by himself for just a tad too long.
  18. Fluttershy right now: "Damn it... curse my ass. My fabulous, magical, glowing ass!"
  19. Good morning everypony!  Oh wow, I've been waiting for this upcoming new ep for quite some time.  Between the fact that it involves an adorable and very unique new species of ponies, should have at least one sweet new musical number, and (as I just learned this week) features another celebrity guest VA in Rachel Bloom, this should prove to be quite a memorable and hopefully great new episode!  Can't wait, see ya'll there in a little bit! :muffins:

    1. Woohoo

      Woohoo

Once again, I've already seen it. Personally, I think it's the best episode of the season. :mlp_yeehaa::mlp_yay:

  20. Ummmmmmmm... this episode is kind of terrifying. Some interesting character developments as well. Gallus is apparently claustrophobic and Yona may have at least a mild case of arachnophobia. Verrrrrrry interesting.
  21. Well... buck. Shit just got kinda real, guys. Also, the hell is that cutesy-wutesy filly's problem? Like... is she secretly evil like everyone thought she was when she first showed up???
  22. Morning everypony!  Who's ready for a brand new ep of MLP?! :ticking:

  23. Ha, whaddya know, I kinda called it. I said right from the start that Rockhoof would be a great source of oral history, his first class was clearly going great, with his storytelling evidently enrapturing the students (his smashing up the classroom aside) and it turns out telling yarns to other ponies truly is his new calling after all (while also helping ponies remember and preserve their history, culture, and where they came from). Awesome episode, if I do say so myself, and a pretty cool lesson to boot about the pricelessness of history, memory, and passing it on to others to help us understand how we got to where we are and where we came from. This public historian, for one, VERY much appreciates that. P.S. For those pointing it out, yes there is also definitely a lesson here for suicide-prevention as well, which I have to commend the writers here for for handling so well. P.P.S. Yona is officially best yak and is, frankly, just amazing overall. I mean she is just such a fun ball of energy and I love every second of screen time that we get of her.
  24. OK, if Rockhoof doesn't end up doing SOMETHING with the Yaks, I am gonna be both pissed and surprised. I mean, Yona clearly loves him already and he seems like he'd fit right in with them. Bet he'd get into all kinds of awesome yak bar-brawls, just smashing shit all day.
