    As someone who's studied public history, museum studies, and anthropology, I can VERY much relate to that poor mare's issues at the start of this episode. I mean, yeah I feel bad for Rockhoof, but that'd be a nightmare for any anthropologist (though the oral history opportunity would be priceless ).

    Hey everypony, glad to be one of our readers. Just had my first session tonight, and it was quite a lot of fun if I do say so myself. I hope everypony else had as much fun listening as I did reading. Down the road I plan on reading some much longer fics (in multiple installments, of course), and I'm very much looking forward to that, but for now I'm happy to say that I'm having a lot of fun already and this was definitely worth signing onto. Let's make our brand new, sparkling library an awesome place to be!

    Evening, pony friends!  In less than 15 minutes, I'll be performing a reading of Yukito's fic "Starlight Glimmer Overreacts to Everything" for Golden Oak's Library (and maybe some other fics as well, given that I'll have the whole hour and it's a pretty short fic!  Just follow the link below if you'd like to listen in.  I'd love for as many folks to tune in as possible, and hope to hear feedback on how I can improve, this being my first reading, after all.

    The two key factors were (1) unlike my previously least liked episode, “MMMystery on the Friendship Express,” “Hard To Say Anything” had a major plot change in it that was a GOOD one mind you (i.e. Big Mac getting in a relationship), it was just handled very poorly, and (2) the characterization was so bad that new and old characters alike came off as painfully dumb, and some exhibited what could be described as sexual harassment or even attempted assault. Yeah it’s a kids show, but that is REALLY not how you handle a kids episode of how to get in a romantic relationship.

    Well it’s kind of a subjective question. The early seasons have this raw freshness to them where the energy levels are just through the roof and you can tell the creators were still finding their footing and getting comfortable giving the show an identity. The later seasons are more sure of their identity and, as a result, more comfortable addressing some very complex subjects. The new additions they’ve made to the show in these seasons tend to last and broaden the size and scope of the show and its setting. But at the same time, while the show is more polished these days, and that polish is very much appreciated, it is apparent in everything, from the show’s animation, music, even humor and character traits. Its presence means that certain elements of the show feel more calculated and less raw than they used to, and there’s definitely something lost in the absence of that rawness. I would personally argue that, aside from some rare gems, the music has even started sounding redundant, especially in Season 8, but it’s still very good all the same. So all in all, I’d say that there are many things that you do get in the early seasons that you don’t get in the newer ones, and vice versa. They’re all worth appreciating for their own reasons, and as for me, I’ve loved every minute of the ride so far (aside from “Hard To Say Anything,” that episode can burn in Hell ).

But anyways, I'll take whatever old friends I can get, and it sure is nice seeing an old face around here once more. Come then, Lord of Chaos, join me on my dramatic exit!     Life is a crazy whirlwind sometimes.  That said, it can still be fun even when it's a whirlwind, and sometimes life's whirlwinds make you all the more determined to fulfill your goals and dreams.  Rest assured, folks, while my life may be hectic and crazy, I am still around and still determined to be an active and valuable member of our online community and the brony fandom.  I'm still writing fanfiction - surely but slowly - and hoping to be more involved in upcoming forum events very soon.  Love you all, and feel free to chat with me if you ever need to.

    Great call, seems like a prudent change indeed to this section of the forums.

    This is some damn impressive work. I say this without knowing whether or not you do commissions already (or even sell any art pieces), but if you don't yet, you should seriously consider doing so. I'm not aware of that many sculpture makers in the brony artist community, so there's definitely a bit of an untapped market there. Of course, if it's purely for your own personal pleasure as well, that's just as great, just offering my two bits.

    Not looking to apply myself, but keep me apprised as to who is looking into it. Poniverse PR would be happy to be connected with Event Coordinator activities since it will allow us to more easily stay on top of special events on MLP Forums and throughout Poniverse as a whole, thereby making it easier for us to promote them as well.

    Ooooooooo, that would definitely be something to look into. I think I mentioned earlier to her that she could at some point do commissions here, but yeah, that would be pretty awesome!

    Those are some pretty nifty ideas, @Jeric, thanks! I'm sure a lot of this will be commission work, namely since we don't exactly have room to store a lot of premade stuff to sell, but that just means she'll be super flexible on the customization end of things. Trickiest part will probably be determining prices based on the order, but Juli's so familiar with the industry and what reasonable rates are for so many items sold in it that I'm not too worried.

    Nah you're good man, since it's gonna start as an out-of-home business smaller items will probably make up a lot of what she's making. Juli's great at crafting all kinds of things and has worked in the wedding industry for years, so I'm sure she's familiar with a lot of what you're suggesting.
