Just finished Sergio Leone's "Once Upon a Time in the West"; very interesting film, very different from his "Dollars Trilogy". Might have to watch it a second time to catch anything I missed the first time, but probably the best send off to golden age Westerns that that old Italian director could give.
-
Happiness is watching the entire "Dollars Trilogy" in one afternoon; I tell ya, that last 30 minutes of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" is about as perfect as Westerns get!
-
Wooh, been a good afternoon; got through Sergio Leone's first two movies in "The Dollars Trilogy" "Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More"; classic first entries in the Spaghetti Western genre. Clint Eastwood is such a boss!!! BD

Wow! That sounds like an awesome senior thesis!

And oh my goodness, I think you'd just love (or hate
) "Renegade" then! It is _such_ a realistically gritty, unromanticized portrayal of some things, (though not all things.. : ) -- it seems non-American cultures sometimes have a clearer vision of some American themes, probably 'cause they can step back and take a look at things without the emotional connection. It's got some parts t...

That awkward moment when somebody subscribes to your YouTube channel when you've never uploaded a single video. 0_0 Seriously, WTF?

Dude, just noticed your new siggy! HAHAHA, that's awesome! XD BTW, any luck finding a good Soarin' navel avvie?

-
Hey dude, well I've had the head-tilt avvie for about a week, so think I'll switch to a navel avvie for a week or so; if it's alright, would you be so kind as to track down either a Derpy navel avvie or a Soarin' navel avvie (the latter just because I figured, hey, why not, nopony else has used him) for me?

Just finished that fanfic "Ah Ain't Got No Ack-Cent" that Stella recommended, and boy was it good! I guess my one issue with it would be that AJ's accent seemed a bit too pronounced and heavy in the dialogue, but other than that, great story.
-
Just finished watching "Yojimbo," a fantastic Japanese samurai gangster-western that Sergio Leone's classic first entry in the Dollars Trilogy, "A Fistful of Dollars," was based off of. Excellent, simply excellent!

-
Just finished Saul Bellow's "Mr. Sammler's Planet"; absolutely remarkable novel, simply a fantastic read.

OK, this is the weirdest thing. So I was a bit shocked to see that Muffin Thief's Ask Pony thread essentially jumped from 130 some posts yesterday to 260 some today, so decided to check out what the buck is going on. Turns out that about 3 or 4 people have turned it into some kind of strange, bizzarely random RP! LOL!!! XD

Oh that doesn't sound pleasant at all; still, if you peak in, it probably wouldn't hurt that much. Like I said, except for the OP, who's only replied once, everypony else is in complete accord in this instance. It's just one big, fun, clusterbuck of flat out hate for Blueblood at this point (which I never get tired of because, well, I hate Blueblood XD).

Making my way out of the dream sequence of chapter 2 into the Crystal Mountains segment. Writing's going swimmingly.

Ya know what I really hate? Take-home exams. I can't stand take-home exams!!!
-
Just finished John Ford's swan song "Cheyenne Autumn"; absolutely remarkable and moving film. Ya done the Cheyenne good Mr. Ford, ya done the Cheyenne good.
-
Time to kick back, eat some Domino's, and watch John Ford's final Western, "Cheyenne Autumn". All in all, a great way to wrap up Saturday!

-
Oh snap, that Dashie Wonderbolt avvie is sick!!!!!

Glad you liked the article, and I'm glad you actually understood what I'm trying to get at! Some of these people think I'm advocating censorship, and that couldn't be further from the truth!

Hey dude, read a very interesting article about young adult literature that, oddly enough, made me think a little about why so many people became bronies; here's the link to a thread I started with the link to the article, in case you want to read it. http://mlpforums.com/topic/52916-darkness-too-visible-the-darkness-of-young-adult-literature/

Oh me oh my, love the new Spitfire banner, great job Vexx! Can't say we've ever had a Spitfire banner, if I remember correctly. That, and, not gonna lie, it's nice not having serious Trixie glaring at me 24/7 now.

Just finished Issue #4 of the MLP Comic (and the end of the series first story arc) and I gotta say it was absolutely amazing!!! So many funny moments, fantastic pop culture references, and some truly exciting and touching scenes. Really stays as true to the show's atmosphere as a comic book could; if you haven't yet, check it out everypony!

Dude, you should totally put that "Top 20 characters" survey up as a Sugarcube Corner topic, totally be a lot of fun! Excellent survey, good find man, good find!

-
Hey dude, just wanted to let you know, in case you haven't seen it yet, that Doctor xFizzle is running an "MLP March Madness" tourney for the ponies; since he ran one last year as well, I wasn't sure if you'd want to pin it or not, since I think it turned out to be a pretty big community event last year. Just thought I'd let you know! Have a good day!

Wooh, all done putting together and printing up a fun little presentation on the Battle of Khe Sanh and the U.S. media's involvement. Was a lot of fun putting together actually, at least for this history buff.
