      River, It is. It just seems Lazy tho.

      Even if someone isn't the best at drawing finding a base of rainbow dash and painting it pink doesn't make an Oc.

      I can't take these ocs serous just as much as I can't take a beautiful Mary Sue Oc serous when there background is a mix of nonsense

      I guess it's not as rosy on the perspective of the artist who had to draw it. It feels like you're doing a mortal sin on the artist's code. O_O

      Yeah, I try to make my character's backstories completely out of the canon universe if it doesn't fit. Not a visual artist mind you, I'm more of a writer. However, if I can't draw the character without using the entire design of another pony, it will only stay in my head. By the way, I checked out your art, it's some pretty nice work.
