I'll be done with college right after this exam for a month. Making friends in your class. Chat it up before/after, eat somewhere and invite others etc.

I try but I am not good at talking with strangers. It normally takes months before I get the courage to talk to somebody.

No one really is good talking with strangers. It always depends on the strangers and I'm sure some of those strangers are also looking to stop being strangers.
