      Yes but "them" is plural. 

      Zer is a new term invented for specifically the purpose of not gendering anyone you don't know. Cuz otherwise you would have to say he/she all the time.

      Also @Ethan I'm not talking about dating I only met "hanging out" I'm aromantic so I don't date. Also don't know this person enough to say if ze is awkward or not

      Within context it is often singular and plural in usage.
