Well, I've caught up with all the episodes I've missed so far.
^^ I gotta say, Pony Life is pretty entertaining. Not only that, they fixed some of the faults they had with FIM:
SpoilerTrixie seems to have learned her lesson (for now. honestly, the episode surprised me. I thought I was going to HATE the episode she was in. Thankfully, Pinkie interrupted her before she could say the whole line. You know which one I'm talking 'bout
) that she shouldn't show-boat all the time or she'll have no friends / she wont have any friends, Rainbow Dash is nowhere near as egotistical as she was in FIM, and Twilight is surprisingly competitive (normally, you'd think Applejack would be the one competing against RD, but no. If anything, she's the responsible one that keeps the gang together) / engaging (working alongside her friends to solve a problem) in this series, which comes off as a breath of fresh air.
Honestly, I didnt think I'd like Pony Life at all. Now, I'm binge-watching through all the episodes like I did with the earlier seasons of FIM.
AND I like how they're getting the message across to their younger viewers:
SpoilerSome good examples would be In Best Of The Worst where Rainbow Dash, despite being competitive learned as long as you had fun, you're the real winner even if you lost. It's all bout having fun. Another one would be A Camping We Will Go where Rarity came out of her comfort Zone in order to try out new things (that is a lesson I need to learn, tbh) Another one would be Rainbow Dash learning to take a chill pill / take her time in The Fluttershy Effect. If you rush, you aint gonna get the job done.
...and my favourite lesson comes from Dol-fin-ale. It's always best to tell the trust, even if it hurts. That goes without saying. As a matter of fact, that is my motto
What the mane 6 did was wrong, lying to fluttershy 'bout the meet and greet competition to see Finn-tastic and that she's too old to participate, but they did it for a good cause and that was to make fluttershy happy / they didnt want to dissapoint her.
No really, the messages they're trying to get across to their younger viewers is REALLY good and it reminds me of the 'Dear Princess Celestia' messages of old. THANK GOD they went back to the drawing board. I'd say Pony Life is the equivalent of the earlier seasons. It's just like Seasons 1 - 2, which is a REALLY good thing.
It's cute, funny and educational. Heck, it's got me binge-watching the hell out of the episodes. Would I buy a DVD of this? Heck yes. Would I make a Pony Life version of my OC?
hmm...maybe in the future 
I've grown to like the animation. it's cute and it has its own charm.
I think they all look pretty cute in that cartoon-network esque art-style. Like I said before, it's cute, funny, entertaining and educational. The show DEFINITELY has its moments ^^ it's DEFINITELY worth watching IMO. :3

Just finished watching "Yuri on Ice" and it was a good anime but was disappointed. Many people praise it as some LGBT champion and maybe that's the case in Japan (tho I have heard of many other shows that took it further/made it less ambiguous), but honestly was hoping for more. Still a good anime tho. Maybe more will be touched upon in the movie. If it ever ends up coming out that is.
That being said, I know there are some people that praise FIM like it's some champion as well, but honestly I wouldn't even put mlp anywhere on a list of progressive/queer animation etc. Scootaloo's aunts is one random episode that might be skipped over, Lyra and Bon Bon are in the background and hardly have an impact in the show, Applejack and Rainbow too ambiguous to give note to and happens at the end. The only thing I can praise is "Rollercoaster of Friendship" cuz that was 44 minutes of obvious Applejack x Rarity. It was a special that had a good amount of marketing etc. But unfortunately it was pretty much thrown overboard in Spring Breakdown.
Queer Animation champions gonna be She-Ra, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, and Steven Universe for me. Haven't seen Adventure tho I heard of positive portrayals there too. Small shout out to My Hero Academia for the 2 trans characters it has.
Def. need to expand my queer animation.

Just saw the first two episodes of Pony Life
SpoilerTo say put it plainly, I liked the second episode and didn't like the 1st. The first episode just felt a little too wild (even for PInkie Pie standards), from a writing perspective the jokes and antics were just not well done. But there still was cuteness in it. A did chuckle a few times.
But the 2nd episode I really liked. After the last 3 seasons kinda made Rainbow Dash suck, seeing her like this is pretty great. She's friendlly, and expressive to her friends about how much she cares about them and it's a result of just feeling like it as opposed to the whole group doing it, while being competitive and prideful. When she walks in the door and says "my buddies" I swear I squeed so hard. Like wow that was so adorable! Jokes were spot on in this one, clever plot, and nice message. Laughed pretty hard at Fluttershy getting small and saying "could I please have a tiny little hug" freaken adorable and the "rejection!, noice." was pretty funny too I thought. Then Applejack's part right after was funny too.
So yea, pretty happy. Tho I did take an issue with RD leaving her trophy which doesn't seem like something she'd do. Also her friends were giving her a little too many compliments that it felt kinda weird, but not really cuz RD was being somewhat grateful. And I think the chibi style is cute but I hate the backgrounds, not nice to look at, at all.
