@Kyoshi I didn't say "didn't". I said "does", as in currently. And no, @Califorum, it has and will exist again if we don't make sure to snuff it out when it appears.

I'm incredibly pissed at how my National Guard bros and sisters are being disrespected in DC right now. It's not enough that they've been deployed and uprooted to DC. It's not enough that they're being told that fellow Americans are the enemy. It's not enough that they were subjected to racist 'background checks'. Now they're forced to sleep in freezing parking garages. Governor of Florida was right, bring them home, and maybe take some legal action.

You mean that thing that was a colossal failure but wasn't the violent nightmare Fox News was caught lying making it out to be until Proud Boys and other people completely unrelated to the protests got involved?
It was as bad as they'd have you believe. I live in JBLM, not far from Seattle. The smoke was visible daily. You could hear gunfire at night. Don't @ me until you've been in a situation like that.

They'd all would have been fucking dead the moment they made it to the lawn
For a serious response though. Ever hear of CHAZ? That "little" thing that happened in Seattle? Where were the Guardsmen? Where was the mobilization of 25,000 troops?
Oh right. It was BLM-related, and they had cover from the governor and mayor. Understandable, have a nice day.

And let's not forget that the media likes to paint Trump supporters in the same manner you said I'm painting BLM activists. Disgusting.
However, the main point of this post was to talk about the National Guard troops, and we've gone on quite a tangent right now, so I'd like to move the discussion back over to them.

Agreed, the Capitol riot shouldn't have happened. But that doesn't excuse the fact that DC is absolutely failing the troops right now. If you aren't in the position to support 25,000 guardsmen, don't send for 25,000 guardsmen. Especially when the threat isn't terribly dangerous. Most of those rioters were unarmed, they were just pissed and wanted to be seen on camera.
Contrast this with the absence of National Guard action in Seattle. The governor and mayor allowed a terrorist organization to take over a huge chunk of the city for weeks, burn businesses, kill civilians, and they held back the National Guard response indefinitely.
I guess if the Capitol rioters had been holding BLM signs, they'd have been allowed to waltz into the Capitol with complimentary champagne, no?

@Nsxile 🔥🐲 Kyo can bitch about life whenever she feels like it. It's when she's bitching about life to me that I take issue with it. It costs nothing to say nothing to me, but it costs time and effort to formulate a reply that equates to a child throwing a tantrum.

@Kyoshi You're right, I'm sorry. Far be it from me to interrupt your daily routine of unsolicited bitching about life.

i have some "friends" that like my status updates on FB and pics, but when it comes to having a convo it like never goes anywhere (usually stop replying or are dry af) and I'm just like
"what do you want still?"
Usually just leads to me deleting them, sometimes they add me again, and I'll add them only to delete them once again when I realize it's gonna be the same thing.
This grinds my gears but also genuinely peeks my interest. Like what are these people thinking?

The CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) in Seattle is reportedly changing its name to CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupied Protest), possibly because trying to start a new country that's hostile to the US government this close to Fort Lewis is a real bad idea.
I've been to downtown Seattle a couple times. You can hear the attack helicopters on the daily.
