Favorite music genre, anyone?
I listen to a lot of different genres, but I'd have to say my favorite is Electro Swing. Makes me smile all the time.

Don't ever put yourself up to be above reproach. Always assume you could be completely wrong.

Me: Sorry I missed your call, I started jamming when my ringtone came on and forgot it was a call. ^^;
Friend: ... What's your ringtone?

Third night in a row that I've caught less than 4 hours of sleep. I just can't seem to shut my brain off and relax, every time I try to sleep I get all caught up in my thoughts.

I'm craving a really good bowl of instant noodles for some reason. Dunno why. I haven't had a good bowl of instant noodles since December or something.
Anyone else have weird cravings?

Anyone else a complete wuss when it comes to spicy food? I feel like I can breathe fire after eating this Korean BBQ chicken. >.>

Self-Insert characters. One of my pet peeves, because literally any criticism I can level against them will be treated as a personal attack to the author, and I have to back down or be labeled as a cyber bully. -.-
-
The kinds of people who are like this think that they are perfect in every way, so their self-inserts should be perfect as well, which is why they don’t take kindly to criticism, no matter how constructive.
My character used to be a self-insert, until I realized how Mary Sue it was, so I reworked him to the one you see, Kronos. Unlike my previous OC, who was an all-powerful deity, my current OC, Kronos, is a mixture of my ideals and my reality. He has ambitions that he’s aspired to, but he still has struggled that are similar to what I’m dealing with IRL. That is how you make a good self-insert character. Put your aspects of your reality into this character and give them a mix of your reality and your ambition. And who knows, if made this way, your OC could become an inspiration for you to strive for something greater than who you are right now.

Well, I'm in the Army, so it's my job to deal with Army equipment. xD
But yeah, I can see what you're getting at. I guess most people think Army stuff is really cool when they're not surrounded by it. I'm no longer wowed by Apaches and Blackhawks, because I see them every day (and they're annoying). Abrams are old news, as are Bradleys and Strykers.
I still like M777's though. Big guns go boom. x3

Recently finished my playthrough of Star Control: Origins. It's been on my watchlist for a while now, and it was a blast and a half. Totally recommend it to anyone interested in retro space games. :3

I dunno guys. It's pretty hard for me to want to stay here on the forums now. I don't watch the show anymore, most of my close friends from here have moved on, and it's incredibly hard for me to meet new people..
There's nothing here for me anymore, only faded memories and shattered friendships.

There's a helipad next to my barracks that Black Hawks like to land at, but this morning a Chinook landed there, and it shook the whole building. >.>;

Easter was today. A Sergeant from another troop made us cupcakes. -3-

Nine hours yesterday, eleven today. I'm mentally preparing myself for tomorrow's thirteen-hour shift.

Weird, but after a short chat with my friend @Summer Breeze (she doesn't log in anymore so I can mention her here x3), I've been in this weird nostalgic trance for the last few hours. I've been pouring through my old PM's, both here and on other forums, reading what old friends said to younger me, and seeing how I reacted when I was less mature.
I could write an essay on what I discovered, but... well, this is a status update. I'm just glad that there were so many great people in my life to help me through the rough times. I'll name a couple for now... my good friend Robin, @Jaxsie (Inactive) who I miss very much, @CinnamonPop, @VinylWubs, and @Summer Breeze again.
Thank you all so much, even though we aren't the same people anymore.

And hey, this doesn't discount any of my current friends either, so... don't feel bad @Lucky Bolt,@Kronos the Revenant, and @SkyPie (and others)

So, is stuff just supposed to happen in life? If not, how does everyone come up with something interesting for their status updates?
I guess that's just a weird way of saying that nothing interesting is happening.
