However, I think it is a needed truth. Men only tend to see us at our bests, because that is when we let them. Enhancing your breast size is like wearing makeup. (Not referring to the bronzer/couture tanning trick), but we like to enhance our features to making them more appealing to others or sometimes just for ourselves to feel good. True Story; When I was first with my ex boyfriend, I used to always wake before him so I could get ready and look perfect for him in the mornings. It's such a cliche thing for females to do, and I am ashamed to say that I too used to do so. It was only when I woke to find him watching me sleep, and he said something really nice, that it knocked some sense into me. The problem I am finding with the Internet so far, as well as studying fashion; As you said, you would not believe the lengths girls go to just to change themselves/their bodies/faces, etcetera. And I think it is sad. In saying that, it has made me feel ugly myself. And it leads to a whole self doubt when I show others pictures of me. I want to look better in them. My ex was a photographer, and the amount of pictures I wouldn't let him use and literally deleted was unreal. And even when I was satisfied with some at the time; I have the ability to pick out my every flaw if I look at my pictures, or even in the mirror. And then I think others must see these, too, and panic over it. So I understand the pressure completely. Due to these airbrushed models and the ability to enhance things with technology, men see these images as what women should look like, and even females themselves get disheartened when they cannot live up to the images they are faced with. Thus causing the reaction of wanting to change ourselves to fit in with the ideal vision of beauty. I enjoy wearing makeup, but now, it's only because I enjoy doing it, and for me personally. I don't see the point in the tricks you have mentioned anymore, and if you are going to find someone that loves you, then you want them to love them for you. And as for men with these unrealistic ideals; Set your standards too high, and you will just end up alone - Fantasizing over the images of what you class as beauty. TL;DR? Be yourself!x If you want someone love you, let them love you for who you are. Inside and out. And only improve yourself for yourself.

As for near kisses, I don't recall ever having one like that. I've had awkward kisses before (especially my first kiss where the boy couldn't kiss to save his life, and I probably wasn't all that great then either), normal and intimate kisses, but none a near miss ones. Actually, I have turned my head away from a kiss before, does this count...? I will say, though, that I agree it is about confidence, and also about timing. Having too much confidence with it can be bad, too, though. Because you might find the girl/guy will turn away if you do so abruptly and out of nowhere. It has to be a moment where you both are comfortable with it, and it's natural. From a girls viewpoint here, we will usually indicate when we want to be kissed. If you lean in towards her and she moves back or turns her head away do not keep going. It's obvious she is awkward, and it might just be due to pure embarrassment rather than her not wanting it. Apologize and see what she says, and give her time to approach you for a kiss afterwards. Timing, sometimes some things happen that can ruin the moment, but it doesn't mean it is gone forever. If the moment does pass, don't try to get it back as it will only make it much more awkward. Just let things unfold in their own time, and if you never do get that moment again, then it wasn't meant to be with that person. But this shouldn't make you feel bad about it!x

He is very talented with writing, he never fails to make me laugh, stands up for what he believes in, is modest, keeps working towards his dreams, is so interesting and spectacular to speak with and I find it cute how he is too scared to play certain games with me in fear of being beaten by a girl that would kick his bum due to him being so old!x Shankveld: Despite getting off on the wrong hoof with this fabulous fellow pegasister, I love her. She is excellent at giving advice, kind-hearted, witty, and she isn't afraid to state what she thinks, no matter how many feathers it might ruffle. I admire her greatly!x DrOphthalmos: Thank god there is this doctor in the house. Or rather on this Forum. While I do see your point about how horrid it would be if everyone decided to not use it, I don't think penalizing someone and their intelligence because of it is right at all. People tend to learn such things at their own pace. And there have been many that were classed as book-dumb or illiterate throughout history, and these people have made major changes as to how the world looks at things now. Albert Einstein being a great example in my opinion. And, well that's his choice. I still find it very incompetent to do so, and replying how you did is far more honorable. A true debater will respond to all counters of their case, no matter how insignificant they find the counter claim to be. Plus, I truly think you are awesome. As I said, I have read some of your posts before, and also your profile, and I love your outlook on things, and you and your mind interest me greatly. Illogical hugs? No such thing! Even via the Internet, hugs travel faster than words. Okay, that might have been a small lie, but hugs are good. :3
