Umm, I really like your fan fiction but, if you watch the episode Hearths Warming Eve, it says the three leaders (sorry, I forgot their names) found Equestria, and the queen becomes evil?

Yes, I am aware of that- it's my headcannon, as I have mentionned earlier in this thread.

That sums it up nicely. She looks very stallion-ish to me.

The body is fairly muscular, especially around the upper half area as well as the stomach/torso, which gives her a bit of a bodybuilder physique.

Well I do base my anatomy off of real life horses, and they tend to have pretty thick legs ! Here's one of the references I used for her-

  3. Hello ! I recently remade an old drawing from 2015 and I would love to have some critiques so I can improve my art even more! I know I'll never be a renaissance painter but I'm really proud of how it turned out, still I feel it can be improved.

I know I messed up on Sombra's back legs :ximage.thumb.png.f762f135598d1f8e2d8edfc9ea1ee239.png

  4.   Oh yeth. I really do find your work to be most exemplary, Mr. Dagger.

You somehow put so much more presence into your ponies. That they are more than just cartoon characters crafted out of shapes put ontop of other shapes as what most fanwork or even the show is like. I can see actual musculature, that little stylistic pooch outward as the leg bends inward towards the hoof, a subtle turn of a head, tiny little trifling details like tiny tufts of fur or itty-bitty bows or jewelry. It's honest to Glod effort, actual, unmitigated art! They aren't just characters, you outright draw them like one of your french ponies-  *Thwack!*  -like how actual sentient animals would be shaped!

Though, to balance out my gooshing, it does seem like these examples might be a bit older than my later viewing of your work on your OC. This style is rather stylistically skinny & doesn't fit too well on some of the ponies. Take Pinkie for example, her character fits the cartoony, bouncy, fluffy show-style better & your way makes Fluttershy look a bit too frail. (Which.... she really kind of is.) But it does work better on unicorns, the more nimble frame of Rainbow Dash or the more heavily muscled frame of Applejack.

It's really quite heartening how much effort I can tell you put into it. Aaand also equal parts disheartening when I consider your likely half my age. /pout

On an unrelated note! My neurotic-ism really makes me want to chew those sharp edges off your OC's horn. Really has that bad-hangnail-look to it, lol! And yes, before any of you ask, my nails are in some pretty bad shape!

Hah! Shows what you know! I don't value my eyeballs! Challenge Accepted!

Hum... Thanks for all that complimenting and critiques??? I wasn't having a good day at all but you just saved my soul ! Thank you so much, I wish you a wonderful day <3

  5. The coloring is a bit messy, you seem to work with some kind of watercolor/watercolor pencils. I advise you to use smaller brushes or be more careful when using them.

You should try to practice and study more pony/equine anatomy, because the front leg is too thick or the joints are "broken" (cf: the back leg).

The head design is really good tho, you should just work more on the body anatomy and coloring !

  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parthenogenesis

My theory is partheogenesis. She just lays eggs because she's a Queen. All is kinda explained in the "insect" section, that's kinda how I see this changeling situation

-"B-but Fullmoon, Chrysalis is gone and the changelins are refor-"

-"Shhhhh. This doesn't exist. It's only an illusion. Changelins are still changelings. Chrysalis is still here. It's all a lie. They'll come back."
