  1. first day new part time job - golf course maintenance. At 32, probably the youngest non-wait staff employee.

      Golf is always fun.

Congrats on the new job! I hope it's one you enjoy. :)

Congrats! I'm starting my new Job next monday, so I can empathize with your excitement.

  2. I'm pleased with it being the $20 and Andrew Jackson, as they originally were going to replace Hamilton (!) Which made zero sense, considering he was, I don't know, first Secretary of the Treasury! That would have made me a little pissed to be honest. I like their plan for new portraiture on the back, plus keeping Jackson on the back if the twenty is fine too. Harriet Tubman is a very good choice for first woman to be main bill portrait.
  3. I'm sorry that happened. I hope you feel better.
  4. Ronald Reagan! The actor! Unfortunately, Jerry Lewis was not the vice-president.
  5. In The Banned Game: 10/10 elsewhere, 1.75/10
  6. I concur with that you said. The end of Past Is Not Today was kind of symbolic, but her real transformation was at end of Friendship Games. Is she really an alicorn though? Will she be one if she goes through the portal? One rebuttal to note: when watching the director commentary of Friendship Games, someone on the panel, I forget who, said something along the lines of Sunset only having energy wings and not real wings like Twilight is "because she's not an alicorn."
  7. True - that's one of the other options we've (wife and I) been considering. Investing rather than straight up being the sole owners is something that I'd be down with.
  8. Any chance that it's some original new character and not a pick from the stable of baddies we're hoping for?
  9. Enough ponycrastinatin' - time to take on Wednesday!

Give Wednesday everything you've got! I need to stop my procrastination too.

  10. I feel this is pretty broad - and a lot of old arcade games I think have aged well, whereas some have not. Also, I've never been one to enjoy the home ports, even if they're perfect, because I feel standing at an arcade machine gives you an experiential level of gameplay that you cannot replicate at home. Look at how popular arcade-bars are (google "Barcade" in New York....and if any of you plan to open one in central Texas, I'm going to voodoo curse you because that's my plan!). Ms. Pac-Man is #1, and I still love playing it and cannot pass them up while in bars, airports, whereever they may be. Galaga has gotten a little stale. Dig Dug I never enjoyed. I love Tapper though...especially if you can find the original Budweiser version. And now that's a port I enjoy as well. And these games were hardly cheap - they cost hundreds to thousands of dollars back in the 80s...which you recoup 25 cents at a time. My dad also bought and flipped some back in the day, so I actually had a couple Ms. Pac Man machines IN MY HOUSE back in 1989 or so.
  11. HOW COULD YOU!? On topic response: I think they helmets are ornamental/traditional and awesome looking. I think it's more important, from an audience standpoint to have good aesthetics than to shout out "look how practical this design is!"
  12. after my car was discovered to have dry rot tires, negotiated a set of Michelins down to $500 incl tax after they offered them at $850. and I usually suck at negotiating!!

Yeah I do the same, for nice tires and stuff it can be really pricy for the nice new set.

  13. Banned for posting a pic of that eyepatch I stole from Twily.
  14. Nopony? FINE: Here she is in all of her glory! The Construction Worker Rarity Action Figure comes with fabulous hard hat & bow accessory: actual working light: unicorn magic and batteries not included.
  15. I don't know why, but some of the best coffee I've ever had was at Magnolia Pancake Haus in San Antonio, TX. My wife and I literally stayed and drank cup after cup after cup of coffee B.S.ing about an hour after we finished our meal last time we were there.
  16. It's the one fanship that I don't send out my "sink all ships, all canons fire" order of disdain. (The other being MarbleMac, but that's semi-canonical, if not outright so.)
  17. Not on forums, no. As an actor though, my ugly mug and name is all over the freakin' place, and that's just for promotional material (headshots, etc.), and I don't ever get cast in anything. Plus facebook.
  18. The Dragon Lord is dead, long live the Dragon Lord! 10,000 huzzahs for Dragon Lord Ember!
  19. It's the crossover event we've all been waiting for! Sunset Glimmer & Starlight Shimmer meet at last! That's what I'm calling....and yes I did the name swap on purpose.
  20. Best Spike episode ever + great new voice actor in Madame Dragon Lord + Rarity's hard hat makes me very happy. A+++
  21. How about that Rarity-fied hard hat with the bow? I'm surprised there's been no picture posted yet here.
