  1. Scotch. Homemade eggnog. http://altonbrown.com/eggnog-recipe/ Hot cocoa (build from unsweetened cocoa powder) Blended iced coffee drinks (yeah, really). By mid-December I'm cidered out.
  2. I have a Blue Yeti. It's fantastic, USB mic that was a tad over $100.
  3. That boiled down what I had to say in one sentence. You win.
  4. Yes. Of course. Sorry if I didn't give other shows enough credit.
  5. I'd be all for a cartridge based system...... .... .... ..........from Nintendo.
  6. What the above have said. It's a family oriented show, with smart writing, fantastic songs, brilliant acting. There's enough pop culture references to entertain children of all ages (meaning adults), all while retaining the spirit and truth that speaks to both very young children and full grown adults alike. Do I ever forget that at its core is a show about talking ponies, in bright colors, with merchandise gears to mostly young girls? I can't forget this, as I have one that loves the show; but out of all the children's programming out there, this is far away my favorite. It could have just been a silly little cutesy show for girls, but the talent of the staff pushes it beyond that. If the show was just pure and simple an entertaining show for young girls, and they left it at that, without the talent and drive behind it, there would not be the community and adult following. You don't see this kind of adult following for Sofia The First (checks before posting).
  7. Woot. woot. That Clippers/Spurs game was one of the few I got to watch, and what a nail biter ending. I'm glad that the Donald Sterling drama is over for the Clippers. I never took much interest in them, but it's great to see them become the dominant LA team over the Lakers, whom I can't stand. By the way, what do you think of the whole Golden State Warriors wins? Specifically, the interim coach while Steve Kerr is out is not going to get credited with ANY of the 26 plus wins, because of some NBA rule, plus it's Kerr's playbook or whatever.
  8. Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. Minions. Seriously what kids' movie advertises with bare ass on regular television? Twilight. Anything with the Jackass cast in it.
  9. I was victorious in a battle against my ex-employer that lasted 4 years. Plus a family friend gave my daughter a Rainbow Dash doll, and we figured "oh, we should put on the show and see if she likes it"......
  10. I swear Duncan could play another 5 years if he wanted to. I'm from San Antonio, so you could only imagine the journey of being a losing team to a debatable dynasty and moving to two venues in less than 20 years because of him (plus Coach Pop, Ginobili and Parker of course). Growing up it was Robinson and Eliot, plus ridonkulous Dennis Rodman BRIEFLY, which is a personality that's like the antithesis to the Spurs dynamic. Speaking of Lebron, I don't know if I dislike him as much as I dislike the cult of Lebron. Plus the constant comparisons to Jordan. Funny though, because MJ always smack talked, was arrogant, and had a great game, but was nearly universally lovable. I wonder why. He's gotten better though...he's at least more humble than, say, Tiger Woods.
  11. Favorite team: The San Antonio Spurs. I could watch Old Man Riverwalk and boring fundamentals every day. Unfortunately, I only see them when nationally televised, and I just can't get into watching the Knicks or Nets.
  12. Here's what I did to break my fingernail habit...I got a manicure*. On my wedding day, because my bride-to-be didn't want to see gangly ragged nails in our wedding photos. After I had the one and only, for some reason, the clean line clicked and I didn't bite them anymore**. *see: hooficure **Results not typical.
  13. Flutters: Putting Your Hoof Down. Great to see such range. Also Hurricane Fluttershy for a training montage on par with Rocky. Rare-bear: Rarity Investigates. I'm obsessed with film noire, and joining that with the femme fatale with the mid-atlantic accent just made me squirm with delight. AJ: Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000. Twily: It's About Time. The episode that hooked me on the series back in March. I've watched it probably 5 times now. Pinkamena: The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows. Dashy: Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3. Hooray for differentiated instruction. M.Ed. approved. It's tough, because the emsemble as a whole is always incredible.
  14. Procrastinator and compulsive snacker. They're usually tied together too...and when I'm really busy and focused, I can go straight through the day without eating. But those days are too few and far between. EDIT: Procrastinating like reading this pony forum instead of doing work...
  15. Hi everypony. This is my first post. Well, I'm an adult, in my 30s, and I feel awful that I used to think bronys were weird less than a year ago. Then my daughter watched the show for the first time when the season started, and I watched too...and I've been hooked since. My wife thinks I like it a little too much...but she doesn't want to miss any new episodes either, so that's been great. Just yesterday she said "my daughter's obsessed with My Little Pony, my husband's obsessed with My Little Pony. I'm surrounded." In a playful way. On to the parents thing. I mentioned how I love the show as much as my daughter does to my own parents, and they both made fun of me. One even said "I wouldn't say that out loud in public if I were you." It sucks that you can be an adult and have a life of your own, and even then you can be criticized just for liking something...even if it's as amazing as MLP:FIM. Anyway, thanks for listening and having such a wonderful community.
