  Especially with the fact that of the tabletop wargames, 40k has already dropped massively in popularity, with many players turning to other wargames.
  
  If the universe were not so tied into the game, the universe might be more popular, but it could never reach Star Wars levels.

  Hehe, yea, pretty much every weapon in W40k is way too brutal for it to ever be as friendly as W40k. Not even minding the more deeper aspects of it, though in the video game world it is getting increasingly popular and with games like Eternal Crusade, Deathwing, Battlefleet Gothic, and TW: Warhammer(Not 40k, but it is close enough) it may reach a much higher popularity.
