yeah I know but how don't you see when a student is unhappy for a long time. It wouldn't even suprise me if she already told the teachers and they did nothing (or a bad punishment like in my old school where we had to shake hands and then everything would be solved).

It's hard to tell in this case without all the evidence. I try to give teachers benefit of the doubt (because I'm biased), but you never know. There's some awful teachers out there who are told and don't do anything. If I noticed a particular student unhappy, I would (a) ask them about it, ( mention it to a counselor, and © call up the parent and let them know what's going on. If I don't see evidence of bullying, or no one tells me anything, that's all I can do...

...plus also see if there's any signs of parental abuse and report it to the proper authorities if that's the case.
