  1. Haven't seen her yet, but I'll take a look. Let's see if youtube has any clips...
  2. I'd get a rainbow or Twilight one, once I move into my new place. Gotta have the space for it first.
  3. *walks in dressed like Halloween Homestar Runner* I like mine in the heart of a scary vammmmpiyah!!! *throws his hooves up in a "BOO" fashion* *Background pony taps him* BP: *whisper hiss* Psst! They meant the entree! Trin: Huh? Oh. Um, medium-well. I like medium-well. And not too much pepper.
  4. *checks out six-winged Twilight, puts hoof to chin like an art gallery patron* Mega-pegasus for Reindeer? As for "angel", maybe the word or its spoken Equestrian equivalent only exists as an adjective in this quantum reality. If Tartarus is canon, i.e., where bad ponies go, it follows then that there is probably an unaforementioned Elysium where good ponies go, and the rest of the "religion that intersects with physical reality" most likely has more Hellenic than Abrahamic elements. As always, not speaking for Hasbro here, this is just hypothetical extrapolation on my part.
  5. Mine would probably trade his synth for a screamo guitar, go on tour with Puddle of Mudd, and start spouting off Cynicist propaganda onstage. "A fuddy-duddy web is a righteous web, komrade!"
  6. You sound familiar somehow...were you ever a regular on the SomethingAwful forums?
  7. It continues to amaze me how the people who run one of the world's happiest countries can be such rumpholes. (happy as in prosperous and pleasant to live in, as opposed to certain others, I mean.) Speaking as a Pagan, though, I take comfort in knowing that real-life magic is one thing the world's wealthy will never be able to keep all for themselves or control, no matter how much money they pour into the project.
  8. I wanna be a quadsuit pony and run around in the park!! Though if some whiny kid jumps on my back and gets snot on my hide, he's getting bucked off right into the duck pond.
  9. Thunderlane is hot, so is Royal Riff. Midnight Star(nm?) too. Male here and would totally go for black coated stallions. And I'm actually Bi for Braeburn.
  10. @Lambdadelta Yikes. Can't get much more unpopular than that. Let's see... - The opening theme could use some variations and remixes, like they've done with the end theme. Unpopular with the writers and mixers, at least. - I find Applejack very relatable, but not modern country music or its fanbase. - I kinda miss the Golden Oak Library, it had a nice homey feel. If I walked around in that Crystal Palace I'd feel more out of place than Fred Durst at a Sailor Moon dead circus cosplay convention.
  11. "Party of One" and "Lesson Zero" shouldn't have been made the way they were; they may have been intended for comedic effect but it just gave the GDs and haters more shock-fuel to use. Luckily, full-on animation takes a lot of work, imagine how bad it would've gotten out there if making animation were as easy as writing fanfics...*shudder* Yeah, Hasbro needs to tone down the pink packaging and hyping the girly side of things; an auxiliary male Mane 4 wouldn't be bad, just don't give them buzzcuts, tattoos, stubble, and cigars. The voices and head-shapes distinguish genders enough already. A gender-ambiguous or androgynous character could be fun, at least for one episode. And I think Celestia is awesome. Bring on Prince Cosmos! *shrug, grin* Hey, the title said "unpopular opinions". Just being honest.
  12. If they tried, only a small few Humans would make it and the project would only be marginally successful. Yes, there are people loyal, honest, kind, fun-loving, and even magical enough to achieve this; I've met them, they do exist, in spite of what the Cynics' Army says, but after the project's completion the ponies would have to either take the converted Humans home with them OR give them a new place to live, inaccessible to all the people on Earth who would then try to control, enslave, or destroy both new parties. Even then, safeguards would be necessary among those who sought a new way, to prevent regression... Friendship is easy to ruin, takes time to build, and dedication to strengthen. Our existence can be better, but it isn't as easy as it looks on TV.
  13. Twilight is second huggiest pony. Just don't get poked by the horn.
  14. Liking it, but too little time was left for the actual game action. *sigh* Same thing they did wrong in the Equestria Games episode. I agree with this moral; high-pressure motivation does NOT work for everypony, myself included. This is a good-ep streak though; I don't even remember off-hoof what the last really bad episode was. And I know I'm going to get so many random virtual objects thrown at me for saying this, but...am I the only one who thinks Sports-Pinky is sexy as hill for some reason?
  15. I do that too sometimes in my mind; I can audialize an actress's voice as a character's as well as visualizing movement, like making a flash animation in my head. I imagined Nicole Oliver's for Marigold myself, too bad my brain's got no usb port.
  16. Many thanks, Guard Jeric *bow of respect* and I'm glad to to hear our community leaders found some enjoyment here as well. I just recently returned to the boards after a short sabbatical to work on my novel; sometimes I can get a bit rusty on socializing and something I post may be misunderstood by some. Apologies to any who heard it the wrong way, no troublemaking was intended.
  17. So, last Sunday I took a stroll through a park gazebo and did something I haven't done in close to a decade-and-a-half; I took a look at today's newspaper comics. Yep, you read that right, an actual physical-print newspaper, just like our parents read back in the 20th century. Most of the stuff that's been there since ancient Egypt is still running; Garfield, Peanuts, Beetle Bailey, *yawn*, but then I saw something I NEVER expected here. There's a new comic featuring a talking unicorn as a regular character, and it's actually a good laugh! Think "Calvin and Hobbes" in an alternate reality, but gender-swapped and not as mean-spirited. Though it really caught my eye because this the LAST place I'd expect to find something this pony-ish in realspace. Linkage: http://www.gocomics.com/phoebe-and-her-unicorn/ Just figured I'd share it with those who may be interested, since it brightened up an otherwise dull day for me. Let me know what you think, Trin
  18. They could show her coping with disability for a while, but I vote for her overcoming it and flying under her own power eventually. Good lesson for kids; sometimes disability and setbacks CAN be overcome in some cases, though not all of them.
  19. Don't stand behind one, and don't get close to one or try to climb on their back unless they know you and trust you well. Let them sniff your hand first, talk nice to them, learn the language, give 'em treats and don't play rough. If a pony has a mean reputation, especially a stallion, stay away from him and let the pros handle it. That's all I know so far.
  20. Totally. When you work with your hands you gotta keep your moneymakers in shape. Bulk Biceps's got nothin' on me, & I work out old-school with only a pull-up bar and weighted bag.
  21. Wow. I was expecting him to be more slacker/dudebro-ish, but he was more like a lazier, ne'er-do-wellish version of my old massage teacher. Sad part is, I worked hard and graduated with a degree, only to discover most spas don't hire big brunette males with deep voices to do that. *sigh* I hate corporations in this country. To a VERY limited extent, I can sympathize with his position, but the guy made mistakes I WOULD NEVER have made. You have to want to do the work first to be successful. Rainbow's interactions were the funniest part; I've seen guys with even bigger hangups than him try to hit on the ladies, and yeah, not surprisingly sparks did not fly. He could make it with some mare after LOTS of working on himself, but one thing's for sure: He's no Soarin. My rate: A bit better than the last, it revealed new stuff. Epic Link pony could help Twilight fight the next big bad. 8 out of 10.
  22. I thought "Say" by One Republic was fairly deep. Heard it on the radio in the 90s, for the longest time I couldn't find the artist or title.
  23. I'm wondering if some of them ran across the dark side of the fandom unprepared and got freaked out. I was at first, but these days I just try not to think about it. It's the magic of the light side that keeps me about, a reminder that even in Humanity's most dismal states...there is, something else...
