I also still have a record player. *shrug* Some music should just be experienced on vinyl. You have to dedicate time to listen to a full actual album, no skipping around to "the best parts". You have to take it as a whole.

Well, for some things, that makes sense. Classical music is a good case in point.

However, MY experience with record players was crappy 70s and 80s pop music on LPs.

it is a different feeling entirely i admit, having a copy in your hand and going through it like so. i mostly do it because i find it more enticing owning music in a physical copy than having it as a digital folder on your computer. once again, not to say i don't obtain digital music, anyway, which i certainly do, but i see no reason to restrict my music love to one medium, especially since the physical copies are far more nicer to own.
