  1. It's funny when people think that 2 ram sticks have to be the same capacity in order for them to work. For the last 2 years, my PC was running strong off of 3 2gb sticks and 1 4gb stick (10gb ram total). But now I'm at 14gb of ram. Just one more stick to upgrade and I'll be at 16! :D

      Depends on how it is configured. some motherboards are faster if all the sticks are the same size (then it can stripe writes across the bank, rather than mapping them sequentially). Some aren't.

      Meh. Only posting this because when I told my friend that I upgraded some of my ram sticks, he criticized me because "they aren't the same capacity" and asked me how a motherboard is able to run off of sticks with both different capacities. Then again, all my ram sticks are the same exact speed, but only one has a different capacity than the rest.
