  1. But all these shows have a different feel. Also, remember Tanks for the memories? It was supposed to be an episode about death, but the guys at DHX got cold feet and changed the script, because they thought it was too mature. That's why i can't see it happen.

That's different. That's about death, not old age specifically. Dexter's Lab or Ed, Edd n Eddy never really dealt with death either. They however did tackle the theme of growing up and getting old. I see no reason MLP couldn't do that too.

  2. While it's a nice idea, i don't see it really happening. It's one of those things like death, that you really need to be careful how you pull them off and i don't think the guys at DHX (who i respect BTW) don't really have it to do it.

All different shows with a different demographic and a different age group in mind. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

So you mean to say Dexter's and Ed, Edd n Eddy can do that but it's too mature for MLP? Come on man, that's just absurd. Last time I checked all the shows mentioned are G rated. And MLP is intended for families not just little girls.

  3. Uh, yeah. I have aspergers. It feels like someone is holding a sword to your throat, so you're scared to really say or do anything. You don't want to let your real thoughts out because you don't want to risk embarrassment.

  4. No way!The Sheriff is technically an adult, even though he doesn't look like one. Plus, do you REALLY think AJ would date someone with a mustache? Braeburn doesn't work either because dating your cousin is just weird, AND I just watched Over a Barrel, and he seemed way too hyped up over his hometown:

    "AAAA-PA-LOOSA!!

Really? I know that's where you're from, but when you showed the Mane 6 all the "sights", you were too excited doing it.

    Applejack is a young adult.

  5. I don't usually like pooping on other people's OCs, but a few things are a no no for me when making original characters:

    • Unappealing Colour Design - Using colours that don't mesh well together, using harsh colours like deep red. MLP characters typically have colour palettes that work well together, and of lighter tone. A good rule of hoof is NEVER use black or red, and if you have to, use dark grey instead of black and a lighter tone of red... 0 Hue full saturation red looks awful.
    • Mary Sue - Really talented, No flaws, extraordinarily nice, everyone wants to be her boyfriend/girlfriend, etc... makes for a very dull character, although its kinda funny when done in jest.
    • Forced relation with main characters - She's Rainbow Dashes long lost sister! ... Not only is it kind of a groaner, but its just unbelievable. It's not much better when you put them in romantic relationships with the mane 6, either.
      And worst of all...
    • Recolor of an Existing Character - If you have to use an existing character's hair, at least try to add other stuff to help differentiate it.
  6. I think Applejack,Twilight, and Fluttershy would make the best parents. Twilight because she basically is a parent to Spike. Applejack because of her responsible nature, and how she is basically Applebloom's mom, and Fluttershy for the reasons you stated. I know somebody who is a mix of Fluttershy and Applejack put together and they are a great parent. Rarity could learn to be a good parent as could the other 2 but it would take them longer to get used to being parents and they would have to become more responsible first.

Applejack is headstrong, responsible and dependable. Fluttershy is kind, compassionate and affectionate. Put the two together and you make a very good parent, I agree, not that either on their own wouldn't be great.

Yeah, probably Applejack. Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie would be OK parents. Twilight needs to learn to control her stress and Rainbow Dash... ehhh...

Rarity in the Dutch Dubbed MLP sounds like a MIL-- I mean she sounds like she could already be a mom >.>

    Lol... She does.

Rainbow Dash is great with kids (baby rescuer and coach) and little sisters (Scootalove).  I've always thought she'd be a fun but protective mother who would encourage and believe in any child she had; and obviously be there to catch them should they fall.

And I don't like this "best mother" business.  It isn't something really (much less conclusively) measurable, and, should you ask the prospective filly or colt of any Mane Six, I'd think it likely that they'd say, "My mom."  Bias can be beautiful.

You make a good argument for Rainbow Dash. She's definitely good with children. She's matured over the seasons.

I don't necessarily agree with your second point. I think all of them would make good mothers, but some one could be better at raising a child than the others.

    Also, added a poll.

  7. The season 6 premiere got me thinking about this. When Shining Armour talks about how stressful it can be being a father, Fluttershy replied "I could only imagine what it's like". And I instantly thought Fluttershy would make a great mother, she's nurturing, compassionate and gentle with her animals, so I'd assume she'd be the same with a baby. However she might struggle with setting boundaries or disciplining the child, given her tendency to shy away from conflict, or she might even spoil the baby and ignore bad behaviour. At worst, her child might act like Angel Bunny in "Putting Your Hoof Down". This is where a strong father figure could come in and be the Yin to Fluttershy's Yang (*cough* Big Macintosh *cough*).

Applejack is also warm and compassionate, but I'd see her being more of a stern parent than Fluttershy, but not too much so that she would be too strict or Celestia forbid, abusive. She might be an even better mother than Fluttershy. However I disagree with the way she handled Babs Seed's bullying of the CMC. She got away with no punishment, and many fans think Babs Seed was a karma houdini, which I think so to.

    What do you think, guys?

  8. Tries not to cry....cries a lot

Thank you random user! yah made my day  ^_^

Now then....to stay on topic I'll edit my old post here.

    Attractiveness: 4.5/10

    I gave myself a .5 bonus

    Intelligence:  8.5/10

added a .5 bonus because I got in the 85th percentile in the National medical admissions test. Which is not too bad I guess

    Kindness:2/10

Same as before, While I don't actively seek to hurt people , physically or emotionally, I don't attempt to save people either nor do I care to help people unless asked.  I don't really consider myself a good or kind person but I think I'm improving a little. :yay:

That's ok, just don't like to see people put themselves down. And I mean it.
