  1. It's actually like Microsoft cares about their consumers for once. Let's hope Sony gets the memo and implements a refund system for the PS4 as well.
  2. I would say Superman 64. I remember renting it several times in a row because I just didn't understand why I was finding the game so difficult. I was only like 10 and I kept wondering if I was just bad at games. That's when I realized that I wasn't bad at the game, it was the game that was bad. So yeah, even though there may be worse games out there, Superman 64 taught me that games could be bad sometimes. So it gets my worst game ever.
  3. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor's final boss battle. Shadow of Mordor is a fantastic blend of Assassin's Creed movement and Batman Arkham's fighting, with a fleshed out progression system. You spend the whole game unlocking bigger and badasser combat skills all leading up to this final boss battle with Sauron himself. And then you get there and it's a quick time event! You don't actually get to fight him, you press three buttons as you watch a cutscene of him being fought and defeated. Seriously disappointing!
  4. Nostalgia tells me The Rock will always be the greatest. I like some of the more modern wrestlers like Lesnar, Randy Orton, and even John Cena, but late 90s wrestlers will always be better in my mind.
  5. There's a local sandwich shop near me that's been open forever, and I'd have to say my favorite sandwich ever is their Bullet Hero. Spicy chicken, pepper jack cheese, bacon, and French fries, with a special in house sauce, on a toasted hero. Damn now I need to get one for lunch tomorrow.
  6. Like others, social drinking and the bar scene in general. Dark rooms, must so loud you can't hear your own friends, sticky floors, and shoulder to shoulder crowding. Yeah no thanks. Hanging on the porch with a cooler of beer and a card game? Now that's a summer Saturday night!
  7. I don't at all, and that's actually something I intend to improve on now that summer's here.
  8. I don't really trust Bandai Namco fighting games. I stayed away for years after their DBZ games started getting worse and worse. I gave them another shot with Xenoverse but that was so shallow that even the co-op failed to keep me playing. Burning Blood had some fantastic trailers, and as a One Piece fan I was excited as hell for the game. But with the Bandai Namco name and Xenoverse still fresh in my mind, I decided to wait for reviews. I'm glad I did, as you're echoing what I've heard from other sources. A shallow but good looking title that's relying on fan loyalty to sell instead of solid gameplay. I'll be passing on this one.
  9. X Gon' Give It To Ya by DMX. Not even for the joke, I legitimately love this song.
  10. It's hard to choose a top list. DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh, Gundam and Card Captor Sakura are my nostalgia favorites. Movies I love Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Paprika, and everything Ghibli. Modern stuff there is so much I can't choose, from Lucky Star to Gurren Lagann to Kami Nomi to Kill La Kill. This current season I've been watching Kiznaiver, Netoge, Hero Academia, and One Piece.
  11. You need to find out first if that MacBook has a multi-core processor. Many older games aren't built around that and this can cause a ton of compatibility issues regardless of what version of Windows you're running. I remember having a ton of issues getting Fallout 3 to run on PC because of this. If the game can't run because of that, it may be worth keeping the older laptop. Assuming you don't have those issues, then both Windows XP Home and Pro should work for you. I would go for pro for the power user options and security controls.
  12. I don't understand how many people complain about things they dislike about themselves, but do nothing to fix the issue. I remember being told a proverb once that says "If you're hungry, eat. If you're thirsty, drink." That always just made sense to me. If you have a problem, fix it. So when my friend complains about failing a test he knew was coming up and didn't study for, I don't understand why he's upset. You made the choice to go out drinking. I hope the beer was worth the F.
  13. If we're talking about opening cutscenes, Silent Hill 2 has a fantastic opening that really sets the tone for the entire game. Silent Hill 2 overall is a masterpiece. If we're talking opening sequences of actual gameplay, Mega Man X. It is an incredibly well designed tutorial that teaches you to play the game in an exciting and intuitive manner. I would recommend watching Egoraptor's Sequelitis on this for a better explanation.
  14. Alcohol. I find music is an easy way to improve my mood when I'm feeling down. Especially after a hard day of work, the best thing I can do is to put on some calm acoustic music on my drive home. I always end up feeling much better when I finally get home.
  15. I sort of agree. Some villains are worth redeeming and others are not. People like Gilda or Lighting Dust are in good positions for this, but Tirek and Sombra are not. Excluding the comic, we don't see much explanation on why these villains are the way they are. I would like an episode that would be not unlike the Batman comic "The Killing Joke". When Batman confronts the Joker, he offers him a chance at redemption and rehabilitation. The Joker contemplates accepting it in a rare moment of sanity, before turning him down. "It's too late for that". The Joker tells a joke exemplifying the insanity of it all. Both him and Batman laugh, while Batman chokes the Joker, presumably to death. Now I'm not saying I want to see Twilight choke Tirek out, but I would like to see her face him again. He would be defeated, and then show that he would never stop working against them. Twilight would reluctantly sentence him to Tartarus. It's a good lesson to teach that some people are just too far gone.
  16. I also went through a super embarrassing weeaboo phase. I was convinced Japan was the greatest country on earth, and changed my major to education. My grand plan was to move to Japan to teach English in High School. I was also convinced that Anime was the greatest art form ever made and no one respects it. Even though I was watching moeblob shows. I once went to a convention with friends who only really watched shows as kids like DBZ. I went on a rant that the old shows they enjoyed were "not REAL anime" and how they need to watch shows like Lucky Star. So yeah, I was a huge jerk. Nowadays I still enjoy anime frequently, but I don't have any of the delusions I had in my weeaboo phase.
  17. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas gathering I like to make a batch of coffee cake muffins. I've been making them for years, and really perfect the balance between white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. If we're talking entrees I also use a quick chicken marinade I found on instructables. One part oil, 2 parts soy sauce, and 4 parts Sprite Zero. The carbonation does wonders for tenderizing, and the lemon-lime mixes with the soy sauce for a kind of asian tropical fusion taste. I'll be using this marinade a lot now that barbeque season is upon us.
  18. Thank you both for the welcome!
  19. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Pinkie Pie How did you find MLP Forums?: Saw poniverse mentioned on reddit, and found the forums from there. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: YouTube, I watched Ponies the Anthology I, and decided to check the show out. 4+ years later and I'm still loving it. The name's StrayT3chman. I'm 26 years old, I work in IT, and I've been in this fandom since the start of season 2. I'm a huge fan of the show, my walls are covered in mlp posters, my shelves covered in mlp plushies, my boxes full of mlp comics, and my car full of mlp music. I'm big on PC gaming, and built my own PC to do it. Stats for the nerds: i7-6700K, GTX980Ti, 32GB DDR4. I'm also a fan of anime. I've been watching a few shows from the newest season, but my focus is on my goal to watch One Piece it it's entirety. Lastly I really enjoy a good novel or audio book, although I don't read as often as I should. Right now I'm actually reading Fallout Equestria during my lunch breaks at work. I'm joining the forums here to try and be social and meet people with similar interests, and try to force myself not to just lurk like I usually do. Here's to new friends!
