Totally Lyra

Yeah I saw that he posted something to do with Nyx recently. I haven't read it yet but I'll read it soon.  

He hasn't written many stories in the last few years so I guess that he's moved on from writing mlp fanfiction.

But it would be nice if he returned to the world. Maybe he could explore a time when Nyx is all grown-up (around the age twilight is during FiM.) I would really enjoy that lol.

But yeah I would love to read anything Nyx related. Part of the reason I've delayed reading all the Past Sins sequels is the fact that I don't want to forget Nyx. I don't want to get to the end of her saga. 

I guess that's why I also found The Last Problem (FIM) so emotional, I don't want to let go of characters that I've become attached to. I always want more. Part of me hopes that G5 fails and Hasbro comes back with a sequel to FIM (since it FIM made them a lot of merchandise revenue so it does add an incentive to bring it back).

I originally wanted to drag out reading Nyx stories as much as possible too. When I first read it, I tried to take it nice and slow to prolong it as much as possible... That clearly didn't work because I finished it within the week.  Then I ordered a physical copy and read it again, and have read/listened to it a couple more times since.  Something tells me I'll never have to worry about forgetting Nyx. So long as MLP holds a place in my heart, Nyx will be there too.

I think I have the unpopular opinion regarding the end of FiM. I'm looking forward to a new generation. G4 was getting a bit too busy. Too many characters to develop, too many stories to explore, too much everything going on. I like the idea of a fresh start, make things simple again. I will of course miss the current gen, but G5 could be good too if done right.

Yup, I'm definitely gonna read Past Sins again over the summer. I'll have enough time then to get thru it all. Its been a while since I've read Past Sins, yet I still remember Nyx, so I guess I won't forget her anytime soon.

While I do agree that there is a lot of characters, I do feel that the show focused way too much on the mane 6. I would have really loved to see minor characters (those who only appeared in one or two episodes) return a lot more often. Alas it didn't happen but yeah at the back of my mind, I'm hoping for a Gen 4 revival one day.

I have to say that part of the problem is that I don't really like the look of the new Pony Life show. It seems to be way more aimed at really young children. Seems too childish, seems like there would bevery simple lessons learned. and very few adventures beyond their home setting. Overall doesn't seem to embody the spark of FIM.

Of course it is way too early for me to judge, but I personally haven't taken a liking to G5. Plus the pony designs in Pony Life look a bit unnatural to me. I guess I've just got used to Gen4. I do hope Gen 5 proves me wrong tho. If its good, I'll enjoy it. I just don;t want my memories of the mane 6 tarnished.
