I fix computers, mostly hardware-related issues but sometimes dabbling in software. I also like to fool around with music-namely video game music, but I am not a skilled composer. And of course I watch MLP:FiM.

  1. This may seem like a ridiculous question, but it's plausible in my mind. It seems that everypony joined the herd in 2011, 2012, or 2013. Yet I wasn't open-minded enough to start watching the show until March of this year. (In any of those years, had you asked me if I would ever watch MLP, I would have been like "hell no." Times have really changed since then!) So, my question is, are there any others who became a brony this year, or am I the last one to hop aboard the decelerating fandom train? I apologize if this is in the wrong subforum, but since it indirectly regards MLP, I thought it would best fit here.
  2. I have mixed feelings about my wardrobe. I only have four pairs of jeans, so I have to wear the same pair a few days in a row. Thankfully, they're all very comfortable (spandex rules!) I wear shorts solely for phys ed class, because all I have are athletic-type shorts, whereas the more fashionable choice nowadays are cargo shorts, which I don't care for. My T-shirt selection is pretty good, but my mother is rather slow regarding laundry, so I occasionally encounter slim pickings. Shoes are no problem. I've got two pairs of Converse, one low tops and one high tops. I also have a pair of Timberland boots that I wear extensively in the winter months.
  3. I was diagnosed with Asperger's around age eight, but my parents have insisted that it is only "borderline." I'm assuming that the "borderline" definition is only to make me feel less affected, but it has no effect on my view of myself and the disorder.
  4. I think I might be the most recent one to join the herd. Here's my story. Sometime in February of 2016, while lurking on YouTube, I saw a video called "Animated Atrocities," by a YouTuber called TheMysteriousMrEnter, pop up in the recommended videos pane. Out of curiosity, I clicked on it and watched. I liked the video series enough to continue watching more and more episodes, and along the way I noticed how Mr. Enter was blatant about himself being a brony. I wondered to myself, "what is so great about MLP that caused such a huge fanbase?" By the time I started wondering this, it was already midway through March. I had read some basic background information about the show from various websites, and I decided "hey, maybe I should give it a shot." So, on March 28th, I sat down at my computer, pulled up KissCartoon, found MLP, and started off fairly enough at the very beginning, watching it with an open mind. After watching a few episodes, I found the show to be plenty good enough to warrant such a large and devoted legion of fans. "And that's how Equestria was made!"
  5. Rainbow Dash is my favorite character, though my personality is a mix of her, Fluttershy, and Twilight. Why RD? On the internet, I tend to be self-centered and arrogant. Why Fluttershy? In real life, I am introverted, and can be easily frightened depending on the scenario. (In cases where most others are not scared, I can be, and vice versa.) Why Twilight? I don't want to brag excessively, but I would say my intelligence is higher than average. (I'm not super-wicked-smart, but my report cards consist of mostly A's.)
  6. I'll have to watch the first few episodes of the next generation to see how it turns out. If it's up to par with FiM, or even better than it, then you bet I'm sticking around. If Hasbro decides to kill off the fandom by going back to the poorly-written, overly-girly style of G3 and Tales, then I, probably accompanied by a good chunk of the current fandom, will quietly leave. Let's hope they choose the first option, so I still have something to do with my life.
  7. As others have said, most of the characters have reached their zenith, so I believe Hasbro is trying to wind the show down. I think the movie is the finale to FiM, and possibly to G4 as a whole, but with its premiere slated for October of next year, I'm betting there will be a 7th season coming out early next year to bridge the gap. It's plausible that if there is a Season 7, it will only be 13 episodes, which would give Hasbro/DHX more time to work on the movie, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
  8. Well, what I'd do depends on various factors. For example, if I remained as a human when going to Equestria, I'd probably turn around because I don't know how the ponies would react to a new species. But, if I was transformed into a pony (which I assume would be the case), then I'd probably go on living the life of a typical pony, and if anypony were to question my origins, I'd tell them the full story. Hopefully I'd be able to befriend some ponies--perhaps even the Mane Six!
  9. I believe that the movie will be the finale to the whole series, though given its late 2017 scheduled release, there is enough time to squeeze in a 7th season between now and then, so the 6th season might not be the last. I'm kind of conflicted on whether or not I want it to be a finale, though. On one hand, if they continue for more seasons, they'll run out of ideas, which leads to re-using plots, flanderizing characters, and/or shoehorning in new characters in a desperate attempt to keep the show alive (I'm looking right at you, SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents. You've both done each of these things.) Yet at the same time, I don't want FiM to end so soon, since I only discovered it recently (damn, I really should have hopped on the bandwagon back in 2011 or 2012, when the fandom was more active.)
  10. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums?: Google How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Well, it all started when I discovered one YouTuber by the name of TheMysteriousMrEnter. He produces three web series: one focusing on really bad animated TV shows and movies, one focusing on really good animated TV shows and movies, and for the last one, he reviews MLP:FiM episodes. I had been a fan of the first two shows for a while, in which he would frequently reference FiM in some way or another. I thought to myself, "you know, what's so great about this show anyway?" So I went to KissCartoon, found that they had the show there (of course), and started watching. Boy, I wish I had discovered FiM sooner. I instantly became addicted to it, and now I watch it every day after school and practically nonstop on weekends. I've gotten through the first three seasons and halfway through the fourth season. Aaand this all happened only a week ago. Is that bad? I'm a 15 year old guy (but I'll be turning 16 at the end of April), with a passion for working on computers. Mostly hardware-related stuff (a circuit board , but sometimes I tinker with software as well. I like video game music, and while I would like to compose my own video game music, I'm not particularly skilled in that field, but that doesn't mean I can't practice.
  11. Welcome to MLP Forums, everyoneknowsitsme! I hope you have a great time here. /)
