Why Hasn't Any Information About Season 7 Been Released?
Sonic5421 replied to Sly's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
She does that, and Tartarus will be the least of her worries. It will be total annihilation for killing the Princess of Friendship, and that won't leave a trace of Chrysalis left as she'll be downright atomized for pulling that stunt. -
Why Hasn't Any Information About Season 7 Been Released?

I understand what you mean. Still, even if Chrysalis did do that, sooner or later, someone would find out what happened, and she would be in deep trouble for eliminating the Elements of Harmony and the Royal Family since her drones would not be able to maintain their ruse forever to keep Equestria unaware over what happened to their sovereigns and saviors in the span of a couple of days. -

What about what some fans were considering instead? That being having the Royal Family and Mane Six transformed and mutated into Changelings instead? You think Chrysalis would enjoy having them under her sway as Changelings rather than keep them prisoner in cocoons? I only suggest this because of an unfinished comic that the Brony reviewer Ink Rose has done showing Celestia turned into a Changeling herself, but still retaining some of her free will and personality despite her new appearance. -

Perhaps they kept Flurry Heart separate from the older ponies because she was too small to keep in a cocoon like the others. We did see a Changeling personally return Flurry Heart to Cadance and Shining Armor, indicating they kept Flurry Heart in a separate location from the throne room where the rest of the Royal Family and Mane Six were being kept for Chrysalis to have as trophies. -

Sonic5421 replied to Sly's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Well, I don't think we actually saw her in a cocoon with the others. We only saw her when the Changelings returned her to Cadance and Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart was not covered in slime from a cocoon like everyone else, sans Luna, so that's why I forgot to include her in my earlier comment regarding comparing the Season 6 finale to the Season 2 finale. -

My thoughts exactly. I'm saying seeing how she cocoons them would be both, too scary and too gross. -

Sonic5421 replied to Sly's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
That's why I said they had to have been kidnapped during the night while asleep. They would have been only semi-conscious, trying to wake up, but couldn't because of the fluid in the cocoons keeping them sedated until the cocoons broke open and allowed the fresh air to reach them and revive them fully. Also, I don't want to know how Chrysalis did cocoon them anyhow since it would be too scary for the target audience based on how they would actually describe it. -
Why Hasn't Any Information About Season 7 Been Released?
Sonic5421 replied to Sly's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Spiders don't put their prey in cocoons that are translucent and allow us to see what's inside, which leads to the "And I Must Scream" trope when we saw how Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Twilight, and everyone else were still semi-conscious, but the only indication of life in them was their twitching hooves and eyelids as many looked like they were taken during the night, and Luna was the only one who was probably fully conscious compared to everyone else since she opened her eyes fully when she felt her cocoon shift and Chrysalis press her hooves into the outer shell as it was Luna who managed to fight off the anti-magic field's influence long enough to warn Starlight, and was the only one not covered in slime when everyone was freed. Even if we would want to know how Chrysalis does it, or has the drones do it instead, it might be too much Nightmare Fuel for the younger viewers to bear. -
Why Hasn't Any Information About Season 7 Been Released?
Sonic5421 replied to Sly's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
True, but there's also the matter of how the rest of the Mane Six got captured as well, and the Royal Family too. No explanation for that, and I'm hoping it will be answered in the Season 7 premiere in at least some acceptable way. True, but with no explanation as to how Chrysalis pulled it off and got them in those cocoons to begin with, it leaves one big plot hole that needs to be answered in some way in the Season 7 premiere to bring some closure to the Season 6 finale, and in a way that we can all accept. -
Why Hasn't Any Information About Season 7 Been Released?
Sonic5421 replied to Sly's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Yeah, not to mention having Celestia stuck in a cocoon get multiplied by 10 with having Luna, Cadance, Twilight, Shining Armor, and the Mane Six stuck in cocoons as well this time around. Makes one wonder how Season 7 will open with tying events there to the Season 6 finale. -
Yeah, since the target audience is little girls and not us Bronies specifically, not much we can do about what is happening to the Royal Family at this point in the series. One can only wonder and hope if the writers will ever even consider showing mercy to the Royal Family in the future, or leave them in their current position for the rest of the series as nothing more than exposition and hostages to do with as they please while leaving Nicole, Tabitha, Britt, and Andrew with less and less dialogue for them as time goes on.
-
You make a good point there. Six seasons into the series, and the damage done to Celestia at this point is probably irreversible. I wonder if the Royal Family will even get some sort of redemption from the writers, aside from helping to save the Crystal Empire in the Season 6 premiere, or they will be doomed to be used only for exposition and hostages from now on in any premieres, finales, or episodes they even make a physical appearance in, dialogue or not.
-
Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if Nicole Oliver feels her role as Princess Celestia is starting to become unnecessary because of Celestia getting less and less screen time and dialogue lately, especially with the Season 6 finale with Celestia not appearing until the late half of Part 2, and her only dialogue being talking to Thorax and then suggesting the ponies and Discord all head home for some recuperation at the Sunset Festival in Starlight's old village. If Celestia, and even Cheerilee, since Nicole voices both of them, doesn't get more screen time and dialogue in Season 7, I'm sure a lot of Celestia fans are going to be upset.

Wait, who was raising the sun?
Sonic5421 replied to Unlikeable Pony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Well, until we get news of the Season 7 premiere, like an animatic or preview of it, not much we can go on regarding what will happen there to tie into the events of To Where and Back Again to bring some closure to it. Whatever happens, I'm certain we'll either be impressed or angered by how they bring closure to the Season 6 finale in the Season 7 premiere. True, no one knew about Celestia and everyone else being kidnapped and replaced by Changeling fakes this time around except for Sunburst, Starlight, and Thorax, but unless something regarding the drones who took the place of the Royal Sisters tips off the Royal Guards that they are following fakes, who knows how Season 7 will open with everyone returning to a, in their case, a normal way of life.- 31 replies

Wait, who was raising the sun?
Sonic5421 replied to Unlikeable Pony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I have to agree with you on how the Mane Six, and the Royal Family, who I love the most, were given the shaft here so Starlight, Discord, Trixie, and Thorax could be the ones to save the day, bring about the Deus Ex Machina that frees everyone in a matter of seconds, and leaves so many questions and plot holes behind in the process. It is ridiculous! Not to mention having Celestia barely get any dialogue after being absent for most of the finale until the end, seeing her stuck in a cocoon again, and not even seeing her and everyone else get freed from the cocoons when the throne blew sky high from an overload of love energy, then when everything is set and done and Chrysalis escapes vowing revenge, Celestia is all like, "Even if Chrysalis refuses to repent and reform, Equestria is safe, we have a new ally in a former enemy, and life is back to normal for all of us." I really hope the Season 7 premiere shows the Royal Family and Mane Six having psychological issues over having nearly lost Equestria to Chrysalis twice now before a miracle and Deus Ex Machina bailed their sorry flanks out of the fire on both occasions so things could return to as normal as things get when the country is not threatened by a big, bad villain.- 31 replies

Sonic5421 replied to Unlikeable Pony's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Sounds like a lot of people are questioning how Chrysalis pulled off keeping the day/night cycle going after kidnapping the Royal Sisters without raising any concerns as to how she was doing it with Celestia and Luna cocooned and their magic blocked by her throne's anti-magic field. So many plot holes and questions in this finale, I don't blame some Bronies for not liking it because of that. I don't blame you for hating it because of so many plot holes and unanswered questions.- 31 replies

The comics will be tied to season 7
Sonic5421 replied to TheAnimatorOfficial's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Considering that information, I'm inclined to agree with you on that. Until we get more information regarding main comic series issues 51-53, not much we can speculate on regarding what will happen in those comics to tie into Season 7, and whether or not it will bring some closure to the Season 6 finale as well. We'll have to wait until more information becomes available, then we'll know what to anticipate regarding the comics, then the debut of Season 7 afterwards. -
The comics will be tied to season 7
Sonic5421 replied to TheAnimatorOfficial's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I hope that's the case. I really want the Season 7 premiere to close the door on leftover events from To Where and Back Again without the events from the current story arc in the comics and the one in upcoming issues 51-53 causing more questions to pop up and cause more confusion instead of resolution before Season 7 even gets started this Spring, especially regarding the Royal Family, Mane Six, and Starlight as well. -
Yeah, same here. Let's hope Celestia gets an episode to herself in Season 7, or one with either Luna, or the rest of the Royal Family along with her.

You're not the only one who wants an episode just to the Royal Sisters. I want one as much as all those Celestia and Luna fans out there in the Brony Community.

Why doesn't anyone want the Mane 6 to save the day?

Sonic5421 replied to heavens-champion's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Can you blame me? They are my favorite characters after all. I just did not appreciate how Haber displayed them in the Season 6 finale. I'll let it slide since it was his first go at a season finale after he probably wrote the Season 5 finale, but I had better see the Royal Family be shown some more love in the Season 7 premiere like with how they were done in the Season 6 premiere with helping save the Crystal Empire then. -

Sonic5421 replied to heavens-champion's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Same here, especially with how the Royal Family helped save the day in the Season 6 premiere. I want them to be able to help save the day again at some point instead of being sidelined with being kidnapped and needing to be rescued every time, with the Season 6 finale being the worst of those moments. If the Royal Family, or even Celestia, can save the day for once, then I'll be satisfied with the outcome. -
I'm going with Twilight's ascension in Magical Mystery Cure and the Crusaders getting their cutie marks in Crusaders of the Lost Mark. The Season 6 finale just did not have as much wham to it regarding the Changelings' reformation when compared to those episodes since it was mostly a way for Starlight to complete her own reformation by being put into a similar position she put Twilight in back in the Season 5 premiere and bringing someone's followers around to a new way of life from their old one.
-
While I generally enjoyed many of the episodes in Season 6, the finale was a major bummer for me because of how Haber had the Royal Family be the heroes in the season premiere, then gave them and the Mane Six the shaft in the finale by having them be captured off-screen, without explanation, by the Changelings, and pretty much sit out the finale until the very end with everything rushed to resolution and putting them back in their places as Equestria's sovereigns and saviors once more without showing any signs of distress or trauma suffered from Chrysalis' actions. The Princesses are my favorite characters, but I did not appreciate how Celestia, Luna, and Cadance were treated in the finale with little screen time, and in Celestia's case, dialogue, after their heroics in the premiere. I really hope Season 7 has its premiere bring closure to the unanswered questions and plot holes left over by the Season 6 finale in a way of how human Twilight dealt with her nightmares of Midnight Sparkle in Legend of Everfree with the support of her friends. If they do that with the Royal Family and Mane Six as they conquer their nightmares regarding Chrysalis, I know the series will continue, even after the feature film next year.
