  1. I still play with my plushies and bring them with me to the dinner table to join in deep meaningful conversations.
  2. I think money for security is a good thing but I no longer think of material things as having as much attraction as they once did. As long as I can have enough to pay the bills and maybe travel just a little bit, I'm perfectly happy.
  3. I watched Fallout, the final episode of The Prisoner (1966). This is a great finale to a great show. Very trippy but there's really no way to wrap up a show like The Prisoner in a simple way.
  4. When Marnie Was There (2014). This Studio Ghibli sleeper is one of my go-to movies when I'm stressed. it's so relaxing and focuses on two girls who form a close friendship over a summer. There's a twist on who the protagonist's bestie is, but you have to wait for the end. Either way, for me it just works best as a best friends story, and it delivers. The animation is gorgeous and I don't think this movie ever really got the props it deserved.
  5. I've seen Jack Jones four times. One of them was a musical broadway show (Guys and Dolls) so it doesn't exactly count as a concert, but it's what really made me appreciate Jack Jones and I've been a massive fan ever since.
  6. I like Cucumber & Lime. Its weird but it grows on ya.
  7. On the forums it would be @TheRockARooster. We talk about everything already and I can’t think of anything we’d keep secret. So sharing a brain directly wouldn’t be all that different than our usual conversations. Offline I'd say my soul sister from work. We're already like two people sharing a single brain...wait, that didn't come out quite right. But you get the idea, I hope.
  8. I’d be the goofy girl who isn’t terribly popular but always seems to be in the background of everyone else’s photos. I don’t make much of a noise but no one can really seem to get rid of me either.
  9. I already go by KayJay, which is a combo of my first and second initials. And because it’s an honor to be awarded a nickname by someone else, as this one is, I’m happy with it. The only nickname I’ve ever given myself is not very flattering.
  10. I’m almost exactly the same. If I’m not willing to say or do something face-to-face in real life, then it’s probably not appropriate anywhere online either. I don’t like rudeness online just because I can hide behind an avatar, and I don’t like it when people treat me badly either. So it’s the usual rule of thumb to treat others as I would have them treat me. The Golden Rule applies everywhere. Granted, I do sometimes speak a little bit candidly and probably shouldn’t. And I can be rather opinionated as well, which doesn’t always sit well with others. But at least it’s the real me, online and off, for whatever it’s worth.
  11. I purse my lips and sometimes bop my head back and forth. If I'm listening to something really sublime, I sometimes have a pained expression, like I'm about to cry.
  12. It sounds horrible to put it this way, but it’s the people (or at least a gross majority). People in this area are hive-minded lunatics who are so malleable that any stupid idea can be programmed into them without the slightest effort. However, as idiotic as many seem to be, they have an ingenious instinct for excluding anything even remotely intelligent from getting past their mental firewalls. It’s like they know the difference between smart and stupid, but only embrace the latter because the lowest common denominator is always easier.
  13. I’d go with the orange one, assuming it also covers intellectual abilities like learning a language or how to play a musical instrument. Otherwise I’d go with the blue; it would make travel so fun and convenient.
  14. Aside from meals like turkey on Thanksgiving, I have Prime Rib on Christmas, Lamb on Easter and I also eat fish on fridays during Lent.
  15. I almost drowned in the ocean when I was a teenager. I got caught in an undertow and it almost finished me. I had nightmares for years afterward. Obviously this wasn't deliberate. What was deliberate was my first roller coaster (the Matterhorn at Disneyland). It’s not the most intimidating coaster but it was my first and I was quite young. My dad was sitting behind me with his arm wrapped around me, and I dug my fingernails so deeply into his arm he still has little scars there to this day.
  16. I love the action; there’s always something to do, at any time of day. I also love the weather; it’s sunny, warm and only mildly humid most of the time. And the nature; I live in a huge city, but there’s still a lot of palm trees and my favorite part; the jasmine that blooms here in the spring and summer. There’s no greater scent in all the world!
  17. I used to use jeditoon or jeditoonfox quite a bit, and I still have some old accounts with these names. Nothing has really changed all that much.
  18. Doing alright. Mild tummy issues but I’m pretty sure I’ll live to see another day. My arm is in a cast but it doesn’t hurt and I’m getting used to it.
  19. Late ‘90s; maybe 1997ish. I was looking at Star Wars toys on a public computer at a Kinko's store.
  20. Rather than it being a matter of YT controlling the thumbs-down on certain specific posts, apparently they’ve applied this to all posts. That way they can hide their actual motives under a wider blanket of BS. Here's a video that covers it well: The Real Reason YouTube Is Hiding Dislikes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1Izh3-c88Y

  22. Fair enough. Admittedly I can be very harsh about Disney's version of Star Wars because I lived my whole life very close to the real thing, and decades of waiting for a sequel came to such a bad end. But all prejudices aside, I can't stand bad filmmaking no matter what franchise it is, and its pretty easy to see the amateurish hands at work here. As far as Kathleen Kennedy, I don't watch the Youtuve videos because I already have my own opinions and don't need a witch hunt. I already knew what she was long before it became popular to trash her. When george first handed over the reins of Lucasfilm to her I thought it was a good choice, but I soon realized she was an opportunist riding the coat tails of George's achievements while accomplishing little on her own beyond trying to twist Star Wars into her own feminist universe. I liked the fact of Ahsoka coming to live action but hated the way she was miscast solely for the purpose of making another cliche woke statement, when Ashley Eckstein was clearly the perfect choice to play her live. Even if they had to recast the character I would have liked to see someone who at least fit the character and tried to be faithful to it. Whatever people may think of the prequels (and here. don't assume they're universally hated just because too many vocal fans mimic the same sentiment), George Lucas is the only person perfectly qualified to helm Star Wars in any capacity. As I've always said, like it or not, George lucas IS Star Wars and its his universe. If he wanted to make pastel ponies romping through the fields in stormtrooper armor, and called it Star Wars, then it is Star Wars. Fans can't put it to a vote what we'll allow in 'our' Star wars universe. Its George's, and what he says, goes, whether its popular or not. We fans are just along for the ride. Okay, that's it for my rant. I understand your points and respect them. And like I said, I'm too close to see them any way but the way I do. The differences are what make it fun to talk about.
  23. Jurassic World: Dominion: (SPOILERS) I liked it, just as I liked all the Jurassic World flicks. It was fun, entertaining and action-packed, with some good munching and gratuitous violence. What's not to like? The ending didn't exactly solve any problems or change anything from the state of things at the start of the movie; merely showing dinos and present-day creatures co-existing and saying we're all buddies now and we'll get along, singing koom-bye-ya like there's no food chain, and romping through the meadows hand-in-hand. That's a Hollywood version of reality. But the bug problem was fixed by my hero Dr. Wu, and the movie delivered pretty well, so I can be a cynical jerk all I want, but in the end I still liked it.
  24. I talk too much and can't shut up sometimes. I even talk so fast, in order to say every last thing rattling around in my brain, that I stumble over my words and get tongie-tied. And trust me, nothing I say is ever that important.
  25. Steak & Shake, and Wendy's. To be fair, I've only eaten at one Steak & Shake, but it was terrible. The food was dry, flavorless and poorly assembled. Wendy's is hit and miss, but mostly miss. The food just lacks something...I think it's flavor.
