    I had a good night’s sleep and it helped me to feel better. Now I'm hanging out with my ponies and it's rather nice.

    Right now I’m learning how to do everything left-handed by necessity. So far it isn’t much fun and I’d rather be doing something else.

    I don’t struggle with it too badly. My main problem is keeping the same sleep schedule from night to night. If I get out of my rhythm I don’t sleep well unless I take some Melatonin to help me along.

    Clearly so. My bad, not all of us can be equally intuitive and pick up on the minutae. I should have picked up on the quacking though. That's a dead giveaway.

    To be honest I feel less than stellar. I had surgery on my hand and arm Monday and it still has some lingering pain. I won’t have the use of my right hand for quite a while and the splint I’m wearing feels like it weighs a ton. Just typing this post is taking way too long and I’m wondering if it’s worth it just to complain about this mess. Eh, maybe. I like to complain.

    I guess I lose pens a lot. I always have one in my pocket and they fall out when I pull something else out. Good thing I only use cheap pens. I also tend to lose my small flashlights, which I use for everything. Good thing I have a lot of them around.

    Nice collection! I love collecting Star Wars. I have quite a few of the vintage figures. All are complete and mint, but only six are MOC. The original lineup is the greatest.

    Fried and deep fried aren’t all that different. Deep frying is deeper submersion in hot oil. My mom’s recipe is just cooked in oil in a frying pan; not a huge difference. She also bakes it once in a while, and that’s pretty good too.

    I already chimed in on this thread with a more current lineup, but many of my favorites are older shows that deserve mention. Among them: Tiny Toon Adventures (1990), Animaniacs (1993), Chip an dale Rescue Rangers (1989), Droids & Ewoks Adventure Hour (1985/86), Battlestar Galactica (1978/79), Greatest American Hero (1981) The Prisoner (1966), Mission: Impossible (1966), Magnum PI (1980), Simon & Simon (1981), Remington Steele (1982), LOST (2004).

    Top Gun: Maverick (2022). Very solid, fun, feel-good movie that seems to have come from another time when they knew more about making movies. Tom Cruise’s insistence on making the aerial shots onboard real planes with the real actors put the action over the top. It may seem like a subtle difference between real and CG effects, but you can always tell when the real thing is on the screen because it has a certain intangible something that just pops out at you. The supporting cast was refreshingly unobtrusive, and Tom Cruise looked almost as young as the ‘next gen’ pilots he was training. I really liked this movie and can’t wait for the DVD release.

    Blend S. It’s a pretty lightweight anime about characters working in a Maid Café. So far it has some funny moments and it’s holding my attention but I’m only four or five episodes into it. It’s good if not brilliant.

    For years I used to sleep in the altogether because it was way more comfy than PJs, which always seemed kind of cloying. But in recent times I’ve started wearing PJs (in part or in whole). I wear a two-piece pajama set, usually light cotton button-down with capris. And if I can get them in nice colors or something a little more sheer, so much the better.

    I have several books in Japanese, with stories designed to be educational tools for beginners learning the language. Some of them are pretty challenging, but I’m hoping to do better when I have more time to commit to them.

    I’ve been getting calls and text messages on my old phone for some guy named Frank for almost a year. I’ve even had people text me, apparently with the same number but different area code, telling me they don’t want any of ‘my’ (Frank's messages) sent to their phones anymore, assuming I’m the aforementioned party. There’s nothing I can do about it and I wish I could get rid of his spam too, because most of it is really 'questionable' stuff.

    I was taking some sirloin out of the freezer to thaw for dinner tomorrow. I’m going to make Italian steak and pasta.

    It’s easy to see it outside my apartment. Clear skies right now so it’s a good night for viewing.

    I had a slice of no-bake cheesecake. Simple but satisfying.

    I always wear Disney watches; either Mickey or the Disney Castle from one or more of the parks. Currently I have a castle watch that’s made for cast members only and features a gold castle with the Disney D on a black face. Disney watches don’t seem to last as long as they used to so I had to buy a junky disposable watch just for hard outdoor work. I never use a phone to tell the time; that seems like too many steps compared to just turning my wrist and taking a glance. Watches are also a nice accessory.
