  1. Ste. Therese of Lisieux. I never even knew anything about her until late last year and it’s been an amazing journey ever since. It’s not just a matter of mere admiration, but an interactive experience lighting the path to something greater, even when I don’t think I’m capable of it. Her simple, perfect ‘Little Way’ of achieving great things makes it possible for anyone to be great, even me! (I mean that in all humility) She just became a major part of my life before I even realized it.
  2. I know lots of people at work who wear fursuits as their job. It may look fun on the outside but in the summer heat it can be pretty awful. Some of them have to keep salt tablets to compensate for all the sweating. They aren’t allowed onstage for very long and have to take frequent breaks, and each fursuiter has a handler that keeps an eye on them. There are other cast members who are required to wear fursuits as part of their training before they can perform similar tasks without the suit. This is mandatory but there have been at least a few exceptions to the rule in extenuating circumstances. I never put on a fursuit (one of those few lucky exceptions) but years after getting hired I had the opportunity to put on the headgear just to see what it was like. Let’s just say I’m glad I never had to train in the full outfit. Those performers are some real troupers and don’t get paid enough.
  3. Rather than having recurring dreams I have plenty of dreams that take place in recurring locations. Among them are fictionalized versions of a 1960s Las Vegas (completely different than the real one), a totally different Disneyland (in exquisite detail) and a department store from where I used to live on Oregon, which is the same as the real deal in name only. The storylines in these dreams are different every time and even the details of the locations change a bit. But they do show up with some frequency. The only recurring dreams I had were childhood nightmares (weird kid stuff) and some traumatic nightmares after I almost drowned when I was a teenager. I don’t have those dreams anymore though, thank goodness.
  4. I just bought my first smartphone this week. It's a Moto G Power and I like it so far. I bought a Samsung A50 a few days earlier but hated it so I sent it back and replaced it with the Moto. Aside from these, the only phone I've had is a little Samsung dumbphone I got on ebay for $20 about 11 years ago, and I don't even know what it's called.
  5. Sometime in early-mid 2016. I took a peek to see how it stacked up against Equestria Forums and finally decided to make this my permanent pony hangout.
  6. I have an original ‘Nursery Alice’ book by Lewis Carroll published in 1890. This was a version of Alice in Wonderland written for younger readers with some really nice inventive features added to it. I also have the Alice Postage Stamp Case (also 1890) which is insanely rare and complete, but I’m almost afraid to even open it up because it’s so fragile now. These were given to me as gifts and I cherish them.
  7. Of all the vehicles I’ve driven I like my little Smart Fortwo the best, especially with the top down when the weather is nice. It doesn’t feel like any other car I’ve had and I like it specifically for that reason. It’s more like a toy than a real car, and I like driving my toy around the L.A. freeways. I’ve driven a funky little electric cart at work and that was fun, but it doesn’t have all the pick-up of my ferocious 3 cylinder Smarty.
  8. Mmmno, not really. I like to drop by but always have too many things to do here and never enough time to cover it all. So, yeah, it’s pleasant being here but in a stressful kind of way.
  9. I’d by 70 million lotto tickets. Hey, I could get rich with odds like that!
  10. Ticks and Chiggers. I hate them and hope they all rot in insect hell for what they've done to my legs and ankles. Die, ticks, die!
  11. I don't need to share my hobbies really. I like to enjoy my interests in solitude because sharing them sometimes takes the potency out of them for some reason.
  12. I have a bunch of Star Wars magnets from the original trilogy and some from the prequels too. I've got R2-D2, Yoda, Vader, Chewie, a N1 Naboo Starfighter, Federation Droid Fighter and a vintage Star Tours magnet set from Disneyland.
  13. I wanted to work at Disneyland since I was little. I ended up living that dream to my great surprise. Otherwise I would have tried architecture or something like that. If I lived in Japan I'd work at a Maid Cafe; that sounds like a perfect fit for me. It sounds so silly and fun.
  14. I love Girls und Panzer, Drifting Dragons, Gun Gale Online, School Live, Tsuredure Children, Kokoro Connect, Rent-A-Girfriend and too many others to summon out of my tired old brain. Basically if it involves awkward romance, high school characters, guns and/or zombies, I'm down with it.
  15. Architypal. It just doesn't sound right to me. I can say it, but it wants to come out, 'Archetypical'. I don't even know what it means so it's not a big deal, but as long as we're chatting about it, I might as well mention it.
  16. Basil Rathbone, or possibly Peter O'Toole. Both have sublime voices and the capacity for humor. I'd be happy with either one.
  17. I managed to put wallpaper and my own ringtones into my new phone. This may not seem like much to most people but this is my first smartphone and tech of any kind is a major challenge for me.
  18. I used to exercise all the time but I don't have the time to much lately. I love to work out but I guess being super busy is a workout in its own way.
  19. Wow, this is a really tough question! I love artistic expression and would love to play ANY instrument, let alone all of them. But I also love to travel and would love to go to any country on earth and readily speak like a native, so I'm going with the language. Now that I've experienced the difficulty of trying to learn a language, I can imagine how nice it would be just to program it into my mind instantly.
  20. I’m a natural born average driver. I love to drive and I like to think I’m good at it, but the gestures (middle fingers) made by passing drivers, and the cacophony of car horns (as I play with my music or check my makeup in the rear-view while driving) tend to suggest otherwise.
  21. I went to several schools growing up and they varied in style, quality and age. My earliest school (1st grade) was fairly modern but simple, then I went to a very old school (2nd grade) that was maintained but way past its prime. Later grades (3-6) saw a lot of modern buildings augmented with portables (basically classrooms in a trailer) and high school was the same. Overall, most of my schools were in decent shape and clean, if not dazzling.
  22. I love my parents. They’ve done more and made more sacrifices than anyone really realizes. Parents don’t always get the credit they’re due because people only see what they do rather than the things they give up. In the case of my parents, they have a lot in both categories. I’m very grateful for their thinking outside the box and doing what was right by their kids instead of what is obvious or easy. They’re caring, generous and fair. Even when I was growing up and didn’t want to be told ‘no’ I still realized that good parents aren’t supposed to allow anything and everything. My parents kept a good balance and always explained their reasons clearly if I questioned their decisions. If they made a mistake (nobody’s perfect) they were always fair enough to admit it and change their minds rather than doubling down and insisting on their way in all things.
  23. I don’t like the sound of chewing. Phones ringing and wake-up alarms are pretty high on the list too.
  24. I've watched this video dozens of times since I stumbled across it last week. I've lost about a quart of tears watching this thing.
  25. I love Clair de Lune. It’s so magical and dream-like. And Pas de Deux and Waltz of the Snowflakes from the Nutcracker. So powerful and sweet.
