"Surf and/or Turf" - Of course this show is saccharine, but this was a bit too much for me. The overbearing niceness of everyone in it, the generally mild humour, and the significant emphasis on lighthearted worldbuilding certainly has an appeal, but this is absolutely not the show I signed up for, and if the season continues like this I'm not sure I'll care enough to reach the end. Okay moral, but I can't really connect to being torn between two places because of how awesome they both are. It feels like a nice problem to have, and I'm certain the moral means something to a lot of people, but it just doesn't feel terribly dramatic. This is almost exactly the kind of story which makes me hesitant to watch children's shows. I've always wanted this show to change, but I'm not sure I like what it's becoming.

That's kind of the point. Both Seaquestria and Mount Aris are fantastic places, and Terramar loves being in both. But because his parents no longer live together, he feels like he has to choose which one, and the quality of both locales makes it difficult.

@Dark Qiviut I just can’t relate. This seems like a nice problem to have, and I struggle to understand what led Terramar to feel he had to choose. There’s just not very much conflict here. And I feel the emphasis on place sort of smothers the human element; surely he’s choosing between parents too, and that holds more weight to me, but the episode seems more interesting in the places where he’d live.
