"On the Road to Friendship" - Temporarily loses my attention when Starlight and Trixie start bickering, but otherwise I found this fairly delightful. This gives Trixie a little more emotional depth while expanding on Starlight's range of interests, and their character dynamic is as cute and funny as ever. The cold open is up there with "Horse Play" and "The Mean 6" as the best of the whole season. Loved the routine, loved the song, loved how they finally made up at the end, loved the moral, all of which makes me wish these two could finally get a more Faust-style episode. It's all just very charming and funny, and even though I felt the bickering went on a bit too long, it's built up much better than other examples this season, and is fairly similar to road trip episodes in other shows. My other gripe is Starlight again not asking for consent, which I feel is a lot harder to justify with this season's friendship school gimmick going on. Overall though, this is perhaps my favourite Starlight or Trixie episode since season 6.
