"The Washouts" - I dunno about this one. There's a lot of moments with strong comic timing, and little bits like Rainbow's initial fondness for the Washouts, or Lightning Dust's initial positive reaction to Rainbow. I just don't think it really succeeds at making Rainbow's concerns sympathetic. At first it pushed way too close to Rainbow just being egotistical and selfish, and then I got very bored when she got all overprotective. I feel like this could have applied a lighter touch, and I feel like it doesn't give enough credit to the Washouts themselves. The ending, where Lightning Dust just becomes the villain, and where Rainbow saves Scootaloo without asking, is godawful. What happened to the show that tried to see the good in everybody? This is ultimately just too simplistic and loud for my tastes.
