I dunno, there weren't a whole lot of dangling threads left that I cared about in season 8, so the times that season 9 has tried to create closure feel kinda forced to me. And it sometimes looks to me like people here are rewarding "closure" over good storytelling. 

People just want good send offs for certain characters. When you get episodes like 246Great and Dragon Dropped so late, especially when they are supposed to be RD and Rarity's last episodes respectively, you'd think the writers hated the show or characters they were working on

Because people expect any finale of any show that have any plot, arcs or any progression at all should have some decent closures. That’s the minimum requirement for a good show, starting out interesting, building up something and wrapping thing up properly, and people who invested for the show for over 5 years must have some expectations, hopes and dreams, cant they? If Mlp is like Tom & Jerry where cat-mouse story can repeat with no ends, people will like it for different reason and have different expectations. I dont know this will explain people’s complain or not but that’s just my thought.
