      She barely even appeared in seasons 8 and 9.

      According to the MLP wiki, she appeared in 2 episodes in season 7. Did she do much in those episodes?

      In one she had a funny subplot, and in the other she was a supportive voice of reason to Twilight's usual perfectionism. She also had a funny supporting role in the Christmas special "Best Gift Ever," and a very minor appearance in the season 9 premiere. Aside from that, cameos at best.
