  1. Do you think Shining Armour ever met Cadance's adoptive family?

  2. I was kinda excited for another season of Josh Haber's lazy story editing, especially after I felt the Lewis & Songco way overdid it last season, but the weird creativity which made season 6 appealing to me isn't rearing its head often enough this year. It's too late to find the right balance.

Oh well, at least "Horse Play" happened.

  5. Chimie Cherry or Cherry Changa?  (My favorite funny scene in MLP:FiM.)

  6. "Non-Compete Clause" - If this show is gonna take things I liked about the show in the past and ruin them, I'm not sure I want to watch anymore.

  8. Is it weird that I'm more excited for new Equestria Girls Youtube shorts on Friday's

than I am for new episodes of MLP:FiM on Saturday's?

  9. I will never understand the mindset of people who complain when My Little Pony characters don't make the absolute best decisions all the time.

  10. Y'all were way too harsh towards season 6.

  13. "Surf and/or Turf" - Of course this show is saccharine, but this was a bit too much for me. The overbearing niceness of everyone in it, the generally mild humour, and the significant emphasis on lighthearted worldbuilding certainly has an appeal, but this is absolutely not the show I signed up for, and if the season continues like this I'm not sure I'll care enough to reach the end. Okay moral, but I can't really connect to being torn between two places because of how awesome they both are. It feels like a nice problem to have, and I'm certain the moral means something to a lot of people, but it just doesn't feel terribly dramatic. This is almost exactly the kind of story which makes me hesitant to watch children's shows. I've always wanted this show to change, but I'm not sure I like what it's becoming.

  14. “Isle of Dogs” - No Moonrise Kingdom or Grand Budapest Hotel, but Wes Anderson’s hot streak continues unabated.

  17. "Fake It Till You Make It" - Lingers for long stretches on kinda weak jokes, and then just goes entirely forced and nonsensical halfway through. Some cute moments, but ugh.

  20. Had a discussion with a friend recently about the term "every-creature." I maintain that "creature" is apparently a neutral, perfectly inoffensive term in-universe, and I'm probably not going to be bothered by it in the future, but I guess I don't see why "everyone" wouldn't be just as good, and it would certainly be less ambiguous as to implication. Sometimes I do wish that fantasy stories would use more mundane terminology to make themselves more accessible.
